1 A year after

Trying to live in a small apartment in Shanghai is like living in hell, it's been a year she has not seen anyone from her family, working for herself has been a little difficult but she has started to manage it. Her ex fiance and her sister are in news for their engagement, but ignoring them and her family has been the best option for her, at times crying is the only thing she could do, it's like her life has been on a rollercoaster ride, trying not to go in depression was her main goal in this whole year.

When she shifted to Shanghai, it was difficult for her even to search for a job. Going to job then coming home and crying was only things she could do in her first months, due to all the stress and her determination for herself, she lost almost 80 pounds in a year. She was 200 hundred pounds when she left Bejing and now she is 120 pounds, which made her look more beautiful and healthy than ever before.

After a year also it was hard for her not to cry, she still was in a state where she cried atleast a week.Living like a introvert and not making single friend in Shanghai was her choice and she was getting use to this lifestyle.

As today also like everyday, she got up at 7 in morning, going for a run she decided to wear tracks and sweat shirt, looking at herself in the mirror she saw a reflection of pale white skin girl, who had beautiful pair of dark brown eyes, small and sharp nose and pink lusious lips with a dimple on each cheeks, a slim waist and a average height of 5'5 feet.

As she came back after her run, she came back to see her door ajar, cautiously entering her living room she got stunned for a minute as she saw her grandfather's assistant standing quietly beside her sofa.

Giving him a sharp and piercing glare, she firmly told him.

"I don't reckon giving you permission to directly enter my house, assistant Lin."

His reaction was slightly different than she anticipated it to be.

"Miss Zhao, your grandfather is in hospital and your presence is immediately required."

As the impact of his words fell on Zhao Ling she collapsed on the floor, tears flowing continuously from her eyes, from her whole family it was her grandfather and no one else that could bring this reaction out of her, but assistant Lin once again continued.

"Miss you have to come with us, he is Shanghai's city hospital."

Looking at him with her tearful eyes she nodded and quickly stood up as she gestured assistant Ling to accompany her.

When they reached city hospital, they were taken to private floor of the hospital for VIP patients. When she reached her grandfather's ward she saw him on the bed and a young handsome man was sitting on the sofa, entering she glanced at the man sitting with him and went upto her grandfather, sitting beside his bed she once again started crying.

With a noise of someone sniffing cane to his ears, her grandfather opened his eyes and saw his favourite granddaughter crying in front of him, lifting his hand to caress her cheek he took the opportunity to speak first.

"My dear Ling, I wanted to meet you but my health was in a bad condition."

Sniffing, she rubbed her eyes as she took his hand in her's as he continued.

" I am now fine, but I wanted to meet you for a particular reason, will you do something for me?"

Nodding, she thought to herself that whatever her grandfather says she was ready to do. Seeing her approval he gestured assistant Lin to bring the man forward. As the man came to his side, her grandfather stated the reason she was here today.

"I want you to marry this man, I want you to marry Lu Cong."

As full force of words of her grandfather hit her, she looked at him in a scared manner as her fears spoke.

"Are you selling me?"

When she asked him this question she wanted him to answer it, but a heavy voice of immense authority spoke.

"You think Lu family is this cheap, I hope in future you speak with much sense."

Now she knew who was he, he was the heir of Lu company. The CEO of Lu company and the big brother of underworld.

"She did not mean it xiao Cong, but I want you to marry her." As grandfather Zhao said this to Lu Cong, he instantly replied.

"I will wait outside sir." Bowing he left the room. Then her grandfather turned to her as he addressed her.

"Lu Cong is my student, I am his mentor and his grandfather is my bestfriend dear Ling, how can you say I sold you? He is the best man you can ever have my dear."

Looking unsure of her grandfather's words she practically looked everywhere but the person she loved the most.

"Do it for me, I am not sure how much I am going to live."

Hearing him her body suddenly reacted. Looking up at him and keeping her hands on her mouth, tears welled up in her eyes as she nodded and reluctantly agreed to her grandfather's terms.
