Chapter 7: Base

"You came here parading the kraken that you killed, just to show your power, no?" the king said.

"That's right" 

"What kind of deal are we talking about?"

"Spot on, as expected of his majesty, I want that territory to be mine."

"You want to be a noble?"

"Oh, no way, I want that territory mine alone; I'll cut the chase; I will be making that territory; you can say a small country for you to understand."

"A small country, huh? And what do we get from that?"

"Of course, a deal wouldn't become a deal if both sides aren't equal; we'll allow you to trade with us that we can't trade with others; here's our sample," Siah showed his products.

It consists of fine salt, sugar, silk that is far better than what the king is wearing, glass, and lastly, a rifle, of course not the same as theirs.

"That weapon... it's the same as what your troops are holding. Are you sure about giving us your secret?"

"Giving you something valuable only means one thing, your majesty, and that is alliance. I want to be friends with you; making everyone an enemy isn't my thing," Siah said as he smiled.

The king smiled and laughed, "Of course! Of course! We'll take that deal!" The negotiations went well.

It's a win-win for both of them; the land where Siah wants to take is just next to the empire's; the kraken is making it a border for them; also, the capital is far from the land, about 500km away, and making him guard that border.

Basically, the king is in favor here other than Siah...

Siah and his team manage to get back from their new land; all of the materials to build their base are from the system, of course, but this time, the people are building it.

After a week, they sent their ambassadors to establish diplomatic relations between the two countries. It was a good choice that Fuku trained them with all the jobs needed to build a country.

The group is divided into two. Fuku, where most of the members are, is making their base, and while at it, he's also going around not only the country but the empire as well, looking for new members.

On the other hand, Siah has Mae and her team, his personal bodyguards; it consists of 12 members, and Mae is the only female who manages to pass becoming his personal bodyguard; not only that, she's their leader.

Siah is going around guild after guild to fight strong monsters for points; not only that, he's also spreading his name throughout the country and making many guilds agree to his power to become an adamantite adventurer.

Currently, he has nine guild masters approved by him; since the Kraken incident, all the guild masters from that kingdom agree.

Now he's currently at a guild in the empire, accepting the quest of fighting the cyclops.

This is a one-eyed giant who lives in the mountains. If I were to see them, I would describe the cyclopes as huge, muscular, and hairy creatures with a single eye in the middle of their forehead. Their eyes are round and large and can glow in different colors depending on their mood or activity. Their eye is also their most vulnerable spot, as it can be easily injured or blinded.

The cyclopes have a wide mouth with sharp teeth and a flat nose. They have long arms and legs and big hands and feet. They wear simple clothes made of animal skins or furs and sometimes carry weapons such as clubs or spears.

The cyclopes are not very intelligent, but they have great strength and skill in crafting. They can forge powerful weapons and build massive structures with their hands. They are also very loyal to their friends and allies.

The cyclopes are not very friendly to strangers and often attack or eat them. They live in isolated places, such as mountains, islands, or caves. They have no respect for the gods. They are also very proud and stubborn, and they do not like to be tricked or mocked.

Their height is about 15 to 30 feet.

The plan isn't to kill them, but instead to capture them. They are good at building and crafting, so having them help build our base will be a great help.

Using air vehicles, they went towards the mountain where the cyclopes live, using speakers while still on the attack helicopters.

"Cyclopes! Listen! We like you to join us." Before even finishing Siah's speech, a giant rock came flying towards them, and before they could hit them, Aciah put it inside the item box.

"I thought so, so you chose the hard way, huh? Do it."

They then shoot sleeping smoke—enough to make a giant like them sleep. Lucky for them to have a system; without it, they are nothing.

The smoke covered the entire mountains. Minutes passed, and Siah's team scouted the mountains. There, they found dozens of them lying around, sleeping.

Using advanced technology, they handcuff their hands while they are asleep. While handcuffing them, suddenly, they were attacked by a cyclope. He looks so manly and has strong dedication. To be able to stay awake after all that sleeping smoke is something.

"You, humans! You always take everything from us!" He said while swinging his spear. "Calm down!" said Siah with the speaker while looking at the cyclops on the attack helicopter.

"We are not going to hurt you! Listen to us!"

The cyclope laughs, "HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!! Bullshit! We are not going to repeat our same mistake again! That guy said it to! But in the end, they only used us for their own greed!"

"That guy? Talking to him won't take us anywhere; he's already traumatized. Shoot him," Siah said to his radio connected to his companions.

"Got it," Mae replied, "shoot him!" She ordered, and all of them shot sleeping smoke at his face.

"Damn you! Hu...ma..ns!" He said and fell asleep.

Siah then took out the CH-47 Chinook from his item box. The CH-47 Chinook will carry these cyclopes towards their new base; those who fit inside will be put inside, while those who don't fit will be carried by ropes while their attack helicopters are scouting them.

Flying over the empire's town, where they accept the quest of taking down the cyclopes, they make it a prof that they take it down.

