CHAPTER 46

"Some people search their whole lives to find what I found in you..." His smile was like lightning in the darkness, blinding and beautiful and mysterious, and I wanted him so badly it was physically painful.

I looked at his face from every angle and pulled his face to mine, pecking his cheek. A crisp camera sound echoed and I turned to see a few photographers taking pictures.

"Shall we??" he asked offering me his hand.

"Sure...." I agreed and we walked towards the table.

We had a few other celebrities sitting with us at our table and I suspected it was because of Griffin. All these people must've paid a huge some of money just to sit next to him. That must've been a beautiful thing for him.

I looked at my right and saw a beautiful woman. Her name tag said Kristin Tice Studeman. I remembered she was an NYC-based food and wine writer and the founder of the rosé-paired dinners series. Self made woman.

Before I could look away, she turned to me and we shared a moment for greetings.

"Good evening Eleanor...." she smiled. "It's good to see you, am very fortunate to have my seat next to you"

"Oh...the pleasure is mine..." I smiled back.

We exchanged a few words right before dinner got served and I narrowed my eyes at what was on the plate.

Keeping in mind that the place was filled with a lot of different people with their own community influence, a food coupon was placed on each seat and everyone would be given a particular kind of meal. I loved that it was secretive and you'd get a surprise meal plus it was better on the variety.

It was unfortunately that I didn't get what I wanted. I doubt they hardly served pasta over here.

"Nothing says fine dining quite like fresh lobster ...." Kristin screeched and I was confused wondering if she was pleased or saddened.

I looked at my plate and a colorful fruit bar; Mixed green salad with a raspberry-infused vinaigrette, smiled back at me. I licked my lips and turned to Adam. He had deconstructed bruschetta, and mini shrimp salad rolls.

I knew how much he hated shrimp but this was my very own chance to get even with him. He fed me macaroni salad on our last date and this was a very good comeback. I saw the gruesome face he made and I covered my lips and laughed.

I looked at Ciara and Griffin but they hardly noticed the signature Drinks: Bellinis ; Raspberry coolers, champagne and raspberry sorbet, Mint Juleps and many more. This was such an elegant appetiser and all they seemed to want to eat was eachother. The stares they were exchanging were enough evidence.

Anywho, we had dinner and the rest of the night was just as amazing.

I hadn't been to a wedding recently and I owed it to Ciara for bringing me here.

We had such a fun time and allowed us guests to mingle, enjoy cocktails and of course not forgetting canapes. We got the chance to catch up and get to know one another.

Knowing someone through the media and through a personal talk was surely different.

I learnt to embrace Grace and respect from the various people I met here. They were all elegantly designed and furnished with virtue.

Kelly and Sven were very fortunate.

I guess it wasn't so bad to be born rich after all.

The rehearsal dinner focused on reminiscing about the bride's and groom's past. Kelly's mother, the very own princess, was the one who narrated the story. It was funny, sweet and teary in many ways. The story wasn't very different from that of Paris and Helen of Sparta.

Her beauty inspired artists of all times to represent her, frequently as the personification of ideal human beauty. In the same way Kelly's beauty inspired Sven and he did not only seek an audience with the king but declared his love for his daughter right there and then.

He was thrown into the dungeon for a month after being affirmed as an obsessed stalker and a threat to their daughter but was later pardoned after Kelly announced that she equally loved him.

Two year, they were given an ultimatum. Sven had to prove himself capable for Kelly's hand and help her be the woman she could be outside her house. Then, he could marry her.

Through it all, I understood that love does conquer all. Sven and Kelly managed to get through all the difficulties together and in the end, here they were sharing their love with others.

They publicised their relationship and got to be one of the most influential couples worldwide.

"Having Sven by my side was more like having the whole world with me. He supported me through thick and thin and I couldn't ask for more...." Kelly smiled as she spoke through the microphone standing next to her mother.

Sven walked over to them and the cosmic connection between them was so evident. Everything was so colourful than the rainbow, with a blast of different colours. It wasn't just in the way they looked together but even the way they looked at each other.

Everything about them was more than just a dreamy reality. It was more than truth would support.

"As Jane Austen already put it, It is a truth universally known that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife" Sven finished his speech with such elegant words and for the final touch, bent down and pecked his wife to be's hand.

We clapped for them as they went to take a seat.

I could see not only myself but a few more ladies wiping off years from their eyes.

Such love was the greatest of them all. It's a combination of the pain, excitement, passion and utmost devotion all at once.

"Are you alright??" Adam asked and I laughed it off, while nodding.

"Yeah...am fine....fine..." I smiled. He took a tissue and handed it over to me.

I laughed and received it. We had a little chat for the next ten minutes until the dance floor was then opened for a dance.

A slow romanic jam was playing in the background making the ambience all magical and unearthly. The romance in the air and everything made me fall in love again with the man that offered me a dance.

Later that night, Adam and I left for Peru.
