CHAPTER ONE

Yumi POV "Yumi here!" I turned to the one who shouted my name

Tss. It's Reika, my best friend, with her Lance is also one of my friends.

I approached them

They smiled at me, so I smiled back

"Are you okay?" Reika asked me

I lost my smiles and replaced them seriously.

"Yeah, do I look like I'm not okay?" I answered

"Hmm, Maybe?"

I looked at her with my confused look

"You used to smile, but your eyes are sad" Lance explained

I look at them and smiled.

"I'm really okay" I said

I left in front of them and started going to the classroom.

I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Empress Yumi So, Half Korean and Half Filipina, 15 years old. Studying at Levinton Academy, 4th year high school.

I went straight to my seat and looked at the time on my cellphone.

Tss. I still have an hour so I got up again and left the classroom and then hung out in our corridor.

Our classroom is on the second floor so I can see my fellow students walking.

I looked at them, they're smiling. I wish I can be that person again ..

"You're crying" I turned to the one handing me the handkerchief.

It's Lance, I almost forgot that our classroom is just next door.

"N-no, I-Im not" I told him

"Yes you are, mind to tell me what's your problem?" why is he ugly?

"Why are you so naughty, I already said nothing ?!" I shouted at him

Shocked is written all over his face. I was even surprised by what I did. I ran into our classroom.

I looked outside and saw him looking at me, worried is written all over his face. But when he saw me looking at him, he averted his eyes and left where he was standing.

Did I upset him? Even though I was surprised by what I did, for 2 years we were best friends and now I just shouted at him.

Until the end of the class, my brain was still floating.

"Yumi" I turned around, it's Reika

"Uh?" I have nothing to say, because I am confused

"Lance?" he asked

"I think they are still in the classroom" I replied

I packed up my things and carried my bag

"I'm going now, please tell me I will not keep up" I said and left

Usually the three of us go home at the same time but now I'm going alone.
