Chapter 9
Three days after she arrived in italy Jade finished the custom made jewelry set designs for the future Italian princess, including an amazing tiara. Mr Famiani was supposed to meet Jade at the restaurant of Hotel de Russie were She has been staying. But last minute the venue of their meeting changed into a more private setting.
Jade slide out of the taxi and stared at the imposing castle just around rome. So she was supposed to meet Mr. Famiani in this castle-like Villa.
She took a deep breath as she rang the doorbell. She straightened her outfit while waiting for the gate to open. There was a distinctive sound heard before the gate automatically opened.
Mr Famiani was already waiting at the entrance with a smile "Good to see you again signorina Rosalie... I'm sorry Jade."
She smiled "Anyone you prefer to call me sir, they are both my names after all. Good to see you again Mr Famiani."
"This way please." He led her into the fabulous castle-like mansion. She was blown away by the grandeur of the mansion inside. Mr Famiani, the private secretary of the king led her to the second floor of the mansion and stopped when they reached a certain door at the far end.
She gripped her hand bag tightly preparing herself for the meeting. She hoped that her designs would meet their expectations so she would be free from the job.
Her eyes widened when she saw an aged man with great physique and few grey hairs standing near the window, looking outside.
Jade's heart gave a thud when the realization of who it could be hit her.
"Signorina Garcia" Mr Famiani started "May i introduce you to King Fredrick Leonetti."
It took every ounce of control for Jade not to hang her mouth open at him. She wasn't expecting to meet the king himself, she doesn't even know what to say. Jade barely heard what Mr Famiani said afterwards because of the loud pounding in her chest.
"Rosalie dear, its nice to finally meet you." The King said.
"Your majesty" Jade curtsied. "it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Leave us" King Fredrick said to his private secretary who left quietly closing the door. "Sit down dear" He gestured towards the Sitting area next to a table.
"You've got an amazing castle sir, i love it. I wish i could get a tour of the building but I'm here strictly for business." She smiled then took out the portfolios of designs from her bag and gave it to the King.
"Your majesty, i-" She was cut off by King Fredrick.
He moved the portfolios back to her without taking a glance at the designs. "Rosalie i trust that your designs are great so i wouldn't want to waste my time checking them. You've got the deal, i want to be wowed when the Jeweleries are delivered to the castle."
"But i think you should still take a look at the designs and-" Jade was cut off by the King again.
"I don't need to check the designs dear. And thanks for your compliment on the building but this isn't a castle, it's just one of the mansions I have here in Rome." King Fredrick said.
She was short of words "Really???.. Wow..thats-thats amazing." she stuttered
"Since you want a tour of my castle how about i send one of my chauffeurs to pick you up tomorrow night for dinner at the castle, my lovely wife would be pleased to meet you."
"Your majesty you really don't have to." Jade said
"Wouldn't it be rude to reject a request from the King especially when he insists?"
"Alright, I'd love to join you for dinner tomorrow night."
"King Fredrick i really appreciate the opportunity you have given me to tour your amazing castle tomorrow." Jade said.
"My dear, amazing wouldn't be the word you'd use when you see my Castle. Besides,you really don't have a choice than to honour my invitation because I'd be signing the deal after the dinner."
Jade chuckled "Alright, I'd love to take my leave now, it was a pleasure meeting you King Fredrick."
"Join me for lunch dear." King Fredrick requested.

When she stepped out of the limo sent to pick her up by the King, she saw Mr Famiani standing at the entrance waiting to welcome her.
"Welcome Signorina Rosalie, Nice to see you again."
"Nice to see you again Mr Famiani." He gestured for her to come inside.
"Please come in." As Jade walked into the intimidating room she was wowed. As expected the interior of the palace was as grand as the outside with high ceilings, huge chandeliers and walls painted with white and gold detailing, and there is this grand double staircase connecting to the second floor.

Back in spain her home was one of the biggest mansions but its nothing compared to this huge castle.
Mr Famiani led her to the grand staircase, she forced her legs to carry her even further into the imposing home. Jade had the chance to study the paintings and portraits hanging on the wall with glided frames.
Finally they arrived at their destination, she was currently standing in front of a large golden door.
Mr Famiani pushed the door open and gestured for her to go in.
"Thank you." She said to him.
"You look lovely in that dress Signorina." With that he turned to leave.
Jade was wearing a silver gown accentuated with sparkling Russian diamonds.
Thanks to her sister Amethyst who got her an appointment with a boutique here in italy. She really wasn't prepared for dinners, she only came to Italy with formal clothes.
She walked in and admired the view, the hall was so grand with huge chandeliers, gold pillars and arches, bright red carpet and so much more.
The golden rectangular twenty seater dinning table placed in the middle of the room was decorated with white candles and red roses. Shiny porcelain wares, crystal champagne flute glasses and golden utensils were also placed neatly on the table.
She enjoyed having dinner at the palace.
