Chapter 20: Wasted Stone

~Third POV~

A certain someone in her own throne room watched the events happening on that day.

"FURA!"

Viewing the attack of pure magic the Grimm was shocked but none more so than what else was watching the Nuckelavee through its eyes as she narrowed her eyes at him.

A deathly pallor, with jet black sclerae in her eyes and glowing crimson irises that shine brighter when she is agitated. While she initially retained her half-bun hairstyle for her now bleached, pale white hair, she has since re-styled it into a larger bun with six offshoots wrapped together that also suspends several obsidian-colored ornaments. She has since grown dark purple veins that line her face and arms, and now has a black diamond-shaped marking in the center of her forehead.

She wears a very long, short-sleeved black robe that obscures her feet and partially drags across the ground, with its distinctive feature being a curved high collar with dark red trim bordering the outer edge of a narrow window exposing her bust in a vertical ellipsis resembling an eye and completed with a long shawl emblazoned with three interconnected, maroon-colored vertical elliptic sigils resembling a trio of overseeing eyes above a series of maroon-colored diamond emblems. She also wears a ring resembling a Beetle on her right hand, which now has longer fingernails with jet-black nail polish.

This person is Salem the supposed master of Grimm as her eyes seeing the fight fascinated her, "Interesting… Fura was what he called it correct? Never heard of that spell before?"

Salem's eyes shined with fascination witnessing the spell firsthand killing the Nuckelavee Grimm in two as she was also took a look of the shining red light, "And that item he carries in his hand? From the way he used it reminds me of how Huntsman uses their aura but no… what it feels seems to be primal in nature."

Lifting her hand over her face Salem expressed an intrigued expression on her face seeing the boy's face through the Nuckelavee as she noticed his eye, "Very peculiar? Is that the Semblance of his eye? No…"

Viewing through the Nuckelavee's eyes it seems to Salem's eyes the Ultimate Eye was more than that after she him destroy with some ease as she sighs to herself, "Sigh… regardless it seems to me there is another who can use magic that isn't a Maiden. That is in itself a useful pawn to collect seeing Ozma hasn't recruited him yet."

A soft laugh escaped her mouth as she began to analyze the situation before finally replying to what she needed to do, "I need this person on my side or destroy him. Better to send Hazel to for this mission to collect this person."

Like that Salem has already begun to plan out her next course immediately sending her pawns to collect a new one.

~Albus POV~

"Ahh~"

Moaning or yawning from sleeping on a clean bed as I manage to wake myself up from the tiring fight against my little pony nightmare edition I began to stretch my muscles feeling some joints popping.

Oh…

*Pop*

That feels much better.

Once I was done stretching I reached for my bag and got one of my rations as I plan to go ahead towards Mistral City but before that, I need to make a small quick stop first.

The Nuckelavee cave.

Glancing outside and using my enhanced abilities on my Ultimate Eye I can see further than most to try and locate it.

There.

Found the place and…

It was merely filled with weapons from long past villages that fought against the Grimm in question.

I might be able to refine some of them through alchemy and practice to create some finer weapons.

Sure the katana sword is good to have on hand but…

Could find some interesting weapons.

Like that, I began to head towards the area and of course, avoid any Grimm in the area as I began to sprint my way towards the area as I go towards to loot the place.

Rushing past the forest and tree pathways I hurried along from what I can recall from the show showed a cave leading there with winds in the area as I began to hurry along since I don't want to stay more than necessary.

Avoiding the areas of Grimm and monsters I finally reach the cliffside of the mountain as I stare at it before sighing at this, "Sigh… I'm gonna have to climb this don't I? Welp. Not like I have anything better to do."

No use complaining as I began to climb the rocks of the cliff side of where I saw the entrance to the cave I move upwards like a spider to get more moveability.

Hey, a spider huh?

Maybe I should go with a Spider Chimera to add to myself to go for the Spider-Man power set and the Spider-Sense since Marvel seems to have the right idea that foretells me of any danger beforehand.

Then again what exactly would happen if I did do that?

Would I gain all the characteristics of the spider including cannibalism in the process or more limbs?

Hmm…

Maybe I'll put that on the shelf for the time being but definitely something to consider in the future.

As I scale upward to the mountain cliffside I finally saw where the cave was I scale through the side till I finally reach a safe point to stand on and follow the edges trails towards the cave seeing some wind as the leaves move around them.

Good.

Finally making my way to the entrance of the cave and inside of it, I saw black smudges that could be mistaken for as blood I soon found myself at the place where Ren and Nora found the flag of Shion.

