Chapter 42: The beginning of a new semester ll

Akira and Mashiro arrive at the school without delay and head to the arena where he displays the names of the students and their classes.

"What a crowd" - muttered Akira upon seeing the students swarming like ants on sugar.

"It seems troublesome to break into this crowd," Akira said, as he released a King's Aura into the crowd.

Akira only released a little bit of his aura so it only happened that the students made way for him to pass.

Akira walked up to the front of the painting and searched for his name and a few more.

Akira finds that he's in class B-1 with Mashiro and a few other familiar names from his past and present life.

Upon seeing his class, Akira ignored the whispering crowd, looked at the mini map next to the board, and walked out of the crowd towards his class.

After Akira left the crowd, he regained his aura, which increased the crowd's chatter about his identity.

Akira paid no heed to their gossip and headed to the gym with Mashiro.

Although Akira didn't want to, he had to attend the school's welcome party.

Fortunately, there was no study on the first day. Students only received textbooks and went around to see the clubs.

Akira entered the gym and sat with Mashiro in a place hidden from view, closed his eyes and fell asleep with Mashiro.

Akira was very sleepy so it didn't take much time and he fell asleep despite the noise next to him.

Akira and Mashiro slept peacefully, not caring about their surroundings or the people who looked at them strangely.

"Good morning, Yui," said Akira, rubbing his eyes after waking up.

"Good morning," Yui replied, not scolding Akira for sleeping in a place like that because she knew he hadn't been getting enough sleep for a while. "It's time to go to classes."

"Okay." Akira nodded and got up, waking Mashiro, who got up without much complaint.

Akira had to admit that although it was uncomfortable sleeping in the chair, he felt energized after sleeping again.

Akira, Mashiro, and Yui walked together because they were in the same class. Akira and Yui spoke while Mashiro silently listened.

"I didn't expect us to be in the same class," Yue Zhong said, unable to hide her happiness.

"Looks like this chapter was made for my acquaintances" - Akira grumbled when recalling the class list he saw earlier and asked if it was his luck.

"That's right." Yui Yue couldn't help but agree upon hearing Akira's grumble.

Akira and the two girls walked into class B-1. The class was empty. It seemed like the students hadn't arrived yet.

They entered and Akira walked to the protagonist's residence and sat down, Mashiro sat in the seat in front of him and Yui sat in the seat next to Akira.

Sitting down, Akira looked back with a slight smile and spoke - "It's been a long time, Megumi."

In front of Akira was a beautiful girl with shoulder-length straight chestnut brown hair, dark brown eyes, and milky white skin, and she had a subdued presence.

"It's been a while Akira" - Megumi replied in a flat tone but she was inwardly surprised how Akira noticed her.

True, this was none other than the light shadow Kato Megumi.

Akira met Megumi when he was 8 years old when he was reading a book in the backyard and saw Megumi appearing and disappearing like a ghost and the young Akira named Megumi Miss Ghost.
