Chapter 7

My spine chilled out by seeing Steve with some other girl. I stepped inside the auditorium and I was speechless. That girl who looked familiar was non other than my best friend Amelia.

"Steve!" I managed to say finally.

"What are you doing here Maya? I thought that you would be in the canteen with everyone."

"Why are you so tensed to see me here? And Amelia what are you doing over here?"

"Maya you know Amelia?"

"Yeah. I know here since seven years and she is my best friend. Now Amelia will you please take some trouble to tell me what are you doing over here?" I almost shouted.

"Maya relax! I'll tell you everything."

"So tell me Amelia."

"You remember last year when I was selected for the a inter school trip. I meet Steve there and we became quite good friends."

"Oh. But you didn't told me about him."

"I might have forgotten to tell you. And that's why that day when you told about Steve I thought that you were talking about him but then I thought that you can never mix-up with him because he's so very different from you."

"Girls if you are finished, Maya please listen it's nothing like that what you're thinking so please relax. "

"I'm so sorry Steve I didn't meant to suspect on you."

"It's ok Maya. And don't be insecure I'm all yours.

I couldn't help myself from smiling after listening to his comment.

"And by the way Amelia what were you doing here? "

"Actually I just came to the nearby coffee shop, so I came here to meet you and fortunately I bumped into Steve. So we came here for a talk."

"Ok. You guys carry on I'll catch you later. Bye Amelia I'll meet you in the evening at Steph's."

"Yeah. I'll see you there."

"Bye Steve."

Steve smiled at me and I walked back to the canteen. Only Anna was sitting there.

"Where did everyone went?"

"Actually Chase and Mason are going back to LA today. They were only in this school for sometime till they didn't get their transfer and Noah and Camellia have gone to drop them to the airport."

"You didn't went with them?"

"No. I couldn't see them leaving."

"I understand that Anna. Even two of friends left a week back."

"Where is Steve?"

"He's in the audi with my friend."

"With your friend?"

"Yeah. My best friend Amelia is Steve's friend too. So, they're hanging out."

"Hanging out. And that too in the audi."

"So? What's so funny?"

"Nothing. Don't loose your man darling."

"I trust him."

"Good for you. Let's go to the class."

We walked to our classes and Steve didn't came. There was no spare after the break so I couldn't go, and look for Steve.

After the school Anna left early with Noah. And I, waited for Steve but he didn't came. He was not even in the auditorium and his car was not there too. I took a cab as I didn't had my car because I walked to the cafe and then came to school with Steve.

When I reached home I called Steve but he didn't answered my call. This behavior of him was so annoying and it irritated me. I switched off my phone and sat down to study. I studied for more than three hours and then I decided to take a nap.

When I woke up it was dark outside and I looked at the clock and it was seven thirty in the evening. I literally slept for more than two hours.

I switched on my phone and there were a plenty of missed calls from Noah and Anna.
