Uncanny Trio

When she finally finished checking up Jane, she proceeded downstairs and drink a glass of water, when suddenly she could feel the ambiance grew stronger. She knelt and for a couple of minutes it was gone, so she decided to go out and find out what is happening.

She goes out, roaming when her eyes laid to a man jumping off to another building. She follows but when realizes that she couldn't catch up to him, she conjures a spell.

Gravija

Kate floats not too far to the target at the same time hiding in the dark. Looking down at him, she realized who it was, Van. She observes him with pure concern and amazement.

Jumping into other buildings he strips off and falls. She saw that there's a ground for the tree that could grow and she quickly releases a spell to save him.

Implante savor

In an instant, a tree suddenly grew out of nowhere and Van safely landed on a strong branch of that tree. She descended at the ground and run quickly to Van's location, but when she gets in there, there's no Van. She found herself standing at the abandoned building, she investigated at the alleyway and what he found was another victim, the very same fate happened to the recent incident.

She looks up to the abandoned building, she could feel two presence out there. The other one is human, the second one who's after him is somewhat supernatural. Her eyes observe at the entire place, to know whether if there's someone. When she knows that there's no one she jumps off again at the top of to another building. The monster is currently playing with the defenseless man. When the monster allowed Van to escape, she entered the scene as it aims to after him again.

Loopa Iradovia

Casting the spell, she raised her hand closing it, fisting and throws him sideward out of the building and out of Van's sight.

"It looks like, it's just you and me." She smirks as she descended. The monster growls in anger, it grows louder. Kate realizes what this means, he’s calling for back-up. A few more screeches can be heard across the city and it is getting louder.

"Oh no, you won't!

Silencio

The monster's mouth suddenly closes and a couple of stitches appeared.

His claws grew wider as it flew towards her, she flips sideward, evading and cast for another spell.

Feurballe

A ball of fire forms into her palm, and she throws it to the monster.

When the monster was inflicted by the spell, its wings grew out from its flesh and attempt to fly away but Kate lowers her hands, opens her palm, and concentrating.

Vignus fatus omnis implantus vegus, daselica!

In an instant, dozens of vines reaching out to the monster, dragging him back to the ground.

She was about to finish off the monster, but she could feel a presence besides Van, and this bothers her, knowing that it might be another mystical creature terrorizing the town. With that moment she releases the grip and hurriedly runs towards his location and what she witnessed is Van falling to the ground. She didn't think twice and cast a spell to the man who is she considers the perpetrator.

Graviga Pulsatio

The man grunted as he was thrown out in the building, he rumbled as his feet met the ground.

Kate quickly drew her attention back to the unconscious man.

"Van, Van!"

He didn't respond, he may be unconscious but his heart is still beating. She sighed in relief.

"Okay, I think we have a big misunderstanding here."

The man who she blows out right now is currently floating and landed.

"Laswell! What the hell are you doing?!" Kate said, with an utter annoyance written on her face.

"Just saw this boy jumping off buildings to buildings. I find it suspicious, so you can guess what's next." Laswell said with no trace of damage from the spell.

"No, he's not. Dammit!"

"Why are you angry all of a sudden?" Laswell asked.

"Because he was the next victim," Kate explained.

"Oh dear, I thought he was the one... Did you finish the job?" Laswell inquired.

"Nope. Clearly, not. If it wasn't for your meddling magician, we might be able to trace the others." A man voice recedes, they turn their attention at the source of the voice but no one's there.

"Doesn't look human to me, neither a vampire nor a werewolf."

Kate shudders as the presence of the man suddenly appears out of nowhere. Laswell is not surprised by his unruly appearances.

He was wearing a mask in a complete tuxedo outfit.

"And there he goes again. What's with the attire?"

"I'm just attending a party when I suddenly I was disturbed by this ambiance." He explained.

"Wow, popping out of nowhere as if the man cares of this town," Kate said.

