"That last time, last summer." the low barintone voice boomed warmly in the ears of the little girl who was full of surprises. At 10 years old, the adult form of the child named Vallaye ashlley, she wanted to be like her older sister who became an adult and lived a simple life and worked.

Morgan, the brother who is now fully responsible for his sister who is still in the orphanage. Morgan would visit at the end of each month during the holidays or when the royal family was on an out-of-town visit. It was erratic, it could be the beginning of the month, or the weekend. But Morgan the older brother always made time to see his dear sister.

"I promise you, when you are more independent I will take you to the palace in Senataria where I work." Ruffling her sister's hair with a smile. Stuffing candy into his shirt pocket, unnoticed.

"At the royal castle." She squealed happily, her eyes twinkling, her tiny feet began to run around her brother's body for a few laps with small steps. Then laughed happily. Morgan nodded. "Yeah, I'll tell the monks, because they always tease me by saying I dream too much." The voice sounded happy, but the meaning of the girl's words made it clear that she was not comfortable in this place and was always teased.

"Just be patient a little longer, maybe when you're fifteen." Morgan stood tall, his towering body making the petite girl look up.

Too happy, while talking to her brother. Before then staring at her with a flat face, and the look in her eyes was not as warm as when talking to Morgan. Her small mouth continued to pray that she would turn fifteen soon, which was five years away. Still wondering why she had to be 15? When it came to being independent, Valeye was a diligent girl, such as washing clothes, helping the monks cook, and even working to complete some tasks that were not her responsibility.

I don't know what kind of independence her brother was referring to!

When he turned around, a small child with a hidden body was staring at him. Valeye smiled and approached him. "Is he the god you always talk about?" the child asked in an expectant voice. Valeye smiled and matched their height. "Does he look like this?" He stared into those beady eyes, hoping for a positive answer from the little boy.

The child nodded as he continued to stare at the departing god. Valeye smiled sweetly. He could feel how warm this child was. "Can you share the blessing he gave?" The child said expectantly, but Valeye did not understand. Until the child put his hand into Valeye's shirt pocket, which contained candy.

Of course, he was surprised because he hadn't noticed when his brother had given it to him. With her tiny hands, she grasped the candy until it was full and stretched out from the sides of her fingers, then she gave it to the boy who was smaller than her. Are you happy?" She asked and he nodded.

"I'll put it here." There was a pocket inside the girl's doll. Valye's smile widened even more. "You really took good care of it, I didn't make a mistake giving it to you." Valye whispered until they were laughing at each other. They had to go inside soon, it was getting dark and it would be dangerous for them.

Valeye was by the fireplace, burning wood to warm them from the cold. "Even though winter is coming soon, it's already very cold. Cold to the bone. " A monk said hurriedly. His face was slightly wrinkled, was it because of the heat that greeted his skin? It was probably true.

He continued to help, adding wood to the fireplace until the chimney was filled with black smoke. "You have helped me, now go and pray with your comrades." The monk's words were an order. Valeye stood up immediately, before dusting off her clothes, which were full of dust that had stuck to them. Her tiny feet stepped out immediately.

She joined the back row and began to pray. She closed her eyes and her lips moved constantly. As if she was mingling with the heat coming out to provide warmth, behind the tiny lips praying earnestly, confidently hoping that the power would grant her request.

"God take me soon, away from this place. That I may know how vast your world is. Make me be with Morgan sheikhlaret, my brother." Her hope was filled with sincere faith.

Then her eyes opened wide, the corners of them filled with clear water, the glass of the eyeballs seemed to illustrate how high the hope in her prayer was.

One of them shook her from the elbow of her hand until she felt and turned around. The two girls' gazes met. That look seemed to say. "This is just a nightly routine, don't expect more." She threatened with a glint in her eye. Still sparkling but it could be said to be mocking in silence. "There's no need to get your hopes up, it's just a sleeping prayer and a camouflaged wish of the monastery especially aunt Zen." She whispered in a low voice.

"I still have to pray, and I believe in my prayers." Valeye said in reply. The slurred voice greeting the adult ears made the two of them get a sharp glare from the towering body. The monastery stared as if the two could be devoured whole.

Silent with the sound of rustling voices.

What made the little boy wish to leave the place that gave him so many friends?

After praying solemnly, all the children stepped into their respective rooms. No need for the drama of sleeping, both tiny eyes closed, the moonlight illuminated from the unavoidable gap in the window.

"Hey." He called in a whispered voice. "Hey." again until Valeye glanced at her. The look in his eyes seemed to permit him to speak. "You prayed earlier, why pray again, do you really believe in gods?" His body even turned around waiting for Valaye's answer.

Valeye displayed a smile without speaking. Not getting an answer the girl again closed her eyes in disappointment, turning her back on Valaye's body position.

"If gods or whatever really exist, I just want to forget that nightmare." She said confidently with all her heart. Falling into sleep, diving into the sea of dreams that had happened. It was a memory that still haunted the girl with bitter reality. She hated that dream, but it was her most precious memory.
