CHAPTER 4 - DAMN DESTINY

CHAPTER 4 – DAMN DESTINY

Barely 20 minutes had passed since the alpha left, 20 minutes of agony until, finally, Huang Shen’s discomfort remained in a simple trace that was disappearing second by second.

Resting against the wall, Wang watched the omega getting dressed in his clothes, the ones he had brought seconds before.

“Are you feeling better?”

“Yeah”

He didn’t say anything else, he just put on his usual yellow T-shirt and the red gnawed trainers he always wore, to then grab the paper which was in the table by the armchair and bend to clean his vomit.

“Let me do it.”

The beta stopped him and approached him with the firm intention of snatching the paper and cleaning it himself. He didn’t want the redhead to make any efforts, not after seeing him squirming in pain and agony a minute ago.

“I told you I’m fine.” the redhead hit his hand to push him away.

“But you should take a rest-”

“F*ck, Yi Wang, I told you I’m fine! What the hell don’t you understand?”

The brunet stopped and looked at Huang Shen with a straight face, but, with a long resigned exhale he moved away from him. He already knew the other boy's behaviour and explosive personality, and hence, he knew that, for some reason, he hated being helped. Maybe it was because of his inferior condition of omega, and the way the rest of the humans usually treated him because of that condition, but these were just speculations.

“And what are you doing to do with…?”

He didn’t finish the question, but Shen knew exactly what he meant, and when he thought about him he got a lump in his stomach. Damn, even if during the long minutes that the side effects of the suppressor lasted he was wishing that torture finished, now it had happened his head was filled with lucid thoughts about that alpha, and it was even worse. Where did that guy come from and what was going to happen to him now? Maybe, far from the heat of the moment, he wouldn’t bother him anymore, after all, the fact that the destiny assigned them as a couple didn’t have to be something definitive, and… that guy didn’t seem like a long-time-relationship guy, he probably even forgot about him and went to find another person to submit. But what if he didn’t?

Huang Shen clicked his tongue and shook his head to get rid of those stupid thoughts when a light dizziness seized him, and he had to lay a hand on the wall to not lose his balance.

“I don’t know, leave me alone, I don’t want to think about it.”

Yi Wang sighed at the omega’s attitude and crossed his arms in a resigned attitude.

“Fine, I’ll be outside. Call me if you need anything.”

That being said, he got out of the place, closing the door after him. Once he was outside, a couple of omegas which were the redhead’s colleages got close to him with curiosity in their faces.

“What happened? Who was that alpha from before?”

Neither of them asked about Huang Shen, and the beta wasn’t ever surprised; after all, the redhead never got along with his co-workers, he always kept distance with everyone and the times they had interacted was because of a fight.

“It was an unforeseen, nothing to worry about.” he didn’t talk deep about it, he denied what they wanted the most, and disappointment appeared in the dancer’s faces. “Go back to work.” he added before leaving to avoid being asked more questions.

***

When Huang Shen finished cleaning everything, he threw the dirty papers to the bin. Another dizziness seized him and his legs shook slightly, but he sat on the small sofa quickly to avoid falling. He was still weak, he felt like he had been beaten up, and he knew he wouldn’t be okay until he went home, ate something and laid to get some rest. He closed his eyes briefly and laid his head on the backrest to recompose, but while he did that, while he was having those minutes of peace, his brain betrayed him and harassed him with the intrusive thoughts he had minutes before, those induced by the heat; that gray-eyed alpha, the suffocating heat, the fear of looking vulnerable against a bunch of drunk alphas… God, he was thankful to his survival instinct for giving him some last strength to run before collapsing on the floor and beginning the suffering. Just the thought of what could have happened if he stood there made his blood freeze and made him feel dirty and sick. He clenched his fists strongly, holding the desire of hitting anything to relieve himself, because if he’d broke something, he would have to pay it with his own money, and more debts is the thing he needed the least in that moment.

“This is crap” he mumbled to himself, getting up later carefully to grab his dark, age-worn sweater and leaving the room, closing the door after him.

