Chapter 65 Sierra Estate

Marco and his siblings couldn't help but admire their new home. The estate is quite large and the infrastructures were unlike any other. The buildings looked otherworldly and unique.

The buildings were rectangular and vertically long, the windows were glass and it can be change to wooden ones. The entire main house is warm unlike the cold streets of the district; the halls were bright and there were soft cushions to seat on. The sweet scent of freshly baked apple pie can be smelled and made the newly arrived people's mouth water.

"Welcome everyone! Here have some of these, these are freshly baked. Would you like a glass of warm milk?"

"Here! Take some coat with you, the weather is chilly and you guys might get some cold."

The people who were working here prior to their arrival wore welcoming smiles and just like them, they were saved by the lady. They were surprised and wary at first but knowing their good intentions, they let their guard down and came in friendly terms. Since they come with the same background, they were able to adjust quickly and be at home to the new environment.

In this place, they can eat three times a day, they can take a bath whenever they wanted, have clean clothes, they can also sleep in comfortable and warm rooms with bed and blanket. They were given just anything a human should have. This place were like heaven to the people Aillenne saved. There is nothing they can ever ask and they were grateful for her grace.

"I never thought I could live in a place like this..."

"There's a warm house, friendly people, good living conditions..."

"We can eat and sleep without fear of being robbed of our life..."

"The children were even taught how to read and write by teachers..."

"I couldn't thank god enough to make me live to this day and make me feel this kind of luxury."

Everyone agreed and steeled their resolve.

Leader Jeremy is facilitating the people from the tenth district together with Hugo and Sir Erick who became the temporary head of the house as they were the right hand of Aillenne for her business. They would first convene in the office and discuss the plan before handing out the task to the right people to do the job.

"I'm just curious as to how lady Aillenne got the idea of making the place like this." Sir Erick were conversing with Hugo as they went to oversee the people at work.

"Indeed. I'm quite perplexed when I saw the plans and blueprints she gave. Just looking at the place and the equipments she demanded the estate to have... it makes me think that I'm starting to stray from the normal way of thinking."

Cling! Cling!

They can see the motivated faces of the people as they work on the pipes that gathers water from the river to the underground building. The house now is fully equipped with water and it runs to the faucet in every room. They no longer need to fetch the water directly from the river to wash the dishes, cook food or do the laundry. Life in this estate became easy and they were able to do more work because all of the facilities needed are provided.

"Good morning Sir Erick and Sir Hugo, are you here to inspect the water pipes?"

"Yes. How is it going?"

"Good. We may be able to finish installing this at about an hour or so."

They could see wheels being rotated by the flow of water and there were belt connected to one part of the house.

"I never thought that we can use the power of water to make the machines move."

"Hmm... such ingenuity." Sir Erick couldn't help but nod as they proceed their inspection.

A few months back, about a second week of her contract with Collin's guild, Aillenne, used the original Aillenne's money from her bank and her safe and used it to invest on lilacs, which became a material for the perfume trend months back and gained a lot of money. Hence, she was able to build a few shelters for the prospective people who will come over to work at the same time garner enough to acquire the materials needed to install machines.

The people lived there happily while following every instructions Aillenne gave them through a letter. They build good waterways, an underground building equipped with temperature regulating apparatus, a space for breeding animals, then a laboratory and just anything needed.

Furthermore, Aillenne put so much attention on the waters and the living conditions of the people. She changed their ways of living and implemented hygiene. One big reason for this is the plague that were supposed to strike the people and made them almost immobile, which makes the human traffickers easily capture them. Those traffickers were actually the ones who poisoned the waters of these people.

By the time the winter came, they began to extract the sap from the trees Aillenne wanted to have. They were maple trees and they could have quite a large amount of maple syrup and maple sugar to extract from the trees around the estate. Implementing the use of blue magic stones and magical temperature regulating apparatus made them able to extract these maple sap all year round.

Men were tasked to extract the sap at the same time take care of the poultry products and breed the domesticated rabbits. The women were tasked to grow the wheat, vegetables and fruits inside the four storey buildings in addition to the underground space.

Aillenne employed the vertical gardening from her previous life, though with the help of the magical apparatus.

Likewise, the children together with Marco, his siblings, Mikhael and Risha were taught by commoner teachers and made the surface looked like an orphanage.

The estate housed about 32 families excluding the children and individuals.

"Whenever I come here to look, there's always a new building and machine to see." Collin said as he traversed the wide space.

"Master, I have looked into the new plan lady Aillenne gave us earlier. I've also ordered the materials needed at the same time given instructions to the people." Hugo reported.

"Is that so? Good job. Just continue to follow her instructions. So far all her plans brought us success. All we have to do is follow her and do our best in the job."

"Yes, Master."
