~Weiss POV~

'It figures that a Schnee would be the last one standing, letting all her friends die first.'

Shaking and waking myself up I remembered a few things but…

"WINTER!!!"

Getting myself up I looked around myself as I began to see myself to be found in some kind of… island…

*Thud*

Getting surprised I see… Jaune Arc?

My eyes widen a bit but not before long I see that his weapons are busted and destroyed I glanced around myself as I smile in relief knowing I'm armed and my personal weapon is safe along with the spare.

If Jaune and I somehow made it here…

Glancing at the sky I began to see where somewhere else but…

Then my team might be alive!

Smiling a bit I got two of my weapons and got used to having my Myrtenaster by my side but also give Gambol Shroud to Jaune for now seeing his sword is no longer going to be of any use at least he has his shield.

But still, this island does feel familiar as I went over to Jaune.

Taking a look at him he seems to be knocked out cold as I sigh my breath dragging him around for now.

After how we failed to stop Cinder I have to think a bit more about what to do next and find any civilization nearby.

I need some time to think about what exactly happened to us.

Splashing some sand on him Jaune began to wake up spitting out the dirt as well as he began to cough up, "Cough! Cough! What the heck… Weiss is that you?! I thought you were dead when you fell off the edge!"

Glad to see barf boy is still working as I smiled at him as I offer my hand as he took it getting himself up, "Yeah. You aren't the only one who's confused by this but it looks like we fell into the void. But if we are here…"

Jaune's eyes widen at this as he realized the same idea I had as I hear him finish my words, "… then the rest of them are here… Ruby, Yang, and Blake…"

However, he then widens his eyes in horror as he mouthed off another person I would live to not see again, "And her… Neo…"

Gritting my teeth at her I shook it off for now because we have our own issues to deal with as I hand Jaune Gambol Shroud katana as his sword is busted, "Here you would need this. Good thing you have your shield same can't be said for your sword Jaune…"

He looks at his broken sword and frowns at it before shaking his head off as he places it into its sheath as he spoke to me calmly, "Yeah… it broke against Cinder… but it can be remade again. Like the armor. I'll get it properly prepared next time but for now – "

Hearing growling sounds I have my weapon at the ready as did Jaune with Gambol Shroud katana as we see – hey…

My eyes widen at this as did Jaune as we see the Grimm walking off away as he spoke to me, "Hey… wasn't that Grimm only made by him?"

Taking a look at the island this should be a red flag.

This must be the work of Merlot.

Only he can create a group of Grimm that have been genetically modified to be superior to even Alpha Grimm in every way.

They possess powers like exploding and creating waves of crystal-like bone spikes. Unlike all other Grimm, their eyes, markings, and inside of their bodies were green instead of red. Their spikes took on an appearance similar to glowing green crystals.

With a large laboratory complex along with the land covered with pipes, cameras, and computer screens.

The island had multiple radio towers, allowing those on the island to connect to the CCT. The island had many metal fences. The island also had big wooden stakes planted into the ground.

But viewing around from a high point my eyes widen but soon smirked as I spoke to Jaune, "Looks like we have our escape Arc. And it's through taking the ship from his dock."

The outside of the island also had a dock as well as many crates and barrels.

And viewing everything thus far has led me to believe we're back to this disgusting island led by the crazy mad scientist Dr. Merlot.

The island is populated by Grimm, Merlot's mutant Grimm, and his security robots. The island naturally produced a mysterious radioactive substance that Merlot used for his mutating serum.

Many of these toxic pools had pipes that collected the ooze and sent it to the laboratory complex. The terrain of the island was mainly sandy with the plant life being similar to that which was found in deserts.

Yeah, I certainly remember all of this…

Right before we all had to face the Vytal Festival as well.

As much as I would like to capture Merlot this time I'm afraid we have better things to do and that's escaping from here.

When we find my teammates is when we can return and finish as well as capture the mad man for good.

Motioning over to Jaune to follow me we had work to do.

Escape the island and return to Vale if there is one or any civilization to see what happened.

Eating some of the White Fang food dinners I was already seated at the table with Blake and Adam as we talked about the progression of their training as well as their current updates about their plans.

We talked and joked around here and there.

That was when Adam gave me the big news with the other White Fang grunts eating and talking as he spoke, "Yeah. Starting tomorrow I become the Captain Vale branch starting tomorrow as the current one gave me the green light. Thanks to you and Blake work they managed to credit the both of us to be next rank to take care of the White Fang Branch in Vale."

My eyes widen at this as I congratulated the guy as I began to praise him a bit as he was embarrassed about it, "Whoa! Adam congratulation on your promotion. I bet it will make things easier or harder for you in the future and you two as well Vice Captain of Vale Blake."

She scoffs at that as she replied in a thankful manner of them praising their work, "None taken. It was thanks to you that the White Fang is getting credit for your help against the assassins in Vale as well as major takedown in crime in Vale. That alone got us credits to rise through the ranks."

Shaking my head at them they are being modest but that was when Adam replied to that as he shook his head a bit, "Yeah. It would've taken me and Blake a few more months or possibly a year to raise through the ranks. The info of the Upper Class in Vale certainly helped pressure some legal reforms and blackmails. Thanks to you Albus we managed to jump ahead thanks to your exploits although I was wondering if you have any problems with that?"

Shaking my head I didn't see an issue with not taking credit within the White Fang group.

I voiced out what I thought to my friends as I smirked a bit being chill about the whole thing, "Nah man. If it's to help you guys out, then no biggie. Plus, the training has been rather helpful to my cause so no big deal."

That was when Blake remembered something as she began to talk to me giving me the green light as I smile hearing the news, "Oh yeah. That's right I almost forgot. Albus, my father got you the green light to visit Menagerie. Thanks to spreading your name and getting good PR with the people in Vale with some White Fang support the elders living in Menagerie gave you the go-ahead to visit."

Hearing that I smiled at the news.

Finally, I get to visit Menagerie the home of the Faunus.

When I get there, I'll absolutely revolutionize the shit out of it.

Got some ideas I want to play around with as well.

Getting up from my seat for the night I might as well as mess with Adam for a bit before I spoke to him seriously, "Well then. Guess I have some stuff to pack in Vale before heading to Menagerie. Well then before I go Adam one quick word it's absolutely serious."

Hearing that he tensed a bit as well as the other members listening in as he held his hands on the table together getting serious, "Ok… what do you want to tell me…"

Having no sense of shame I asked a question that everyone was able to hear.

"Tell me… are you an ass man or a boobs man?"

Everyone was completely dumbfounded as a few respected men of culture waited for the answer I managed to step away knowing what was going to happen as his fingers twitched at the hilt of his sword in irritation while Blake stood there blushing at my blatant question, "I see someone is in need of more painful training… and probably need his head knocked out multiple times. Don't worry Albus... I hear pain is the best remedy for your stupidity."

Using the ancient family technique to defeat this foe was simple…

Like that, I ran as Adam has his katana out wanting to possibly kill me as the rest of the grunts laugh seeing the scene while some of them sigh never getting the answer.

It was to boost morale and to get some humor out of this.

But if I were the one to ask it would be simple.

Both.

There is no right or wrong just be greedy and choose them all.
