"Okay, that's it for today ... next week we'll have quiz, don't forget to study and do the assignment. Class dismissed, see you next time." the middle-aged lecturer closed the class as he tidies up his things.

In the very front row seat, sat alone man in a stereotypical weebs attire. Gray hoodie, black shirt with anime characters, black-rimmed polymer glass, black surgical mask, and lastly black laptop bag that has game char keychain. 

His name is Ahmad Minan Ramadhan, usually goes with Minan. While his attire screamed weebs, he's one of the more 'normal' people in the class. After all, who's not a weeb after covid-19? Following the pandemic outbreak, it seems like everyone become a weeb. The weeb population has risen sporadically that even normies catches up with the latest anime.

"Min, let me see your Spectroscopy note." his circle friend Bekant asked as he sat down beside him and grabbed his binder. Copying it to his own notebook

"Yeah, sure." Minan didn't bother with Bekant and let him on his own device. 

He took out his phone and unlocked it, but after placing his thumb on the fingerprint sensor, the screen blackened and glitched with various color for a bit. He frowned seeing this. He locked and unlocked the screen again, to see a strange pop-up notification.

'What the hell is this? Virus?' Minan thought after locking and unlocked the screen for the fifth time. He can't return and couldn't change into other application as this pop-up notification keep appearing.

And the adult, obviously he read those for the explicit adult content that could make his blood boil, especially the blood in his lower half.

Minan mused for a bit, the first option seems like Narnia. He never read the novel, but he watched the movies back when he was a kid. 

The second option is that one anime that traumatized him. There's no way he could see rabbit with the same eyes again after watching the second season. 

As for the BTTH, he read the novel until 300 chapters or so and he watched the 3D donghua until the third season and the graphic is good, similar to that 3D unity or mmd hentai ..., Medusa is flawlessly pretty too.

And then the last option, he read the novel back when he's still in highschool until Book 40 or so if he didn't remember it wrong. It was good one, he enjoyed the book.

Minan could only let out a confused huh seeing the last text. His phone blackened and rebooted for somehow or another. However, before it entered the operating system startup showing the manufacturer logo, he felt a sting in his chest. A sharp pain attacked his heart as he dropped the phone with loud thud alerted Bekant who was still sitting beside him copying his note. 

He tried to suppress his scream, but the contorted face could tell how painful he felt right now. He lost his hearing and soon his vision blurred before it completely blackened. He collapsed on the floor, clutching his heart, as his eyes rolled back and his breathing stopped.

"What's wrong with him?" asked Jamal.

"Don't worry, he's just sleeping." Bekant who was still thinking that he's joking calmly said. "That's enough joking bruf, get up now."

Bekant poked him playfully with his feet. Everyone else also started doing their own stuff and ignored Minan collapse as one of his weird antics. The weebs often sleep in the middle of a class, they thought it he might pull on all-nighter marathon anime or something last night. Minan was famous for his ability to sleep anywhere and anytime. Even when there's a final test of the hardest class like Quantum Mechanic, he could sleep soundly in those pressuring environment.

"Kant, move him back to the chair ... look how poor he is." said Ayu, the girl who sat on the second row right behind those two.

"Nah, don't bother ..., he prefers sleeping in the cold floor than this stiff abomination." Said Bekant as he pats the folding chair.

The girl still wants to say something, but she just pursed her lips as she continued fiddling her phone. She then quietly observed the 'sleeping' figure from her peripheral vision and wondered how someone could so easily entered sleep like that. She suffered from insomnia because of high stress and depression these days, how she envies the easygoing and happy-go-lucky attitude of this guy.

She has good impression of him after accidentally meet up few times in cosplay events. An amicable and heavy introverted guy, though he's kinda cute in her honest opinion. Too bad that it wasn't necessarily her type, and he's also dead poor so she never considered him as a potential boyfriend.

When Ayu took a moment of observing him while reeling on her own thought, she realized that his chest didn't heaves up and down as would someone when they're sleeping. She felt bad premonition and called out to the person nearest to her.

"Kant, are you sure he's sleeping and not fainted? Check on him first!"

"I'm trying to concentrate here, girlie. Why don't you do it?" Bekant dismissed it and keep copying Minan's notes.

"You ..." Ayu was aggravated with the dismissal, she then stood up and pull the chair to check on him. Others also watching her from the side while some approached.

Ayu pushed him and tried to wake him up. Seeing no reaction, she checked on his nostril to see it ceased breathing. She grabbed his palm to check his pulse ... however, it was way too late.

"No, no, no ..., Minan, hey this gotta be a joke. Minan! No!!! Minan!?!" Ayu screamed hysterically as tears leaked out from her eyes. This caused everyone to put extra attention to the class' extra.

Jamal the class president felt a foreboding after seeing this, he knelt down and took Minan's cold hand to check on his pulse.

"There's no pulse!" he also checked Minan's nostril but felt there's no breathe in or out. "Someone, call the ambulance! Quick!"

"No need for that, Mal. Let's get a stretcher in seventh floor. Let's get him to the hospital."

"Right, we also have hospital. Okay, someone go and get me the stretcher now."

The whole class burst into a panic. They never expect that one day their classmates, someone who studied together to have an emergency situation like this. And they also felt somehow guilty for not quick handling this situation. Minan is not bullied by them or anything, but he's relatively quiet kid and his hobby is questionable so only a select few would befriend with him.

Their campus has hospital built beside it because this university is famous for its medical program. It only 600 meters apart from the Joint Lecture Building. After getting a stretcher, they brought Minan's body to the hospital. 

Minan was sentenced death of cardiac arrest. The doctor makes a note that if only he got brought to the hospital quick enough, perhaps it could've been prevented. Alas, it has happened and there's nothing could change it. But that words only made a sharp sting to the one in that class. Especially Bekant who dismissed Minan's situation as some sort of joke. He felt remorse and guilt that he scrunched his face and feel like he's worse than shit.

That day, Ahmad Minan Ramadhan, 19 years old undergraduate student died.

Magic Beast Mountain Range.

A man wearing a sinister face mercilessly stabbed a youth with his sword. Four people with similar azure white robe were watching him with strange gleam in their eyes. On the cuff of their robes, there was a silver sword on a cloud badge with stars in them showing their affiliation. 

"Hahaha, lowly bug. That's what you get for trying to get close to my Jiao'er." the man laughed maniacally as he repeatedly makes a cut on the victim's body.

"Young Master, the blood might lure magical beast ... we need to leave here or else we had to face them."

"Hah, I'm done with this piece of shit anyway." the 'Young Master' spat at the mangled corpse before throwing his sword at one of his henchmen. They hurriedly leave the vicinity as they didn't want to confront the magical beast.

Sometime later, magical beasts started approaching the corpse and were about to feast on the unfortunate lad corpse. But then, in that split second a pillar of light descended into the corpse startling the magical beasts.
