Chapter 4- Nice time to run isn't it?

"We believe that the former serial killer coded "The Bogey Man" is back for his rampage. Multiple witnesses have testified about their sightings on the bogey man. Three other witnesses have been confirmed to be assaulted and are lucky enough to be alive…"

"Oh, it seems there has a madman is out. Need to be careful this day, you will never know who you meet"

As I watched the news I saw a person I recognise, it's the clerk from that store. Hmm, he's crying and complaining about the bogeyman. Oh, the other witness is someone I know as well, it's the policeman. He is talking about what happened in that alleyway…wait a minute?! I dropped my beer in my hand. Isn't this news about me?!

I kept on watching the news and I heard the random stuff people said. One said I am a 7-foot tall man without eyes and I had sharp teeth. Another described me as a man in a coat covered in blood holding an axe and wearing a hockey mask. And many others just made me into a horror film. Only the first three knew what I looked like. I knew that the clerk for this motel will call the cops on me so I went for one more beer since I dropped my last and tried to absorb it but it did not work so I drank it quickly. I wore my mask and jacket hoody from [Designer] and walked to the door.

"This is the police open the door!"

Shit, they are here early! I went to the curtains and shifted them a bit. I can see three policemen in their blue shirts and all, then one looked at me which led me to quickly close the curtain.

"This is the police! Do not spy on us, please cooperate and open the door!"

Ya, I am not doing that.

"Open the door, you have 5 seconds to open the door before we break it down!"

Shh, I am trying to think! Wait 5 seconds?!

"5"

They are counting already?

"4"

Wait wait wait calm down I am not done thinking!

"3"

How do I escape?! I don't want to kill them!

"This is officer stein requesting backup. 2"

Okay, I am going to bust through the door then!

As soon as he said that I busted the door with my leg and grab the first person next to me and punched him. I turned and I saw a gun at my face though I dodged it before he could shoot then I punched him in the gut.

Two down one more to go. Out of nowhere, I felt something enter my back and then I heard the bang. I turned and I saw the last cop looking at me, shaking a bit then he shot at me again. All I felt is the feeling of something entering my body again. I ran towards him which made him shoot again but I landed a hit to his face, he fell back and passed out with a bloody face.

I held back my strength a bit so that they will not die. I walked to the nearest cop and picked up his gun. I tried to absorb it but it did not work so I moved onto his bulletproof vest. It worked! It granted me the ability to reduce my damage. I will call it [Damage Proof].

As I named it my body started to shake, I looked at my hands and saw my hands wriggling. It stopped after a few seconds and I felt stronger, way stronger than before.

Anyways that's for later! I better run before the said backup arrives. I ran downstairs and ran in a random direction. As I was running I heard some sirens and I turned my head, I saw some police cars heading towards the motel.

I saw people and cars and a very busy town so I quickly went into an alleyway. I kept on running in random directions in the alleyway until I reached a dead-end. There I saw a door which I busted open and ran inside, the place is deserted. I saw some stairs so I ran upstairs and found myself in a large hall, well not too large but still pretty big. It has small pillars still wrapped in plastic and it is even dusty. The windows are covered by black plastic covers so it is dark but as undead, I can see very well. I walked around the place and saw some items covered by black plastic wraps.

I walked towards one and removed it and there I found a sawing machine which of course I tried to absorb but did not work. I walked to another and found a statue, I did the same thing but nothing happened. I walked to another and found a mannequin, I tried it again and it activated.

Out of nowhere, my legs failed me and I fell. I felt my body shake uncontrollably. I tried to get up but I could not move my hands at all. I waited and after 2 minutes the shaking stopped. I stood up and patted my body but felt nothing, I deactivated the goo and then I was shocked.

My hands were no more flesh but skin and even tattoos. From my elbow to my wrist, it is painted black, my wrist above has a circle tattoo in the middle of my hand with lines leading to my fingers, my shoulders have circular tattoos there and even my chest has large black lines under my man-boobs, my legs had straight and circular lines leading to my ankles. I activated the goo again and got my clothes back.

I walked around again to find more stuff. I kept on removing the covers but the other items did not get absorbed so I left them. Soon I found a box which of course I opened and found an old radio, a hand mirror and some needles. I activated my ability instantly, the radio and needles got absorbed.

The radio gave me the ability to know and tap into the different sound frequencies, I will name it [Radio Tower] while the needles gave me the ability to know people's body weaknesses so this will be named [Acupuncture].

I removed my mask and used the mirror to see what my face has become. When I did so I was shocked, I have a face now. It still looked like my old one but it has some changes. I have black hair that is reaching my eyebrows, I have black Gothic eye shadows, my neck is tattooed black, I have something like hooks at the end of my jaws to half of my cheek and lastly, I have lip piercings that look like thorns at the two ends of my lip.
