Chapter 13

The next morning, he woke up determined to tell his father about his future wife.

Meanwhile, Alia already woke up and preparing the breakfast for the prince.

"She looks happy." Said Sebastian who was currently peeking on her behind the edge of wall.

"Right? Something Mus happened to her last night." Suddenly he heard a woman voice.

"Margaret? When did you came behind me?"

"Been pretty long."

"Did you hear everything I said?"

"Yes."

"Including the part when I said she looks good in bunny dress?"

"What?"

"Nevermind."

"So why did you spying on her?"

"I suspected her as a spy for Elvia kingdom."

"You what?! How did you come to that conclusion?"

"She seems close to the prince. She must be plotting something."

He's no good. Margaret thought to herself. He may be old, but he can be stupid sometimes.

"That you don't have to worry." Said Margaret. "I guarantee you that she's only a normal farmer's girl that hired as a maid by the prince."

"She's a farmer's daughter?"

"What? You didn't know? Everyone talked about it when she first came into the house."

"How come?! I've never heard of such things!"

"You should make more friends, Sebastian. You're the head butler of this house. Shouldn't you make friends with other butlers?"

"Hmph! Those idiots can't compare themselves to me. They're unworthy."

"Yes... You're the greatest... nothing beats you..."

"Do you just mock me?"

"No I didn't."

"Yes. You did."

"No. I did not."

"Yes you did. I heard it with my own ears."

As they were arguing at the same subject over and over, Alia already made her way to the prince's room.

"Look, why are we fighting right now!" Said Sebastian. "I already lost her because of you!"

"Look, you expired old man!"

"expired?!"

"You already know she's innocent, didn't you? That means you don't have the reason to spy on her."

"Yes, but I know the king didn't know that she's a farmer's daughter. The king almost never get out of his room. He must never heard of the gossip going around, did he?"

"I suppose he didn't."

"Good. Now I got the reason to have an audience with the king."

"I swear, If you make her cry, I pull of your groin and feed it to the pigs!"

Sebastian didn't said anything then.

Sebastian walked hastily toward the king's room. He found Alia was walking down the hallways.

"Ana, come with me!"

He dragged Alia to the king's room along with him.

Currently, the prince was having a talk with the king. He did not yet tell him about the propose he made yesterday.

As they were talking, Sebastian opened the door with Alia dragged in his hand.

"Excuse me, Your highness." Said Sebastian.

"Sebastian, how dare you just walked in without notice." Said the king.

"But, Your highness, I have something to tell you."

He dragged Alia in front of him.

"This girl right here is actually a farmer's daughter brought by the prince."

The king looked at Lewis. Lewis just nodded, agreeing with Sebastian's statement.

"I know actually."

"What?" Sebastian shocked.

"Lewis just told me about it."

"Is... Is that so... And? Are you just gonna be it like this? She's a farmer. She couldn't be here."

"Watch your mouth. Sebastian. You're talking to a former mercenary." Said the king.

"I... didn't mean it that way."

The king averted his eyes to the maid.

"Even so, I've never seen your face."

Alia looked straight to the floor as she felt unworthy to look at the king's face.

"Worry not, my dear. Held you held high."

She slowly held her head up.

The king finally saw her face.

"She's really looked like your mother when she's alive." Said the king. "Almost... identical..."

But when he took a second look, he said,

"No... It can't be..."
