*Clang*

Clashing sounds of metal and might coursed through the former remains of the Branwen Tribe as it was burned down to the ground with Hanami the second strongest of Cursed Spirits born to the world of Remnant.

*Swoosh*

Twirling herself back Raven glared hatefully against Hanami as he took on a fighter stance with one arm as he spoke coldly to Raven, "Heheh… Tell me little bird do you want to know what we are?"

Raven clearly took on a fighting stance as the blow was easily reflected off Hanami's body as she glares at him as well as analyzed circling around him as he continues, "We are Curses… the literal embodiment of Hate incarnate. We are more or less prey to Grimm. But you would know all of that now wouldn't little bird."

Raven's eyes shined brightly catching Hanami's attention as he began to talk to her about his skill, "Tell me Raven… do you want to know how I killed these animals? Well…"

She just narrows her eyes at Hanami as the rest of the tribe members began to flee the area seeing that they can't help their chief Raven thinks to herself, 'What the hell am I dealing with here? It clearly a Grimm but – '

*BRR*

Hanami brightens up his Cursed Energy catching Raven by surprise at the number of negative emotions Hanami is producing as he talks to Raven casually but still in a cold tone, "My power is Cursed Energy. Or to be specific my Innate Cursed Disaster Plants."

Raven paused briefly at what Hanami is doing as she questions herself what he was talking about as he continues to ramble, 'What the hell is this thing talking about? Why is he so casual letting me know his abilities?'

But the more Raven thought the more she smirked under her mask thinking of how much of a fool Hanami was doing explaining his attacks, 'Fool what kind of idiot will willingly allow their enemy to know their techniques? When its done I'll kill him.'

However, Raven was unaware of Binding Vows when Sorcerers self-imposed on them to follow.

As a product of negative emotions, cursed energy responds to the desires of its individual user.

As a result, the user can increase the power of their cursed energy by stating a self-imposed "Cursed Restriction" that creates riskier conditions to use their abilities.

Hanami next further explained his powers to Raven as she thought Hanami a fool for talking in a fight, "My Cursed Technique Disaster Plants allows me to manifest the illusions of cursed plants into reality. While I appear to be manipulating it cursed energy, in truth actually creating the cursed plants I control with cursed energy. Any plant or wood attack can be erased from reality just as quickly as it's manifested."

"YOU'RE DONE!"

*Snap… crack… rumble…*

Just as Raven rushed towards Hanami with her maiden powers conjuring a sword elementalized out of crystal lightning Dust she intended to rush towards but hesitated slightly as she felt a sudden increase of negative emotions and greater power of Hanami Cursed Energy sky rocketing creating pressure causing Raven to flinch.

It was all a part of Hanami Binding Vow of himself as plants suddenly manifested readily to pounce Raven as all aimed to fatal as they suddenly appear out of thin air.

Showing One's Cards is Hanami Binding Vow.

A commonly used Binding Vow by many jujutsu practitioners. By divulging how his cursed technique works, Hanami can increase the effectiveness of his technique and Cursed Energy as well as mislead his opponents on how it works.

"Ahh!"

*Fwoosh*

Quickly adapting to the sudden appearance of wood intending to pierce her she managed to use her katana to hit it and used the momentum to gracefully fly back away from the attack as Hanami made him click his teeth.

Rushing towards Raven at breakneck speed as she follows him coming closer to her she began to counter using her katana backside to take the blow as a shockwave was created from the encounter.

*BOOM*

Causing a shockwave from the attack Raven used the moment to attack by twirling her sword redirecting the fist enough to make Hanami stagger a bit but not before he spoke explaining his next attack, "Roots… this move can create roots that emerge from the ground. When I limit the reach and number of roots, their power, and speed increase. Vise versa, I can greatly expand the number of roots and their range by sacrificing speed and destructive power."

Raven's eyes widen again as Hanami's Cursed Energy increased again as he cruelly smirked at her reaction.

Suddenly as he says so interrupting Raven's attack in motion she instead attacked the roots suddenly coming off the ground as if was intending to stab through her body as more roots or wood came rising off the ground catching her sword Omen in the wood.

Seeing the chance Hanami explained his next move as he talks waving his hand towards her direction as he does so flowers began to appear in Raven's direction, "Flower Field. I create a circle of flowers around my opponents that distract them with a curse that takes away their desire to fight. Flower Field can be weakened depending on my injuries."

