4 Chapter 3

"this may hurt a little" he said as he put his hand on my forehead.

suddenly I was in complete blackness. I couldn't see outside my head like I could before but here I could walk I could move, I had.... control "Arianna" a voice said behind me and I turned to see a tall pale skinned man with blonde hair and blue eyes. "who are you?" I asked "I'm Thomas" he said "and Im here to help" he continued.

"you can't help me... nobody can" I replied "it's a prison it's torture I couldn't move I couldn't speak all I could do was think" I told him "the things I did...." I said as I fell to my knees in the infinite darkness as tears filled my eyes.

"none of that was your fault" he said as he knelt down to my level "but the only way to get your control back... is for you to walk down memory lane" he said "no I can't" I said looking up at him "you have to it's the only way" he said seriously "fine" I said reluctantly.

suddenly the black void we were in became a memory from 4 and a half years ago approximately 6 months after.

"you will listen to what I have to say" my uncle yelled at me "nooo" I yelled back "stop" I said turning away from the memory "you have to watch" Thomas said almost emotionless. "stop this now" I said beginning to get annoyed "you have to watch" he said again "I SAID STOP!" I yelled turning to him and everything went back to being a black void. "I refuse to live through this again" I said "there is another way, I know there is" I said then turned to walk away. "no there isn't" he said.

"you wanna bet" I said turning back to him "for 5 years I was controlled yet here I am on the brink of being free and you want to tell me that the only way out is through hell again" I said taking a step closer to him "Well guess what... I am DONE being controlled by people and I am DONE letting other people control my fate, I WILL FIND MY OWN WAY OUT OF MY MIND WITHOUT YOUR HELP?" I argued.

"so get out" I finished and suddenly he disappeared "now it's your turn" I said turning around to see me

Maria's Pov

"what's going on what's happening" I said as the room felt almost like the inside of a tornado, "I don't know something must have gone wrong" Ariana's father replied "huuuuuu" Thomas's voice rang out gasping for air as he fell to the ground "Thomas what's going on?" I ask running over to him "she kicked me out" he said "what do you mean she kicked you out?" I asked in a yell. "refuse to go through with it she said she was going to find another way" Thomas tried to explain "you have to go back in" I told him "I can't" he said "what do you mean you can't that's your power" Ariana's father asked walking over to him while trying not to get blown away as the wind only grew stronger.

"she kicked me out of her mind I can't go back in unless she allows me to in a way she's in control now at least of her mind not her body not yet anyway" Thomas replied "did she say with the other way was?" I asked quickly "Maria there is no other way this was the only way and she refused it" he said. "there has to be" I said falling to my knees just trying to think.

she was important to me all this time I didn't know what had happened to her even her father didn't know for all anyone knew she was dead, experimented on, or worse. she was my best friend, and I didn't want to lose her again.

"you said you can't go in right? can you send someone else in?" I asked unsure"I don't know" he replied "I've never tried" he continued "try" I said holding out my hand

ARIANA'S POV

"now it's your turn" I said turning around to see me. "you can't beat me I'm the only half of us that can control our power" the other me... the controlled me said. "I've had it with being controlled" I said "and I'm done letting you win" I continued "and you may have control, but I have power" I said as wind began to blow around me.

"ARIANNA!" I heard a familiar voice yell from behind me "Maria?" I said turning around "what the hell are you doing here?" I asked "I'm here to get you out of here" she said attempting to walk through the powerful gusts of wind "you have to leave" I said the only way for me out is to kill her and I'm not sure what will happen if I do" I said as she finally reached me. "I'm not leaving you not again" she said "you have to" I replied "AND WHAT IF SHE KILLS YOU?" she yelled "she can't, I'm the original she's just a copy, without me she dies either way" I said "so please go" I continued.

"don't lose" she said hugging me "have I ever" I said hugging her back "now go" I said release her from the hug them she disappeared.

i turned around and as I did I was suddenly punched in the face then fell to the floor, I looked up at myself as I held my cheek then quickly stood up, I punched her she kicked me back as the fight went on we were equals but I didn't intend to lose, suddenly she grabbed me by my hair and threw me to the ground then began to hit my head off the ground repeatedly. she stopped for a second holding up my head "still wanna lose" she said with a smile.

MARIA'S POV

I opened my eyes as wind continued to blow around us. "she's fighting" I said "fighting who?" her father asked "herself" I replied turning to him. "who's winning?" Thomas asked. "I don't know" I said looking down at her when suddenly the wind stopped. "what's going on?" Thomas asked "good question" I replied. it took a moment but suddenly Arianna's eyes opened and she gasped for air.

"ARIANNA!" her dad said running to her bedside.
