I want daddy

After having a warm hug, Katina asked" Now tell me what you want?"

The little girl is still indifferent and is not calmed down. She is not ready to talk with her about her concern. So she just washed away by saying, "Nothing. Even if I tell you what, you won't do it. My answer will be a long silence. Why Bother? So forget it Katina.", The little Dolunay said with her cute Silvery voice.

"Dolunay manners", A voice entered the room as soon as Dolunay said those words and calling her mother by her name. It was Steve who said it. Though Steve is a personal pediatrician for Dolunay, he also take care of the little one's studies as well. He is like a caretaker and a private teacher who helps Mary to do her work when she is busy with chores. At first he struggled. But latter he found that this little girl is inquisitive and eager to know a lot of stuff. Her quest for answers for the questions paved a way to Steve to handle her. That is how he became the teachers. Sometimes he even correct her manners and etiquette as well just like now.

At first Katina disapproved it. But latter on seeing a big smile and how her daughter is enjoying his company, She agreed to the arrangement.

"It's okay Steve. She can do that. You guys leave.", Katina know what is going on in her little one's brain. So she wanna have a little talk with her.

"yes", Steve left the room. Later Katina scooped up Dolunay in her arms and walked out of her room to Katina's Room.

Dolunay, Five year old cheerful kid, in her preschool years. She is a bit hyperactive. But extremely mature when compared to other kids of her age. She is an Ambivert who shows her real self to the people who she likes and under most of the situation she is calm and quiet. An adorable girl who everyone wanna hold of. She is her mother's everything. Katina named her Dolunay, which means full moon as she brought the ray of hope which shine like a moonlight. That is why her calling name is Moonshine. For Katina she is everything. She love so much that she wish to give her best in everything she seeks.

After placing her in her bed, Katina squatted down holding the little hands in her hand and caressing it, "Now tell me what's the matter."

"Actually, father's day is coming and teachers asked us to bring our father.", Dolunay said in a low voice while looking down as her mother is playing with her palms.

"ohh.", Only a oh came out of Katina.

Despite the fact she have everything, The little one lacks the fatherly love. Dolunay expressed it to her once. Katina managed to give her the reason why she don't have a father. Dolunay accepted her explanation. Katina can feel that this is something that she still want in her life. Katina is still struggling on how to fill that space of a father. She knows that there is no father figure in her birth. But how can she explain this to this little one. She can understand what the little one wants from her now.

"I know I don't have a father as I am special. Hecate aunty told me that. But, I don't feel like going there without father.", Dolunay was cautious about not bothering her mother with this topic again. But she simply can't help.

"You have me.", Katina reassured her.

"Problem is that.", Dolunay said in a sad tone.

"Even last year I came right.", She placed her palms on her little face and was rubbing her cheeks as if she is patting a little lost kitty. Katina can understand that something had happened to her that she is trying to keep from her. But today she wanna talk with her and know what she is actually facing. It is also a duty as a parent to take care of your children's mental health for their healthy growth. Katina wanna give her a sense of friendship and assurance that she can bring up anything, Literally anything to discuss with her.

"Yeah you came. But all the kids started to hate and get away from me from then.", She said with a face of withered flower which is way too unusual of her.

"What?", Katina knows that there will always some sort of misunderstanding and companion- hate relationship between kids. It is something that is unavoidable when a person was left to explore outer world on their own, be it school, be it society. But Isolation, that to in a preschool... That is something she didn't expected.

"Yeah. They said that as I don't have a father, their Mommy said you are dirty so am I. Mommy, Is not having a father a bad thing? I am not dirty. They even bully me from then. But you don't have to be sad. Because I know Mommy loves me and I love Mommy. But I don't wanna lose my face in front of them. I want a Daddy. That's it. I am not forcing you. I am just telling as you asked me.", Dolunay finally opened up. It was not hard for her to say things out to her mother. But her little eyes became a crater that holds all the hot spring that is coming out of the tear gland which this kid some how managed not overflow from her eyes.

Katina was just stunned and left speechless. She can feel her daughter's emotions quite well. Even she face those humiliating words when she was pregnant with her. As a single mother who was not married yet having a baby.. Don't this society have a different view upon them.

She know the facts about her pregnancy and condition. She had Hecate, Deuce, and the man who doesn't wanna come in front of her yet loves her and cherishes her like she is some precious thing that only he possess in this world.
