Chapter 41 Nanny

The Winstons is one of the most powerful family who went hand in hand with the imperial family in the war with the monsters since a long time ago. They were always at the back of the royals supporting them in their decisions. They may only have the title of Marquisate, but if they wanted, they can go against the royals.

They were once a simple family, but they had the most important attribute which is handling mana and the waters. They were given a title by the first emperor and were regarded as supporters by the royal family. The royal family can't touch the Winstons and they can almost do whatever they wanted.

Good thing, the agreement were still in effect.

Yet, it the still the biggest reason why the title was most coveted.

The Winston Marquisate has always been noisy in the past. The political conflict between the three siblings had always been the problem.The turmoil became bloody and it always became the talk of nobles.

Then the fray only calmed down when the current Marqius, Marquis Klaude Winston won over his siblings.

Dalton, the eldest, took the Marquisate of Glanqoia and he is currently found in the south of the empire holding in the borders towards the Mt. Sarzuen where monsters were most common.

Count Agatha, the youngest, went to live with his family in the Garwin Kingdom and you can count only a few times when he went back to the Dominique Empire.

The image and splendor of the Marquisate was returned and fixed six months after succeeding, hence the place was much peaceful.

The Marchioness Camilla, who is wedded with Claude since ten was also the object of envy. However, people could say that she's the one who made great effort in bringing back the beauty of the estate. She, who likes to brag to others made huge effort in maintaining the grand view of the vast Marquisate. The gardens, lawns to drawing rooms and the ball room were the most beautiful part of the house.

The nobles would come and go, enjoying the entertainment provided by Camilla. She would spend a lot of money from the coffers of the Marquisate to beautify things she wanted.

She likes sparkly and gorgeous things.

But one thing she didn't like is her daughter who came from her own womb.

The image of Aillenne smiling and watering her plants came to the nanny's view.

The child that she's been taking care of had grown to be a beautiful and wonderful girl. Even without the love and care of her parents, she lived striving to stay sane.

I had witnessed the atrocities of the Winston family. The master and mistress of the house live an indecent life and they take pleasure in immoral affairs and violence.

The young master and the younger miss were also feeding of their desire in destruction and killing. They seem to reenact the bloody times from sixteen years ago. Only the young lady Aillenne was normal in the Winston family.

She was normal in terms of commoners.

The nanny who came from the outskirts was brought by the master in this house to take care of Aillenne. She had a family to feed so she left them for money and took care of Aillenne as replacement of her own children.

Good thing her son, daughter and niece understood her actions. She wasn't even afraid when she took the noble job that is unfit for a commoner, but she didn't regret her decision. Looking at the young miss, her heart swelled with happiness.

She had a lot of worries when Aillenne died, she went nearly insane to the point of taking care an obviously dead body. But, alas! It was brought back to life.

Nowadays, the nanny was convinced that Aillenne really forgot about herself. She was indeed different. She doesn't try hard to please her parents and she became more accustomed of her life in the west part of the mansion. She doesn't throw tantrums or sought for her parents' presence.

Aillenne originally wanted to gain her parents' affection, and does everything to make them look at her, but it was impossible. The master even only looked for her five months after her revival!

She felt disgusted with the famous and well-known Winston family, but couldn't hate Aillenne.

"I would never dare hate such a bright and kind child."

She even had a good impression with Derrick now, who takes care of Aillenne and doesn't feel bad at all. He really takes care of his sister and I hope he will not hurt her anymore.

She remembered the times when Derrick would bully Aillenne, but it feels like the young master really realized his fault.

Anything good is good.

And I liked seeing the siblings taking care of each other.

Aillenne went near her nanny and gave her the first bunch of roses that she herself planted.

The nanny gave thanks to Aillenne, but also to someone who gave her the chance to take care of such wonderful lady. Her eyes curved to a smile as tears of joy threatened to fall.

She quickly wiped it off and hugged Aillenne tight, whispering thanks over and over again.

Aillenne who's puzzled by her nanny's actions kindly accepted her warmth.

It was such a beautiful and sunny morning.
