4 New system function

"This child… He doesn't have an ounce of qi running through his veins" Sir immortal sat there in a daze as he inwardly thought to himself.

"What a pity, to think I was mistaken, here I thought this child was a rare talent, but his temperament is still unique, it won't be a bad idea to recruit him. He could easily be an average worker, the sect was currently in a major decline, thus we have a shortage of staff"

As Sir immortal sat up after a brief daze, the village elder and chief let out a sigh of relief. They had thought something untoward had happened.

"Hehe, you had us scared for a minute Sir" The two spoke as they laughed nervously.

Sir immortal looked at them and snorted, but what came out of his mouth was equally as shocking.

" This child, ill be taking him with me"

The two, elder and chief looked at each other briefly then quickly replied to Sir immortal " But Sir, even though he's young he's still a capable worker for the village, what could someone with no talent be of use to you?"

"That's none of your business, you just focus on gathering resources, or ill flatten this place you call home!"

The two had a dejected look but nonetheless agreed, what was one worker to them? What they said to the Immortal was just for show, they just didn't want to look like pushovers.

Itachi was of course privy to what they were saying, like always, he was a carefree person, he went with the flow, if this man wanted to do him harm he would have already done so. He wasn't worried about being taken away.

Sir immortal said a few more words then stood up " Child, what's your name? "

"Ita- I mean Lin Feng"

Itachi was still getting used to his new name. Not to mention the language here was different, however, due to the previous owner's memories, he was able to understand the new language.

" Good name, iv decided to take you to my sect, do you have any objections? "

"No" Itachi replied.

" Good, pack your stuff, we will be leaving in 2 hours, ill be waiting at the village gates "

Itachi swiftly left without batting an eye at the elder and chief.

Itachi quickly walked back to his house with excited steps, this was the first time he was this excited in a long time.

" A sect huh, interesting "

Itachi arrived at his house and was about to pack his stuff, he then realized he had nothing to pack. The previous body's owner was a very poor child, he was an orphan, and he had no one to look after him except himself. This shabby house was the only thing left behind by his parents.

Meanwhile at the village gates…

Sir immortal was waiting by the gates, there was a large carriage, in front were 2 horses, attached to the carriage. It looked rather majestic, the horses were very large. The carriage was also pretty clean-looking.

In the distance a lone figure could be seen walking towards the village gates, his clothes were worn out and had rips in them, he looked in a very sorry state. As Itachi walked he noticed the multiple villagers looking at him from the sidelines, it was unknown what they were thinking.

" Child, you arrived rather quickly, where is your stuff? Have you not packed any clothing? "Sir immortal said, Itachi nearly arrived 2 hours earlier than the scheduled time.

" No Sir, I had nothing to pack so I came here as quickly as I could, " Itachi said as he glanced at Sir immortal.

Sir Immortal looked at him meaningfully, his expression was one of pity.

Itachi naturally could discern what the man in front of him was thinking, but he paid it no mind.

" Good, we will now be leaving, the journey will be long and tiring, go ahead and get yourself situated, there's a bunch of other kids in the carriage, get to know them, they are your future peers, although you have come from different places, you will all be joining the same sect"

" I forgot to mention, my name is Lee Mu Bai, however, you can call me Elder Lee "

Itachi cupped his fists at Elder Lee then said " understood "

Elder lee then walked in front of the carriage and sat in the driver's seat, Itachi entered from the door in the back of the carriage.

As he entered, the carriage had already started to move, Itachi looked behind him one last time, as the village he once stayed in grew distant.

When he turned around he saw a dozen kids that were roughly the same age as him, they were seated in rows opposite each other. They all looked out of place, none were talking to each other. It seemed as though they were unsure of what might happen to them. Worry could be seen on a few of their faces.

" Hehe brother, come come, sit next to me, you're a newcomer, its only natural I treat you right "

A chubby boy roughly aged 6 was seated at the edge of the long stall, he was welcoming Itachi to sit next to him.

Itachi looked at him and said " sure "

The only issue was, that this kid was taking up too much space! His large frame was abnormal for a little kid his age. Itachi squeezed in next to him and finally managed to take a seat.

" Brother, what's your name?" Before Itachi could reply the boy said " My names Bai xiao Chun, pleasure to meet you "

Itachi looked at him in amazement then said " my names Lin Feng, likewise"

Bai xiao Chun patted Itachi's shoulder then proceeded to take out some meat jerky out of his bag and chomped on it like there was no tomorrow.

Itachi lost interest and stared at the carriage wall a few steps in front of him, as he was lost in thought he suddenly remembered the system, with a thought he summoned the system and took a look at the dashboard.

[ Ding! System has been activated for a day, you have unlocked a hidden function, you can now look at anyone's stats, stats will include information about the person, please look at a target and say ' Reveal ']

Itachi looked at the message and was instantly intrigued, can such an ability really exist? A tool like this could've helped him greatly back when he was Anbu Captain.

Itachi wanted to try out this new function so he used it on the few kids around him, he was greeted with a dashboard of information. It included their names and realms, where they are from, and all sorts of info.

He then glanced at the driver's seat, he looked at Lee Mu Bai and said inwardly ' reveal '

"Huh? Extremely dangerous?" Itachi looked at the status and a surprised expression could be seen on his face…

This was not good … Why would the System warn him about this person? Itachi began to doubt his decision of joining Lee Mu Bai, something fishy was going on!
