20 Sulcan part 6

ten minutes later, third floor-

*Clang*

*Swift*

*Swoosh*

*boom*

The sounds of battle echoed throughout the temple as Ariock, with a dulled short sword, fought against several average sized warriors, who looked almost identical to each other.

All of them had slightly pale skin with pitch black veins covering a good portion of their body. Their eyes, like their faces, lacked apathy, all except rage. The hair on there heads while white at first turned into a shade of red rust further down. Finally to top it off they wore blood red knight armor that sent out power in waves, which matched their red swords currently in their hands.

Going back to the fight Ariock "lightly" kicked one of the rage induced warriors into a wall, before having to jump back as a stream of scarlet destructive energy fired towards him.

Spotting the origin of the blast, it being one of the warriors to his left, Ariock quickly forced a "small bit" of mana in his palm turned it into electricity and fired it towards the culprit. Effectively knocking the warrior out.

With one more down Ariock sighed heavily before going back in battle.

While ducking under his adversary's red sword, Ariock sent a "small blast" of purple fire swirling towards his attacker forcing the red knight dodge. 'So maybe it wasn't the best idea to blindly follow the magic pressure I felt earlier' Ariock thought.

'

'Well whatever, no use crying about it now. The only thing I can do is beat the ever living shit out of these guys. But that's easier said than done, especially since they are mostlikely citizens controlled by that parasite. I'm going to have to use a bit more of my power to do this without killing them, around a quarter the amount I use when sparring with dad should do them in.'

Agreeing with himself Ariock transitioned into a basic battle stance, feet first, both hands on sword, and a straight back. Then faster than the warriors could process he appeared behind the closest one.

It was only through sheer instinct and experience that the white haired warrior turned around and attempted to block the sideways slash aiming for it's abdomen.

This defense was in vain.

Ariocks sword practically ignored the warriors weapon by breaking it in half and striking the armor of the warrior, leaving a large indent and sending the warrior into a wall knocking it out.

Ariock now seeing how effective his attack was smiled and turned to the remaining red knights.

"Night-night kids" he said as he disappeared once more.

The last thing the warriors felt before darkness enveloped them, was a sharp pain on each of their heads.

Done with his admittedly decent opponents Ariock continued forward.

-X-

-Another ten minutes -

*Boom!*

A large explosion, courtesy of the mage versions of the warriors before, sent Ariock skirting backwards trailing smoke and damaged floor tiles with him.

When he stopped moving he stood up and shook off the extra dirt and grime splattered on his clothing. Done, he looked at the rapidly clearing smoke caused by the explosion.

Out from the smoke came three figures.

One was a tall athletic woman who's eyes shined a beautiful shade of blue, had black hair along with a wondrous face, and wore a very revealing leather get up that proudly showcased everything. She held a metallic whip made of a very elastic steal. The way she stared at Ariock made him shiver, it felt as if a monster was trying to dominate him.

Another was a short chubby man that had gold eyes with a crazed glint in them. He had no hair leaving his head bare, and shiny. On his person was a magician robe that clearly were meant for someone of taller nature, along with two bracelets on each arm that leaked small traces of magic. His posture was of someone who awaited for the smallest signs of weakness before he struck. A sure sign of someone not to be trusted.

The last of the trio was a male child around eight - ten years old. He had large brown innocent almond shaped eyes and brown messy hair. He wore a small slightly baggy black and white waiter outfit with black dress shoes and a black tie. On his hands were white gloves that had a symbol of Gora placed on it. While having an relatively un-threatening appearance Ariock knew better.

These three are Samantha, Elie, and Timothy the protectors of this temple and followers of gora.

When the smoke fully cleared behind the Trio a small army of 100 red knights showed their faces.

Glaring at the trio Ariock knew he was in a bind. The reason being he couldn't use any high tier magic in this temple.

Well he could but he shouldn't. If he were to do so he'd risk breaking some of the barriers of the temple weakening the seal on gora.

Could he defeat the trio and there little army? Absolutely.

Can he do that without using any high tier magic or abilities? Most likely.

Can he defeat Gora? No, not even a chance.

For as powerful as Ariock is he knows he isn't a top dog, in fact in gods standards he's only a mid-tier God possibly high-tier.

Meanwhile Gora is a major God, she completely outclassed Ariock.

All this information was running in Ariocks mind at a thousand miles a minute until one of the trio spoke, the woman.

"your pretty sturdy for someone your age. Most would have been killed instantly from the explosive spell that chubby uses." The woman said smirking.

"Who the hell are you calling chubby!" said the short man besides her with a tick mark.

The woman apparently didn't care for the man as she just waved him off before continuing.

" My name is Samantha, the loud one's Elie, and the kids Timothy we are the Warriors of rage." She said pointing to the other two.