Rumors, of course, spread like wildfire through the empire.

One attacked helicopter went down the town, where they accepted the request to take down the cyclopes. In there, they had a driver, Mae, and Siah.

The town people gathered and looked at the attack helicopter, being cautious and not getting close, as that is the beast that took down the cyclopes.

Mae and Siah got inside the guild, and adventurers are looking at them, either with fearful or inspiring eyes.

The receptionist leads them towards the guild master's office. They get inside, and there the guild master is waiting for them.

"To think that those guild masters in the Lara kingdom are really speaking the truth, I thought they only agreed because they fear the king."

Kingdom of Lara: It's where the kingdom is in the middle of the empire in the west, the republic in the east, the demon forest on the south, and the entire sea on the north. The kingdom of Lara is famous for their navy, as their entire country is filled with oceans.

The place where Siah takes place is in the northwest, at the border of the kingdom of Lara and the empire. The thing that separates them is the Kraken. They tried to kill it, but the empire sneaked an attack on them while their navy was busy.

That's the reason why they didn't kill the kraken; now, Siah is in between the empire and the kingdom.

"I don't want to talk about politics, but that still questions me: why is the so great Siah didn't notice that they are between the two nations that are currently fighting?"

"Don't worry, as a member of the guild, I won't do anything to hurt the reputation of the guild."

"You won't talk, huh? Well, I didn't expect you to anyway. Anyways, I approve. The guild masters will send a letter to the main guild and wait for the higher-ups to respond. By then, you can do whatever you want."

While those two are talking, there's a female with white hair and a black outfit. She has a sword and a cloak as accessories. She looks like a warrior or an assassin. She has a serious and confident expression on her face. She seems to be a strong and skilled fighter.

She's staring at the fighter helicopter very closely; they are just one step apart. The pilot of the helicopter talks to her. "Ma'am, this is a private vehicle; you can't go any closer," he said, but the girl is just there, staring around the helicopter, looking around.

Mae and Siah got out of the guild and saw what was going on. "Ma'am, please step aside; this is my last warning; if you get any closer, I will shoot," the soldier said while keeping his calm but ready to fire as he was holding his rifle but not pointing at her.

Mae and Siah got closer. "What's going on here?" Mae asked.

"Captain, this lady wouldn't want to listen to me; I've given her her third warning, yet she's still too close to the vehicle."

"I see..." Mae approaches the girl. "Ma'am, I know that you've never seen something like this before, but believe me, you wouldn't want to." Before Mae can finish, the girl is suddenly in front of Siah. Both Mae and the pilot are pointing their rifles at the girl.

"Are you Siah? The rumored man who massacred an entire horde and killed the kraken?" She said while being so close to him.

Aciah signals them to stand by. "Yeah? Why is that?" Siah and her are just the same height.

"I want to request something from you."

"Oh, what is that?"

"I want you to kill a certain monster."

"And what do I get from doing that?"

She then placed her hand on her chest, "my body," and then stripped her clothes in just seconds.

"Wh-what are you doing you pervert!" Mae said.

"I'm the princess of our small nation, the most beautiful and strongest; if you defeat the monster, I will."

Siah smiled and said, "Mae, cover her up." Mae immediately rushed towards them and covered her up with her cloak.

"I will kill the monster you are talking about, but only if you have a true reward for me," Siah said as she walked past her and got inside the fighter helicopter.

"I may say, you're quite bold to strip in public like that, and I will accept your request, but only if you give me a reasonable reward. You can find me in the Lara kingdom; see you there."

Siah said, and they left. She's there, standing, watching them take off.

She then smiled a little and said, "What an interesting man you are."

"What is that girl thinking about stripping in front of Siah? Grrrr! This is frustrating! She has no right to do indecent things like that!" Mae said, frustrated by what happened.

In the entire trip towards the base, Mae is just talking nonstop, and none of them speak a word other than her.

Finally, they manage to get back, and she's still speaking.

"Aughg! Damn that girl!"

Siah spoke to the pilot, "Get her something to eat; I'll go to Fuku; let her calm down."

"Yes sir!" 

They landed on the ground that has been cleared; the entire forest around the sea has been cut down, and they use the land as a temporary base as they are still building their base.

Siah went to Fuku, who is currently telling the cyclopes what to do: "Oh, I never thought you'd put some sense into them."

"Well, Cyclopes and the Black Dragon have some connections in the past dealing with the hero."

"So 'that guy' that they were saying earlier was the hero, huh?"

"Yes, the hero saved them, but when he disappeared, the corrupt government enslaved them because they wouldn't listen to what they were saying."

"That's some harsh background; well, I wouldn't blame them for how they acted earlier."

The two of them start walking around the area. "So how was everything going?" Siah asked.

"The construction of the base is proceeding smoothly; more and more people are being transported here; we're more than 5000+ people; the base will be finished in a month with the cyclopes with us."

"That's good to hear."

The two of them are standing in front of the giant castle they are building. What they are building is a floating castle.
