1 CHAPTER 1

Turning into the narrow alley, the voices in her head became louder. In fact, now they were all she could hear. They had not left her for a moment. "Emily. Emily". Behind her she heard the crawling again. She felt the icy breath in her throat. And that was enough to put her on her feet. Something grabbed her and pulled her by the leg causing her to fall down. Her jaws collided with momentum as she fell hard on the rough asphalt. Suddenly she felt an acute chest pain and everything froze.

Darkness. She opens her eyes. She is lying on a bed. All she can see are the fluorescent lamps on the ceiling. Excited voices and screams. They sound familiar. Ah! How much she would like to stay there forever... But time passes. And she feels it. The clock is ticking. And she sinks into something soft. And dark. Oh yes it is so dark. She tries to maintain her senses. But it is in vain. Can a strainer hold the water?

The voices . They are lost. They become faint. Now she hears a whisper. As she sinks she pleads, she begs the voices not to abandon her but they have stopped being heard for a while now. And then the falling started.
