The first time Van heard the supernatural world, he couldn’t believe it at first, but were able to cope with the fact of it as he know he was a part of it. Considering all the crazy things that occurred in this year, it shouldn’t appall him anymore, the fact he had fought an ancient vampire are proof enough this world wasn’t without much more of surprise.

The GEMS are private military build to protect mankind against the supernatural world. They said that these creatures always existed before the dawn of men and even before this world was form. There were speculations these monsters were from different world, but that’s not the case he should be learning. What matters was the rest in surface.

“We felt like you’re not supposed to be part of this,” Melissa said, hesitating to continue, “So, we came to a decision to keep it from you. Being part of the GEMS is a rite of passage.”