"Well, I am. This is my birthplace after all. So, why didn't you call me for help?"

"Hello, you are the one who always left without leaving any kind of note for me to track you." Annoyingly Kate said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry 'bout that, but look I'm here, hooray. So, what's the deal with this guy?"

Gilt pulled out his mask, unraveling the gritty hair. He brushes off his hair from covering his haunting dark eyes and under the light of the moon, his nose highlighted, and his chiseled chin. Kate took a deep breath as she altered her gaze away from the dazzling gaze of the man.

"I saw him hopping of roof to roof. Maybe he's supernatural or somehow connected to the mysterious incidents." Laswell explained.

"And you think that he's a vampire?" Gilt asked.

"Well, he has a pale face that looks like yours."

Gilt looks at him. A poker face intended to hide his annoyance.

"Imagine that the scariest monster that you could ever think of suddenly pop out of nowhere and tries to suck out your soul. Do you think you wouldn't go screaming like a little girl if you were in his place?" Kate made a ruffling noise-cleaning herself as if there’s a speck of dust on her clothes.

"Point taken." Gilt concurred.

"But to be sure, I want you to sniff him Gilt," Kate ordered to Gilt.

Again, he blankly stares at her.

"Come on, no pun intended."

Gilt sighed, "I already sniff him, he's not human neither I confirm he's supernatural."

"What d'ya mean?" Laswell asked.

For a moment, Gilt, stares at him for a minute, his eyes fixated as if he's staring onto his soul, he sighs, concluding.

“, I may be wrong, he's like other human beings. Normal. I don't know anything about magic, you guys tell me, you're the magic expert here.”

"Well, we're not gifted with high intellect, so you’ll have to forgive us," Laswell said.

"You're the only one who's an idiot here, Laswell." Kate hisses.

"Shut the fuck up. If he’s a human, what should we do about him, should we dispose of him?" Laswell asked. “I mean after all; he saw that thing.”

"Can I suck his blood, a little bit?"

"No killing and no sucking of blood. We'll take him safely at his home, he's not a threat.”

"Not yet." Gilt added.

"Not yet and obviously will never be, but we don't want blood on our hands, we're not killers. Besides, I’m gonna put a spell so that he wouldn’t remember this night happens.”

"I am." Gilt raised his right hand.

"I swear if you lay a finger on him. I'm gonna break every bone of your body."

Kate warns with pressure on her voice.

"Oohhh, scary." Gilt mockingly said.

"Since there's no kicking ass today, I'm gonna bail. Smell ya later." Laswell farewells as he tarnished a card and seemingly vanished into thin air.

Gilt looks at her, brushing his chin, "There's something changed about you."

"Like what?"

"You're glowing."

"Glowing? No. Glowing is for a pregnant woman.”

“For real?”

“For real. Look, I don't know what kind of crap you're thinking about. But I don't care, I haven't changed." Kate explained, but Gilt could see the deniable side and when he looks at Van.

"Did you sleep with him?" Gilt asked with a smile on his face.

"No! I didn't."

"You didn't? Alright fine, but the way looked at him, I'm sure there is something about it. Has the great Kate Faye Anderson was softened by some human being?"

Annoyed expression written in her face; Gilt stands back knowing this. "Hey, I'm just kidding."

Divisible Parisilto.

Casting the spell, Gilt presence couldn't be seen, nothing, gone in a cloud of thin smoke.

Kate carries Van back at his room, by using her spell Graviga to levitate. When she finally carries Van back to his room, the door suddenly open, it was Tim in a towel.

"Oh god," Tim muttered. "I'm so sorry if I interrupted something between the two you.”

Slowja firesente

Tim's movement stops, Kate looks at his eyes, then whispers. After that, Tim's begun to walk, silently outside of Van's room and back to his bed.

Under the light of the moon, Van is sleeping silently under the comfort of the passing breeze along with the fluttering sounds of the swaying curtain.