"Jackpot."

Weapons as far as the eye can see.

Swords, spears, hammers, katanas, and arrows.

Every Isekaied person needs of getting a weapon-free of charge with some black smudges here and there but what isn't for some issues. Nothing in life is free and they are sometimes caught in some unbelievable cost.

But right now I began inspecting the whole weapons as there were few in the show but that is to be expected considering Ren and Nora found it in few more years than the current times so this was a given.

Examining the blades of each area and holding the philosopher stone in my hand I wonder what I can do to make these weapons good for me in the long run of things.

Remembering what I can about the show of how they use the stone they always made it with the expressive purpose of boosting the alchemic properties of the alchemy of what they used in the show.

Even Cornello who used the stone power without having much faith in Alchemy was able to create life out of nothing in the original and completely ignore the law using the stone power as I hold it.

Also, I think I may have forgotten another key fact about the stone is that it can change the items of inorganic items into organic items.

Cornello and his lack of knowledge of alchemy meant he couldn't heal his arm from the rebound, which would serve as proof of his trickery.

Hmm…

I wonder if I'm using it correctly using the stone.

Holding it lightly as I see it shine brightly I wonder what else can I do with this stone or rather what exactly can I recreate with the stone to help me further my progress.

But the real question though can I recreate any plant to my knowledge from nothing?

If it does then this certainly brings a lot of things to the table but at the same time not really.

It all depends on the FMA version of things or my own and me having this stone would be too wasteful unless spent on something worthwhile.

Red sparks soon spread around me as I felt some changes in my body begin to occur I finally decided to go with this option.

Unlocking all my Gates affinities with the other magic ability.

While having Wind Magic is good I want to be at least able to have variety and master all the spells for them.

Wasteful I know and some would say impossible if they didn't know it's related to the body.

How I know is because I am an anime fan and I know my source info.

Capella Emerada Lugnica is a Sin Archbishop of the Witch Cult, representing Lust with a unique ability called Variation and Change.

Capella is shown to be able to transform herself or others into various beings. Her self-transformations include modifying her body parts by adding wings or claws, or a strong black dragon.

She has repeatedly been shown to have transformed others into various animals such as flies, frogs, birds, beasts or even into unrecognizable lumps of flesh without any of the five senses or self-awareness by simply touching them with her hand.

But the main fact here is that when she changes into someone or specifically her own Gate she unknowingly modifies it.

When she assumes a different form, her 'Gate' changes as well.

And if I were to use the Philosopher Stone to deconstruct my Gate and reconstruct with other forms to the perfection of how I wanted it with it unlocking all the magic forms…

Huh?

Seeing the red liquid of the stone contained now vanished I guess I used up all the power from it as this was disappointing but I smirked when I began to channel my Mana.

Whoa…

I just deconstructed and reconstructed it to be bigger for me to hold in more Mana than I can handle as I felt a change in my body for sure.

Raising my arm and hand towards the entrance of the cave I began to say the magic spell as I envision them in my head through my Gate then into reality through my hands as I felt the Mana coursing through me surge up at the palm of the direction of my hand.

"Goa!"

*BRR*

Just like I imagined how the spell would react I envision the Goa Spell pointing at my hand away from me as I tried to picture me manifesting a blaze of fire to incinerate my foes.

Ok, I like the new changes about this.

"Fura!"

*SWOOSH*

A wind blade was formed as it cut up to the sky I felt my mana reserves drain quickly at that but not as bad as before as I realized what happened, "Damn. The Stone only did is reconstruct my Gate to make me more able to hold more Mana reserves and changed my affinity."

Wait if I was able to use fire, water, wind, earth, yin and yang magic…

Fuck…

I just realized I could've given myself Magic Circuits from Fate or Origins from Fairy Tail in my body to be able to use more magic but I wasted it on my Gate to get all the affinities of magic instead.

Real shame how I wasted a Stone like that.

No, I could've gone and given myself a Quirk from MHA for added bonus superpower or something else entirely…

Damn it I'm a dumbass for not using it wisely.

Welp…

No use complaining over spilled milk over it like this.

But hey I have a bigger increase to my Gate for me to use Mana and bigger versatility to my magic.

Shameful but can't blame a guy for trying at least.

But on the bright side, I might have enough Mana to attempt a Mana Burst from FATE or mimic it in the future so not all bad.

Shaking my head for a bit though I began to look around the place to find a better weapon around here or a side weapon like a knife of sorts for me to use.

Now let's see….
