Chapter 10

I was busy setting my home, as my friends were going to show up anytime today. I missed Steve as I haven't meet him since Tuesday. Suddenly my phone buzzed and I hoped it to be Steve's message but it was from Tessa.

Hi babe.. What's up??

Hi Tessa.. Nothing much man! Was cleaning my place.

Better clean it then , me Steph and Amelia will be showing up by 6.

Oh that great. Actually Anna , Noah and Camellia are also coming. It will be fun.

OK then.

I was happy that after such a boring week I'll be having a fun day with all my friends. I cleaned my house and then dressed up in a sober peach dress.

I ordered pizza and some other junk food for everyone.

It was almost five thirty when Anna and Noah showed up. And just after two minutes when they came Camellia came running as she thought she was late.

" So how is my birthday girl. " Anna grinned.

" I'm absolutely fantastic."

" So Maya can we start with the planning as I will be leaving early as I have a project to finish so I can enjoy your party tomorrow."

" Ok Camellia. But at least stay up till 8."

" Fine."

We all sat down to plan everything. Noah came up with an idea of a black theme birthday party as I love black.

Anna and Camellia wanted a hot tube party.

So finally then we decided to combine both of them. By the time we ended our discussion the pizzas were delivered and all my other friends even showed up.

Noah told everyone the final plan for my birthday and everyone was happy with it.

" So Maya , what are you thinking to wear tomorrow?" Amelia asked.

" I've bought a new black dress and boots so probably I'll be wearing them."

" Nice choice. And where's Steve?"

" He's in Aspen. He'll be coming by tomorrow morning."

" No. He's back from Aspen. Like I meet him this morning. I thought that he was be here."

I was shocked to hear it. Anna gestured me to be clam and handle it maturely. But I was too sick to say something.

" Actually Amelia Steve is busy planning something for our birthday girl." Anna exclaimed.

" Ok. That's so cool."

We all talked about high school and exams which were next month. And fortunately there was no topic related to Steve.

" When are your parents coming back Maya?"

" Actually Noah there are coming on Saturday."

" Ok. It's fine. Don't be sad as we are gonna have a blast."

" Yes. I love you guys."

" And we all love you too."

After some time Camellia left. Noah too had to leave by eleven as his dad was home. I asked Anna, Tessa, Steph and Amelia to stay over. But Tessa and Steph had to go as they had been grounded by there parents and we're just allowed to come to my party.

Amelia even said that I had to reach home before twelve as her parents won't allow a stay over. And I didn't even said anything to her as I was pissed off from both her and Steve.

At least Anna was there with me.

" Cheer up bro. It's your birthday eve."

" You know Amelia lied. Her parents will never ever say no to her to stay at my house."

" Maybe she had some work. "

" I don't know. It all seems like a triangle situation. And why the hell didn't Steve told me that he's back and instead of me he meet Amelia."

" Relax. It would have been a coincidence as why will she tell you that she meet him."

" Yes. I think you are right."

" Now stop over thinking. As its just 5 minutes to your 18th birthday. And I have a surprise for you. "

" And whats the surprise? "

" It's a surprise. Why will I tell you. Ok let's countdown. Ten, nine....."

" Five, four, three, two, one. "

And my door bell rang. And soon as the opened the door there were flowers and balloons all over.

" Surprise." Anna shouted.