Ariock raised an eyebrow as he didn't exactly expect an introduction coming from them.

Shrugging it off Ariock introduced himself.

"The names Ariock a loyal follower of Jericho, God of snakes."

Now it was her turn to raise an eyebrow.

"Jericho God of snakes? Don't think I've heard of him before."

Ariock shrugged before responding" He's a newer God that hasn't been around for long."

Nodding her head in acknowledgement she said" Ah no wonder I didn't know who that was, thanks for the info".

Ariock just nodded and said" your welcome now are we going to fight? I still have a mission you know. "

Getting her whip ready she smiled.

"Sure, but I have one more question for yah".

Annoyed by this chatter he waved for her to continue, only for him to widen his eyes when she with her friends teleported in front of him.

" Does your God have a heaven?" Samantha said in a all too sweet tone.

Surprised Ariock tried to jump back only for Samantha's whip to take hold of his leg and with more force than he expected slam him into the ground, creating a crater.

While momentarily surprised Ariock quickly composed himself and sent electricity through the whip causing her to hiss in pain and forcing her to let him go.

Now free he wordlessly summoned three balls of black fire and sent them hurdlring at the trio.

Samantha dodged the fire, Elie clicked his bracelets together and created a small bubble like shield that tanked the fire, and the child (Timothy) summoned a brown magic circle and motioned his hand upwards causing the ground to form into a wall blocking it.

Overall his fire did Jack shit, but it didn't really surprise Ariock. If it did do damage he would have been very disappointed, after all a warrior of a God shouldn't be weak.

Ariock couldn't think further as he bended his body backwards in order to narrowly escape a powerful sideways kick from Samantha, and used the movement to force himself in a handstand before expertly "lightly kicking" Samantha in the stomach making her reel back in pain and surprise leaving her open.

Ariock seeing this took advantage of it. He quickly tried to grap Samantha and harshly smash her against the wall hopefully knocking her out, only for Elie to appear besides her and point his hand (Which had a yellow magic circle on it) at him.

Widening his eyes Ariock instantaneously activated his automatic shield, just in time too because as soon as he did so a mildly powerful explosion shot forwards knocking Ariock slightly back.

He didn't let this stall him however.

Quickly thinking Ariock swiped his hand dispersing the cloud of dust caused by the explosion in an instant. Behind the newly cleared dust was a smiling Samantha and a smirking Elie.

Putting on a confused expression Ariock just chalked it up to being warriors of a bloodlust goddess, before realizing the kid was nowhere to be seen.

Ariock realized this not a moment to soon because right after he thought this a rock golem bursted out of the ground and hit Ariock with a uppercut that made him go air born for a few seconds.

Cursing himself mentally of his stupidity the hidden God looked at the golem with a pissed off look and faster than most could blink disappeared and reappeared in from of the rock golem before punching its head off, making it crumble into a pile of dirt and stone.

The false follower of Jericho then quickly honed his senses and snapped his head towards the location of the child soldier Timothy, which was inside a wall to his left.

Smirking devilishly Ariock plunged his hand into the wall easily breaking through it and grabbed Timothy's head before yanking backwards, brutally forcing the child out from the wall.

From the child's look of surprise and fear along with the others similar expressions they didn't expect this whatsoever.

Ariock, now holding a shut eating grin, chanted a few words in a whisper ( for dramatic effect) and proceeded to completely drain the magic energy out of the young boy.

As he did this the boys face slowly sunk in and his magical presence was quickly diminishing. The other two seeing this burst into action practically throwing themselves at Ariock.

Giving the hastily approaching duo a lazy smile Ariock tossed the child to them making them stop in there tracks and catch him, along with glaring nastily at Ariock.

An amused look came upon Ariocks face looking at their glares.

" What did you expect me to do? Go easy on him just because he's a kid?" Ariock said with a scoff, almost as if the very notion dissapointed him.

Growling Samantha spoke" No I didn't, but this is just brutal. If you kept going you could hav-" she was cut off as Ariock interrupted her.

"What killed him? So what?" Ariock stated with a harsh tone.

Samantha looked shocked.

"What kind of person says that with no hesitation?! " Samantha yelled with anger.

Ariock glared at her before saying" First off lady I'm not some hero that has a shitty moral conscience stopping me from doing whats necessary to accomplish my goals." The hidden God said annoyed as an image of a certain silver haired idiot came to mind.

"Secondly why the hell should you care? Your a warrior of a goddess that has the domains of bloodlust and murder ! This scene of brutality shouldn't faze you at all! In fact you should've been ecstatic seeing it!" He said with genuine confusion.

After all he'd thought they'd be bloodthirsty and uncaring towards each other not the opposite.

"Finally do you take me for a fool? You guys can't die since you aren't even completely real. Those bodies of yours are made out of mana,
