3 Chapter 3: Everyone's History

"What gives you the courage to displease me?"

"...What?"

"I already know the answer, I just need to hear it from you so we can proceed… properly."

"The fuck? Look at this bitch."

Aaron let out an amused laugh as he pointed at Dante, and of course, his friends did the same as they truly seemed entertained with the way Dante was acting.

"I thought I was hallucinating it earlier, but this bitch really is suddenly all fluent all of sudden. Don't fucking tell me your Italian shit's all fake?"

"Yeah, fuck this guy. He was just 'It's a-me, Dante!' just yesterday! This fucker's a fake!"

"Ah, of course," and while Aaron and his friends continue to mock him, the amused look on Dante's did not wither away at all, "I do not really remember much about my life before this day. Yesterday was…

…an eternity ago."

"What the fuck is this bitch even on about?" Aaron once again pointed at Dante as he looked at his friends, "Let me remind you who you are, then…

…You're a fucking nobody. You're flexing that you're a part of the Liberato Family? You're just the son of a fucking whore. Crying for daddy's attention every single day, but your dad doesn't even know you fucking exist."

"Thank you for reminding me, Aaron," Dante's memories started to arrange themselves in his mind.

Organizations, gangs, and syndicates hold much power in the world. 74 years ago, when the Scorps descended from the expanse of space and almost laid waste to parts of the world, something came along with them.

A rock. Meteorites.

At first, everyone thought of them as just debris. After all, the world was thrown into war against these space monsters, most of the people were busy trying to either survive or find a way to kill them.

But while the world was in chaos, some people saw this as an opportunity — one specific type of organization from Russia, the Bratva — even more specifically, a small previously unknown group of misfits, barely even a gang.

They gathered all the meteorites that landed close to their base, thinking it would bring their group to the upper echelon of the criminal world. And it did, but not the way they thought it would.

Most of the meteorites were just that, space rocks with no real monetary value, just historical. Their efforts were useless.

Who had time to buy space rocks when the world was at war? And so, this band of youths just decided to pack it up and hide like the rest of the world…

…until one of their members, their youngest, accidentally swallowed one of these space rocks.

How it happened or why it happened in the first place, was completely unknown to the world—and everyone knew this story; because this story is the story of the first superhuman of the world, the Father of the Magistones, Mikhail Volkov.

The rumors of Mikhail's strength quickly scattered like wildfire throughout the streets of Russia, with him being at the forefront of the war against the Scorps.

Sadly for the government, however, Mikhail and his gang just used this chance to promote the Magistones and started distributing it to other dubious organizations.

The government was able to stop them, of course, but it was already too late.

Russian bratva, Italian mafias, Chinese triads, Korean murim, American gangs, the Japanese yakuzas… the magistones were already widespread throughout the entire world.

These dubious organizations, for a moment in history, became the defenders of humanity for a brief period of time… with a price, that is.

It wasn't until the World Government was formed, when the invasion weakened, that they were able to stop the distribution of the magistones to the public, even going to war against the syndicates.

A war for Justice, as they said.

For the rest of the public, however, the World Government was just the biggest syndicate of them all.

The sole mastermind of all of these, Mikhail Volkov, was caught and placed in a prison for superhumans. Who, as Mr. Hudson discussed earlier, presumably died of old age inside a cage.

Mikhail wasn't just a criminal, or the Father of Magistones—no. He was considered to be the Father of the New Era.

"Maybe you need more reminding, you fucking bitch!"

And while Dante was lost in thought, he was forcefully taken out of his stupor as Aaron suddenly grabbed his already slightly messy hair.

"I'm part of the gang that handles this area," Aaron pulled Dante's head back as he leaned closer to him.

"The Aryan Bloods," Dante, on the other hand, was still completely calm as he looked at Aaron's golden hair.

"That's fucking right," Aaron smiled, "And you missed this week's protection money. Do I also need to fucking remind you of what will happen if I mentioned to my brothers and sisters that a fucking wop is living in the neighborhood?"

"Hm. That would be bad, no?" Dante squinted his eyes as he returned Aaron's cackling glare.

"You're fucked. Your body will be in a million pieces where no one will find them. But then again, no one will even notice you're missing."

"That's true," Dante nodded even with his hair being pulled back, "But it is also true that outside of your gang, you are just a normal human like the rest."

"The fuck are you still going on about?"

"Your family, your father — all of them are just normal," Dante breathed out, "As for me, take me outside of the Liberato family, well…

…I am still unfairly rich."

"Pft," Aaron and his friends all started bursting out in laughter as they heard Dante's words, "Why do you think we made you our piggy bank in the first place? Just give us the fucking money and—"

And before Aaron could finish his words, a quiet but sharp whisper snapped in the air as Dante clicked his fingers, further getting everyone's attention.

"What… the fuck are you doing?" Aaron looked at Dante's hand, "Have you really gone full retard on us?"

"No," Dante shook his head, "I am just making you realize how fast it would be for me to buy the company your father is working for."

"Wh—"

And once again, before Aaron could say his words, Dante once again clicked his fingers,

"And I just had your father fired," Dante whispered, before once again snapping his fingers, "Your sister and your mother—No. Forgive me…

…I forgot that your mother already left you and your father to copulate with another man."
