CHAPTER 20 – Cult, Rescue, and Red-Haired Girl

"It seems that the village was attacked by…" what is it called again… oh that's right. "[Cult of Zeref]" I continued.

""WHAT?!""

"What do you mean, Yato?" – Diablo.

"Here, see for yourself…" I said while snapping my fingers.

*snaps*

Suddenly, in the middle of the dining table, a holographic video appeared showing the village of Rosemary. The burning wooden houses, the captured villagers, and the mages wearing black robes as shown by Kami-sama in the [Meeting Room].

"?!"

The others were surprised to see the state of Rosemary's village being attacked by the black-robed people.

The old cheerful mood was gone and all that was left was an eerie silence.

"Nii-san, we have to help the villagers now." Touya exclaimed.

"That's right, we have to teach these idiots a lesson for daring to attack when the Maou is here." – Diablo.

"After all, isn't defeating them our mission?" –Rimuru.

"…Mn, whatever, do your preparation." I say. 'looks like the dark mages have no intention of killing the villagers... or maybe, not yet.'

In a short time, not even a minute, we all got ready and put on the battle gear. The five of us gathered in the living room which was on the first floor again.

"Are you guys ready?"

""""YES""""

When I heard their answer, I stomped my foot twice and a giant dark purple magic circle appeared that covered everyone.

*Tap* *Tap*

"Whoa." –Kazuma.

The magic circle brightened and our eyes suddenly changed. We teleported to the front of Rosemary village. What we saw were the burning village and the villagers running from the black-robed mage. We even heard the screams of the residents and their cries of sorrow.

"Let's go." I say.

Yato and the others directly entered the village side by side which attracted the attention of the villagers and black mages. Since this village was so small, Yato's group immediately became the center of attention.

"Who are you ?!" –Random mage.

"Those should be our words… who are you to make such a fuss in front of this Maou!" —Diablo started to speak in a dignified tone, it seemed he had entered Maou mode.

"Maou? That's an inappropriate nickname… looks like they're Mages, attack them." —Leader Dark Mage.

Suddenly the robed person standing behind the dark mages spoke, 'He may be the leader of the Dark Mages group.' Because he was surrounded by other Mages like a protected person.

Realizing that the one who came was a Mages. Without saying much he immediately ordered the Dark Mages to attack Yato's group, it seemed he was indeed the leader of this group.

Yato just looked from behind and watched the show… with Kazuma who was acting brave, even though he was scared on the inside.

These dark mages numbered quite a lot, they had 27 Dark Mages just to attack a small village like Rosemary village.

With seven peoples left behind, who seemed to be the leader and bodyguards. The other twenty Dark Mages moved around Yato's group.

"Looks like we were belittled…" –Rimuru.

"Fuaah, that's right. Then let's finish quickly" Yato said while yawning 'I want to sleep now...'

""Ou!""

After surrounding Yato's group, the dark magicians began to activate their magic. They started chanting magic and formed a colorful magic circle that was aimed at Yato's group.

Yato and the others started to form a circle and prepared to fight together. This was probably the first time Yato's group had fought together.

Rimuru took out a short Katana from his body or rather Wakizashi. Maybe it was due to adjusting to Rimuru's height.

Kazuma also took out his sword from its scabbard, even though his body was shaking, he could hide it well. Since he acted well and didn't embarrass himself, Yato thought of helping him a little and snapped his fingers to activate his magic.

Yato gave a strengthening Buff to Kazuma.

"Haah, don't overdo it. But, end quickly… go." Yato said while waving his hand.

"Are you underestimating us?!" –Random Dark Mage.

Rimuru and Kazuma immediately ran towards the Dark Mage who was in front of them. The two of them became blurry and appeared behind the dark mage suddenly.

"Kuh!" "Agh!"

Diablo started to raise his wand and point it at the dark mages.

"I am Diablo! Maou from another world. O fools who dare to challenge me, regret your actions in hell!" – Diablo.

"[Wind Magic: Air Shoot]"

A green magic circle formed at the tip of Diablo's wand that aimed at a group of Dark Mages. Then, as if a hurricane had exploded, a blast of air broke out which shattered and blew up a group of Dark Mages.