When he did that, he found in front of himself the gray haired omega, laying on the wall in front of the door, waiting for him to come out. Shen’s heart skipped a beat and instinctively stepped back until he hit the door with his back, but he came back with pride when he realised the smirk on the other boy’s face. When Huang Shen saw that, he felt chills. He wanted to leave that place. That omega… was the only one that could make him feel true fear with a single stare of his amber eyes.

“How are you feeling?”

His voice was soft and filled with fake worry, as always, he could modify it based on the moment without really feeling it. He always had parsimony and elegance, as if nothing mattered to him, but surrounded by a very threatening dark aura.

Huang Shen swallowed hard, but kept his eyes locked to the other boy’s, frowning as usual with his challenging attitude.

“Why do you care, Shou Lee?”

“I care about you, that’s it.”

The redhead would have laughed sarcastically if he were another person, but in front of Lee he wasn’t brave enough to do so, so he stayed silent.

“Who was the alpha?”

“ I don’t know, and I don’t care.”

“I see…” he commented while he ran his fingers through his bangs disinterestedly, something he did frequently and was accompanied with an indecipherable and emotionless face.

Suddenly, his eyelids fell to his mideyes, letting his gaze lost, and Huang Shen felt a cold shiver through his nape: he knew enough about the omega to know that that gesture could only mean something horrible that was on his mind. He didn’t dare to move an inch, he only waited for him to come back to himself and when he did, he saw a sly smile appear on his face. Slowly, Lee got closer dangerously to the redhead, grabbing his shoulder and pressing his fingers in the bone as a sign of clear domination that froze his blood. Shen swallowed hard when his coworker got closer to his ear.

“It’s a shame that alpha found you even after you suppressed your heat, don’t you think?”

Shen’s eyes opened with surprise and terror, and then, he looked at him unable to understand, but he didn’t move an inch to show his bewilderment.

“What do you mean?”

“Nothing, I just wanted to point that out…” and as if nothing had happened, he came back to his previous position.

Huang Shen didn’t believe him, but he didn’t ask either, although that didn’t stop the thought running through his mind. What the hell did he mean? Did he see someone telling where he was to the alpha? That he did it himself? Or that he was recreating himself in the damn situation? Whatever it was he stayed silent, and Shou Lee widened his calm smile,, now filled with satisfaction, before he left without saying anything else, mixing with the red lights of the hallway.

A mix of confusion and worry occupied the redhead’s stomach, and his body, full of nerves, threatened with shaking again. He closed his eyes tightly to get rid of those thoughts and walked to the backdoor with the firm intention of going home, the only place where he felt more or less safe from everything… but it wasn’t easy, Lee’s words wouldn’t leave his mind and he couldn’t avoid trying to give them shape.

Shou Lee. The only omega of the building he had a relationship with, the only one he didn’t hate and the only one feared by all the dancers. Huang Shen himself wasn’t an exception. But there was a big difference between him and the rest of the strippers, because the others didn’t involve with Lee, but him…

No. It wasn’t the time to remember anything. He had to leave as soon as possible and leave behind until the next day any thought about the club, so he put on his jacket and opened the door to the street, wishing as hard as he could to not meet the stupid alpha again.

Big mistake.

A few meters away, hiding in a dark alley, he caught a glimpse of a strong, dark haired male figure who was laying on the wall, smoking a cigarette while looking at his phone. When he saw him, the male raised his head from the screen to lock eyes in Huang Shen’s face and put away the phone.

Maybe he couldn’t see him clearly, but there wasn’t a doubt that it was him.

For a moment their gazes crossed, and the omega felt intimidated, but he didn’t let any part of his body show it, he stayed firm, holding his gaze without fear.

F*ck, who was that guy and why did he have to appear? His destined partner… Ha! F*ck destiny and all that crap. He didn't believe in it and of course he didn’t want to have a partner, much less if it was because it was impositioned because of his condition. He didn’t need it. He could wait if he thought he had any possibility of getting close to him.

He didn’t know what to do. He wanted to reach him and punch him until he broke his face because of the way he treated him, but his senses told him that it was better to not do it, he didn’t like the vibe of the male. However, his omega side hadn’t disappeared yet, it was still sensible, and the smell that the brunet gave off burnt his insides, making him wish against his will to go to him and lay on his arms, creating a cocktail of mixed feelings that made Huang Shen’s blood boil.

