Flashback Continues

Alexander focused on the book in his hand, continuing to read the book in his hands. He tried to focus on just reading but it was hard, it had been almost two hours and she didn't wake up. Putting the book on the table, he stood up and walked towards the bed. Sitting on the edge of the bed, Alexander reached to touch Amber's forehead only to find her burning.

"She has a high fever." Alexander realized."Amber." He called her to remove the blanket from her body but she didn't reply.

Reaching to feel her pulse, he cursed as he picked up his phone. Her heartbeat was very slow. He should have seen it coming, she was out in the cold without a coat. The poor girl was burning with fever for more than two hours and he was just sitting there.

"Get the car ready. Quickly." He ordered before he ended the call.

"Amber." He called her again, shaking her shoulders.
