Chapter 6

Steve left and for the whole night I couldn't stop thinking about him.

Next morning my parents left for India and Steve messaged me to meet him at the breakfast at the cafe.

We both spent some time with each other and then had to rush for the school. All our friends were waiting for us near the parking.

"Where were you guys? " Mason asked in a confused tone.

"Just between something." Steve said trying to hide his smile.

"You people could have told us we've been waiting since half and hour." Chase said as he was a bit annoyed.

"Guys we'll tell you everything but not now." Steve said walked away.

"Maya at least you tell us because Steve is an asshole." Camellia said as she was very curious.

"He will tell you during the break and I think we all should leave for the our classes or we'll be late." I said to avoid the topic.

We all walked to our classes. When I walked in Steve was already there and gestured me to sit with him but I wanted to study as it was calculus class and I wanted to study that. I sat behind him instead to sitting beside him.

"Come and sit with me." he said.

"Not in this period."

Our second period was spare and we both thought of going somewhere.

"Hey Maya! Are you going somewhere?" Anna shouted from the corridor.

"Not really. You need something?" I asked.

"I wanted to talk to you." she said.

"Ok. I'm coming, you wait for me in the canteen."

She sighed and walked away to the canteen.

"Steve we can catch up later. Please."

"Of course. I'll meet you in the next period."

He hugged me and went somewhere.

"What happened Anna, anything serious?"

"You and Steve are in a relationship?" Anna said in a very serious tone.

"What!"

"I'm serious Maya. Tell me. "

"Yes. And we were going to tell you guys in the break."

"Are you sure about it. I mean do you really like him."

"Yes babe. I'm totally sure."

"Ok then. If you're ok then he might be good."

"But Anna you and Steve are very good friends so why aren't you sure about him?"

"It's not like that. Actually Steve never wanted to be in a relationship. He is a kind of a playboy. That's why I was a bit concerned."

"Thanks for you your concern but we really like each other."

"Well then congratulations babe."

"Thanks Anna."

I told her everything. And by the time our spare ended. It was economics and I was there in the class on time. I looked for Steve but he wasn't there.

I sat alone so that he comes he can sit beside me. But he didn't came. After this it was the break.

I meet Anna and Camellia near the canteen and Noah, Mason and Chase joined us.

"Where is Steve?" I asked them.

"We were going to ask you the same thing because we all know that you know him better." Noah said almost laughing.

"How would I know?"

"Because you are his girlfriend." Chase shouted out and everyone was smiling.

"Who told you guys?"

"Anna of course." Mason said.

"Anna!"

"Babe actually Steve told me to tell everyone because I think he won't be coming in the break with us." Anna told us.

"What! He promised me that he'll be there. Guys I'll catch you later."

"But where are you going?" Camellia asked.

"I need to look for Steve. Bye. "

Before anyone else could have said something I ran out of the canteen and rushed to the parking to see if Steve's car was there.

"Russ have you seen Steve?"

"I think he is in the auditorium." he told me.

"Thanks Russ."

He smiled and walked away. I walked towards the auditorium. And I could see Steve from the window but someone else was also there with him. Some girl.

He was sitting with a girl whom I have never seen in this school. But that girl was very familiar.