“Come here.”

It was a resounding order. The alpha called him without moving an inch, except for the hand that was holding the cigarette.

Shen jumped slightly when he heard him, but this time he wasn’t going to obey. He was angry, he hated that son of a bitch, and he didn’t hesitate in giving him a rude gesture with his middle finger, accompanied by the words “f*ck you”. When he did it he felt pride, he wouldn’t let anyone tell him what to do, much less if that someone was an alpha.

The brunet closed his eyes when he saw that, threatening, although he threw the cigarette with parsimony and walked fast to the redhead. Before he could react, Huang Shen had the male’s hand around his neck and was pushed against the wall.

“Ugh!”

Startled, Shen grabbed his wrist, trying to pull it and get rid of it, but the other was stronger and he couldn’t move it. Nevertheless, he didn’t freak out, not anymore, his head was more lucid every second and even though he felt a bit weak, braveness was something he always had. He never feared confronting anybody, without caring about his condition, he had done it for years, even before he started working as a stripper, but it was then when confronting people became something habitual and he was already used to it. However, as much conviction he had, he couldn’t deny that man had something intimidating in him: his eyes were… too cold and too sharp.

Whatever. he didn’t care he felt intimidated, in the end it was another alpha trying to abuse his power and strength to submit him. Nothing new, and he wouldn’t allow to feel bad for something like that.

“Let me go, bastard!”

Qiang didn't answer, and didn’t obey either, instead he pressed harder. He didn't have a good day for this redhead to come and rebel, whoever the f*ck he was.

“I should punish you for having suppressed your heat.” he whispered against his face in a threatening voice that made him shiver.

It was the first time the brunet was rejected by someone, and that broke the great ego he had created through the years, because he never had any problem with seducing any man or woman, omega or beta.

“F*ck you, perv.”

“What did you just say?”

“I said f*ck y-”

Huang Shen couldn’t finish talking when he felt the male getting closer to his lips. His breath smelled like tobacco and hit his cheeks, and the other put a leg between his own to avoid any kick on his crotch. The redhead tensed immediately, he felt his blood freeze and his heart stop for a few seconds, but before they reached any intimate contact, he reacted: he moved his face and covered the other’s face with his hands, making him kiss them.

“DON’T TOUCH ME!” he screamed angry and closer to the hysteria. His stomach flipped feeling disgusting, that bitch had been about to kiss him...

To protect himself, he scratched the alpha’s face to free himself. He sunk his nails strongly and ripped the skin under them without caring, feeling the way it gave in under his touch. Finally, Qiang let him go.

“Damn it, you little shit…”

Xiè Qiang moved his hands to his face, touching it and feeling his fingers being slightly covered with blood. That stupid omega dared to hurt him until he bled. Oh, that he wasn’t going to forgive him.

Huang gasped agitated, nervous, while he rated his posibilities of fighting and running away. The guy was cleaning the blood on his face and by his gestures, he seemed really angry. Okay, he had to run away, his common sense told him to,but as in every situation he was mad, the impulses dominated him and that common sense was covered by any other much less convenient emotiones, like in this case, with pride. Pride for himself and the strong desire of breaking his face so he wouldn’t have any other chance to kiss him.

Letting the rage take control, he clenched his teeth and raised a fit to hit the distracted alpha’s face, but he didn’t know the alpha’s reflexes and his wrist was grabbed easily before he felt his stomach being hit by the other’s knee, making him bend over. Huang Shen felt his soul leaving his body, his gaze blurred and his breathing got stuck in his throat. Ho didn’t understand how everything happened so fast. His body, shaking because of the hit, fell over, unable to stand still, and the brunet held him by the waist before he hit the floor. Qiang raised an eyebrow surprised by the other’s weight, because apparently, the dancer wasn’t as light and he seemed in the first place, probably because of the strength in his muscles, although he didn’t need to make an effort to hold him.

He watched the way the redhead shiver in his hold for a few seconds, checking he didn’t hurt his organs forever. The hit hadn’t been so hard, but he preferred to check just in case. Soon he started breathing again and there wasn’t any blood or vomit anywhere, so he guessed everything was fine. Great, at least he wouldn’t die.

But now… What should he do with him?