*Fwoosh*

As Hanami finished his words the flowers began to rapidly expand in Raven's direction growing from the roots of wood already in place surrounding the whole remaining Branwen Tribe Camp that was a horrifying scene turned into a garden paradise.

Raven being inflicted by the flowers began to lose her senses and her will to fight…

Her eyes began to fade out like she was used to it…

But…

A quick vision of Yang crying over her grave flashed over her mind.

Her eyes widen in the realization of danger as she began to summon forth fire magic using her Spring Maiden as fire erupted from her body as she screams out, "GET AWAY FROM ME…!"

*BRRR*

Raven glances at the incoming Roots and wood coming from the ground as her senses of a Huntress and danger sense kicked as she launched a torrent of flames surrounding the fires causing it to burn it all down as Hanami frowns at this.

*Shiii*

Turning off his plants as they instantly disappeared from sight only the scenes of the burning camp were in the air Raven catches her breath as Hanami spoke, "Magic… So that's how it works with Cursed Energy I see. They certainly clash fiercely."

Grunting at Hanami as she summons up another elementalized blade in the shape of an overly sized katana getting into her stance as Hanami shakes his head at this while he speaks, "So this is a power of a Maiden correct? I'm not impressed."

Raven grits her teeth hearing the words coming off from Hanami's mouth as she began to think to herself as a chill of fear ran down her spine, 'What the hell is this thing…! To be able to increase attacks and speed by explaining his moves? What kind of monster am I facing here…! Damn it!!'

"I think I'm done playing."

"What?"

Raven couldn't help but hear what Hanami said as he began to place his only arm in a prayer-like position as he spoke to Raven coldly, "Know this bird. If you survive this or escape… it is nowhere safe for you to ever hide from me. Mother nature's wrath, as well as others you condemned for your foolish ideals, shall have no right to exist."

Laughing a bit to himself Hanami thanked Raven for the opportunity that presented itself as he spoke with respect, "Although I never had the chance to use it. I thank thy Raven Branwen for me to allow me to have this much power over my cursed technique to make this all possible."

"Pray in the next life in the ground to be reborn anew."

"Feel the awe and fear of natural disaster of mother nature."

"Maximum Technique: Deep Forest Emergence."

*RUMBLE*

Like that Raven's eyes widen as the very trees and life force of the very plants and life itself began to erupt when Hanami said these very words taking a praying stance with his one arm as the very earth began to rise up.

Raven felt the aura of the very trees sprouting up almost instantly as fear came over her heart feeling the auras of nature around them.

Hateful and spite…

But incredibly raw in power dwarfing hers as she shakes out of pure instinctual fear of the wrath of nature coming.

'I can't beat this…!'

Those were her thoughts when she felt the brunt force of the Cursed Energy of Hanami Maximum Technique.

Maximum Techniques are an innate technique's most supreme art. They are the most powerful attacks a cursed technique can perform outside of Domain Expansion.

Hanami wouldn't have been able to use this move yet till a few more months but thanks to his Binding Vow and explaining his techniques he was able to pull off his Maximum Technique thanks to him explaining to Raven.

Trying to run away as fear gripped her heart she used her Spring Maiden powers to get away from the branches coming toward her.

The trees' life force is immense enough to split the earth as they sprout and further pierce through any other obstructions they encounter. This growth is also fast enough that it can capture targets before they have a chance to escape.

*Swoosh*

When she turned around she saw that she was already trapped inside…

*CLUNCH*

Hanami began to raise his fist as he made it close instantly following the branches containing Raven doing a similar motion…

"CRUNCH!"

Crunching sounds of the trees compressing within the trying to crush raven as splinters and pieces of the trees show they were crushed but Hanami merely frown seeing the lack of blood or organs showing as he then began to slowly open the pod that compressed intending to kill Raven was empty.

Placing his hand over his head as he shakes his head he began to mutter to himself embarrassed at his blunder, "Great… I see the bird is more suited to run away. Well…"

Grinning ever so slightly as he began to turn his directions to the running bandits he smirked sadistically at their direction finishing up his sentence.

"My work is not done yet."

"Time to clip the whole nest of bird wings…"

*Thud*

Elsewhere a red portal opens slightly showing Raven falling down with signs of a broken arm and leg twisted in the wrong places beyond repair on a clockwork floor showing a surprised Qrow and Tai as she pleads helplessly for help.

"Help...."

As Raven finally fell down while the two men tried to get her there was a tint of blue and black energy coming off...

But no one seemed to have noticed...
