1 Prologue

Manhattan City, Sanchess Co.

Gabrielle had received an emergency call from her Dad and was on her way from School to his office. The hectic and busy traffic of Manhattan was definitely inevitable.

Thirty minutes after her dad's call she eventually arrived at the company. She proceeded on entering the building; she then took the elevator to the 20th floor and was met by her dad's secretary. She always thought he was a guy.

"Hello Miss Sanchess." Said Daryl with a pitiful look. He looked quite strange. She noticed.

"Hi Daryl,urmm... I am here to see my d– Mr Sanchess."

"Oh right, I will let him know you are here." She always forgets her dad was Mr Sanchess at work and dad at home. She really saw no big deal but oh well.

"Go ahead Ms Sanchess he is expecting you."

"Thank you Daryl."

Daryl just nodded which was totally different from his cheery self. He was definitely out of the usual today. Gabrielle brushed of this thought and knocked on her dad's thick office door. She was first greeted with a tensed and cold atmosphere. Cold from the AC and tensed with everyone's sad faces as they saw her. Everyone looked rather atypical today. Her mom, dad and Mr. Martinez her dad's right hand all stood and looked sad.

"Hello mom, hello dad." She greeted her dad and mom. They acknowledge her greetings with gentle nods .

"Mr Martinez," and shook his hands.

"Gabrielle darling,I hope you will find it one day in you heart to forgive me. I called you here to announce to you a very critical and serious news that will certainly change your life. I–"

Gabrielle upon hearing this quickly tensed and waited for her dad to carry on.

"Martin don't–"pleaded Celia.

" I have to ,she will soon or later find out. Celia it is now or never."

"Please reconsider."

"Gabrielle you will have to marry Lucas Sandoval of SA. company."

Martin stated as if his wife had not just spoken.

Gabrielle only stood there glued to the floor. With nothing to say, because she sure as hell knew she heard wrong.
