I'm getting a horrible feeling. That last call when my brother's roommate answered didn't sound correct. Not when Xavier claimed there was a blizzard. I got on the plane immediately. 2 hours later here I am standing at the front door. Yes it's cold but it's December in Indiana. Nothing bad enough to warrant a shutdown. I try the door but it's locked with chains around the handles. I pull a few times it won't budge. Then I hear a woman's scream. A cry of sheer terror.

I can't investigate anymore. If Xavier has. No, I don't want to start thinking down that road. But the boy said something was wrong. I pull out my dreamcatcher. I touch it to the glass and thin wisps of smoke come off.

"Shit" I curse running back to my rented SUV

I put on my seat belt backing the SUV up 100 feet. Taking a deep breath I slam on the gas. It slides a bit but I'm able to correct in time. The SUV slams through the doors with a jolt. My head hits the airbag as it deploys. After a brief moment of losing consciousness I come to. I shove the airbag away and grab my backpack. I'm happy I stopped to grab a few things. I get out of the SUV and stumble my first a couple of steps. Touching my forehead I feel blood. Then I notice the shattered windshield and glass everywhere. The screaming reaches me as well. I turn to see three people. Two girls and a boy standing across the small lobby. Pure shock on all their faces. I feel something burning in my hand. I lift the dreamcatcher its glowing blue. I glance around spotting a room. A deep gargled growl stirs its way through the room.

"Get in that room" I yell

The three of them do as I said. I stay put watching the darkness creep across the room. I lift my own dreamcatcher and it stops. One I've known my entire life. I can't meet the eyes and rush into the room behind me.
