Alexander POV

Four months passed and there wasn't a trace of her. I searched for her everywhere but I couldn't find her. It was like she disappeared or that she never existed. It started to feel like I was chasing a mirage.

The bitter truth is, that no matter how hard I tried to hate her, I couldn't. I still remember the first time I saw her, she was singing on the stage and when our eyes met, she smiled. Her smile made my heart skip a beat.

The second time we met, she saved me from being poisoned. But was all of this part of her plan? Did she even love me? Or was everything a lie?

I ask myself these questions every day, trying to come up with an answer, but I couldn't. All the leads led me to the truth of her plan but not to her. Amber or Iris as her real name, had worked with the mayor to kill him, the plan was to kill at the first chance but she didn't. She spent a whole year with me, she had many chances to kill me but she didn't.
