Atlanta
During the ride we came upon the farm Rick grabbed the horse he was riding in his great entrance into Atlanta in the show. After driving past the farm, we experience the first road block. It takes 12 min to go around the roadblock and after 30 minutes of driving we arrived at the entrance to Atlanta. It was quiet and gloomy, but the problem was I noticed there was no walker as far as I can see. When we took our first step into Atlanta, I got a notice from the system issuing a quest.
Welcome to Atlanta, Rescue the survivors from Shane Camp
Rewards: 5 z coin per survivors saved, 10 bread, 20 bottle of water, + trust of the survivors
penalty: -10 z coin per survivors lose
Accept - decline
I accept, this quest came right on time. I'm so low on Z coins that I don't even have coins to fix and maintain the weapon I'm using right now. It seems that Rick noticed me spacing out so as not to alarm him. I asked if he noticed any walkers as not seeing them is more scary then seeing them wandering endlessly. As you never know where they will pop up from. It seems to get his attention as he turns his head around to check.
Rick POV
Listening to what Jack was saying it is strange that there are no walkers wandering about ever since I woke up there has always been walkers just wandering around. Turning my head around to check for any walkers. I did not see any so I turned back to look at Rose and the dogs to see a peaceful view of Rose sleeping peacefully near the dogs. Rose is enjoying the peace, it's nice to see the young girl resting as she is always trying hard to show that she is reliable so she is not left behind. It's sad to think that this little girl who should be enjoying life as a kid is now forced to mature.
A loud noise breaks me out of my thinking as it passes by us into the city. Looking out for what was making the noise I see that it's a helicopter flying over the city, this is it. That must be a government rescue team. I turn around to Jake and tell him to follow it but Jake looks at me if he is looking at a fool.
Jake POV
Looking at this fool I know this will happen but still, it's hard to believe that he knows about the walkers and how they react to noises but still wants me to follow it. While looking at him I ask him what he knows about the walkers. At first he yells it's about the helicopter this, and that but seeing how I'm acting. He quiet downs and answers with the things he knows about the walkers. It seems he to realized that he was looking for dead now that he had some time to process it.
Rick tells me how he was sorry for almost making a mistake and putting our life on line for something which was unclear. Moving on as it's not time yet where Rick has matured from his thinking process of a police officer to a survivor. Seeing that Rose has woken up from Rick's little yelling, he apologizes to Rose. I moved the car to the side as I asked Rick to try connecting to the others through the radio, and walkie-talkie that we had picked up from the police station.
While Rick works on the radio, I pick up the walkie-talkie and start trying to get a response.
"Hey everyone out there, can you hear me? If there's anyone in or near the city of Atlanta "
I received no reply, while waiting I checked up on how it was with Rick, It seems that he has it connected to someone but the sound is not clear. I take a look, and fix it here and there as the voice clears up we hear "hey anyone there, if you are hearing this please help. Some of our friends went to pick up some things from the city but they have not returned. Please help them "
Rick "hey, yes we hear you. Can you tell us who you are and what friends you are talking about? "
"Yes sorry my name is Amy, my older sister and some of our friends went into the city to get some supplies but have not returned. Can you help us find them, help them."
Rick looks back at me, looking at Rick I know he wants to help but he wants to hear what I want to do. Returning the look with a smile I tell we will help if we find them and that he should ask his family and if this group of people have any clue for us.
Rick turns on the radio, "yes we promise to help them if we cross paths with them. But there's something I want to ask. Have you heard or seen a family of two, mom and son who are with a friend of mine. Their names are Lori, Carl and Shane."
Amy "Thank you, yes I do know some people with those names I don't know if they are the ones you are looking for or not let me go call Shane."
Finally with some news about his family, Rick seems to be excited but I need to get back to contacting the survivors in the city.
"Hey can anyone hear me"
"Yes yes I hear you, thank god finally we got through. Hey we are trapped in a store with many of those freaks outside. Can you help us?"
Not going to lie my friend, you are truly in a pickle. But it's OK , I had promise our new friend that we will help you if you crossed paths with us.
Just keep quiet and not use gun if not necessary.
