"Hmmm… Shall I apply for a sabbatical leave from work? Maybe take a few years off work?" Mom says.

A 'leave' I get, but a 'sabbatical'? What's that? From what she said, it seems like a years-long break.

"Oh… My love… Agew can take care of himself, can't you son?" Dad says.

I can.

"We'll still see him every day." He adds.

"Honey. I know Agew can take care of himself. He's self-sufficient." Mom says.

I do keep things clean and neat. I can't cook though. Meh, I'll just skip lunch.

"Oh. Okay. But you're not taking a long break without a good reason, no?" Dad asks.

"Yes. But it's more for a selfish reason." Mom says.

"Oh?" Dad is curious at mom's words, and so am I.

If she takes a break, then that means she'll be around me all the time. That's gonna be rough.
