40 Chapter 40

"You have decided to make yourself a spy, then?" Akainu asked with an indifferent look. 

"Yes, that is so." Orochimaru replied with a near serious expression on his face. 

"Don't go on betraying us."

"Trust me, I won't."

"I will believe you for now."

Akainu turned back and jumped over to his ship. Orochimaru just smiled at him. The second part of his plan was just starting. 

The Marine ship sailed. However, Orochimaru's ship didn't move. There was something he still needed to do first. 

After about ten minutes of sky gazing, he called out, "You can come out now. There is no point in keeping you hidden on my ship, Charlotte Daifuku."

A very tall man with blonde shaved hair come from the ship's cabin. 

"It seems your words weren't lies." Daifuku said with a grimace on his face. Whether he was in pain, or not was not known. 

Orochimaru turned around and showed a sly smile, "I am sure you have already confirmed my worth."

The tall man nodded. Orochimaru's skills were good, "Yes. This ability of your to hide one's presence is fascinating."

'That is just a sealing justu from the Uzumaki Clan. I still can't believe it fooled someone like Akainu.'

Orochimaru had approached the Big Mom Pirates. To prove his worth, he offered to act as a spy in the Marines. The one who took care of the Pirates he handed to the Navy was actually Daifuku himself. 

He couldn't help but smile at how his plans were working out, "Since I proved my worth can I meet Big Mom, now. I am sure she will be moved to see an ancient race like me."

His recollection of his parents of this world was printed in his mind, and what he said is true. He indeed has an ancient bloodline in his veins. 

Daifuku scanned the snake man before him. He couldn't judge his character, but he could tell that he was full of mystery. 

"I will hand you to big brother Perospero first. He will decide what to do with you. Since you are already our spy in the Marines, I am sure he will treat you nicely. 

"Every well. I can wait."

The small ship started to move towards Whole Cake Island. It was still noon. Orochimaru had the whole time to practice his haki, he still couldn't armor out of it like Gorp. 

Morning arrived, and the ship arrived at Cocoa Island. They wouldn't let this snake meet up up with their mother at the moment. If he fought her, he would lose, but that wasn't the problem. 

"What do you plan to do once you join us?" Katakuri asked, as he crossed his legs. 

The possibility of one of his siblings being sold of to Orochimaru was there. He knew his mother would take interest in him. His devil fruit to hide a person's presence was just the cherry on top. 

Orichimaru's golden pupils scanned the room he was in. He could tell that Big Mom really loved sweet things, as the rumors say. 

He said, "I am a researcher. If I take interest in something, I research it, until I know everything. Telling the truth, I am quite interested in finding the One Piece. Putting my knowledge into use, I will help Big Mom be the next King of the Pirates. 

He paused and observe the siblings siting in front of him, "I did consider joining the White Beard Pirates, but since he is about to die, I saw no need."

"What!?" Charlotte Oven exclaimed, "What do you mean by that!?"

Smoothie and Daifuku had the same reaction. Only Katakuri remained nonchalant to this information. He same expected White Beard to be the first to die among the Emperors. 

He states, "Explain yourself."

Orochimaru smiles. He tried hard not to freak everyone by his overjoyed state, 

"Intel says that White Bed is staying on his hospital bed almost every day. The old man is living with medical strings attached to him. And, he is looking for someone to inherit his crew. However....."

At Orichimaru's long pause, made everyone stare at him with curiosity in their eyes. This reaction made him laugh in his mind. 

... That's how you should act. 

"However, the person is in the son of the former King of the Pirates and is also in the hands of the Marines, waiting to be executed at a later date."

Perospero was moved by Orochimaru. He hadn't said a thing and kept on licking his candy. However, deep down he was moved. How many pirates managed to work as Marines and found out about Roger's son? Basically none. 

He nodded, "Peroli, I will take you to mama."

"I agree with big brother." Katakuri stated warning off his siblings. 

Orichimaru was already their spy, it wouldn't be a worst to dispose of him, when he put in so much effort. 

He glared at him, "But, if you try anything funny. I will kill you."

"I still love my love, there is no way I would do something so foolish."

It is the truth. Orochimaru knows how dangerous this so-called Emperors of the sea are. He even challenged one a few weeks ago and suffered a defeat, far worse than he got from Pain. 

The siblings took the snake man to their mother, but her reaction wasn't the one they expected. 

"Mamamama! You are from an ancient clan?! That settles it! You are my next husband!"

... This wasn't supposed to happen.