""Argh""

A group of dark mages was blown up, thrown deep into the forest. Whether alive or dead, no one knows their condition.

On the other hand, Touya took out a handgun with a sword at the tip of the revolver. It was Brunhild, a Gunblade made from dragon horns and metal. It seemed Touya had already met Leen and learned [Null Magic: Program].

Touya aimed his gun and shot the Dark Mage, though not at the vital point.

"Guh!"

"Argh!"

Touya carved the bullet using [Paralyze], thus rendering the person he shot paralyzed and From time to time, Touya used [Null Magic: Slip] on dark mages who were about to complete their spell.

The dark mages cast various [Dark Magic] like [Curse] or something like that. It was just a low-level magic that the others could dodge. Yato only waved occasionally and dispelled the effects of the Dark Mage's magic.

This is just a one-sided fight. Even Yato didn't need to do much and just casually watched the show. However, one thing Yato noticed was that they didn't kill these Dark Mages. Maybe they're not used to it and they're too kind or whatever.

Diablo even had an 'Eh, they're weak?! Or is this magic that strong?! Are they still alive?' after casting his magic.

"H-How is that possible?!" —Leader Dark Mage.

Even a few minutes haven't passed, all the dark mages that attacked Yato's group had been defeated and only seven people remained near the villagers.

Yato and the others regrouped and stared at the leader of the dark mages.

"Hiiii! D-Don't come any closer… or I'll kill them." Said the leader of the dark mages who pointed his hand at the villagers behind him.

His actions stopped Yato's group from moving, it seemed he used his brain and took the villagers hostage. Although it wasn't a big problem for Yato.

"Coward!" –Kazuma shouted while pointing at the leader of the dark mages.

"H-Hahaha, surrender or I will kill them! Get down on your knees and do nothing or they will die!" After gaining his confidence, the leader of the dark mages began to sue Yato's group.

"Dumb." Yato said casually from behind the group.

"Hah? Who said that!" –The leader of the dark mages.

Yato then walked up from behind Diablo and Touya and stood in front of the group. Yato started to stare at the leader of the dark mages and continued talking-

"Do you think your magic is faster than ours?" –Yato.

"HAH?! Are you underestimating me?" –The leader of the dark mages.

"Shall we make a bet?" –Said Yato with a small smile on his face.

"Bet?" –The leader of the dark mages.

"That's right, bet… let's see which one is faster… you cast your magic or we beat you?" –said Yato casually and slightly interested.

"You-" –The leader of the dark mages.

"Let's begin!" before the Dark mage Leader could react, Yato started the bet. After Yato spoke, the five of them immediately took action.

Yato raised his hand towards the Dark mage Leader and activated [Gravity Magic: Telekinesis].

"Kuh! W-What is this! My body can't move! Argh!" –The leader of the dark mages.

Suddenly two blurry shadows moved in the corner of Yato's vision and stopped beside the dark mage who was on the right and left of the villagers.

"W-Wha-"

"Agh!"

It was Rimuru and Kazuma, when they arrived at the dark mage's side, the two dark mages immediately fell down due to their attack. It surprised both the dark mages and the villagers.

Diablo raised his wand and used [Ice Magic: Freezia]. Instantly Diablo's magic instantly froze the two Dark Mages and without the slightest resistance.

Meanwhile, Touya simply aimed Brunhild at the two dark mages and used [Null Magic: Paralyze] which made the remaining two dark mages fall paralyzed and unable to move.

In just two seconds, the remaining dark mages were immediately defeated by Yato's group. Not even a dark mage could react at that time.

"Did you say something earlier?" Yato asked casually to the Dark mage Leader who was floating due to his magic.

"Hey! put me down! D-Don't come any closer!" –The leader of the dark mages.

"Well, it seems pointless talking to you and I don't want to waste any more of my time either."

[Spirit Magic: Nightmare]

Yato just made him fall asleep and released Telekinesis from his body, of course with some nightmare spice.

"Whoa! This cool!" –Kazuma.

Yato and the others saw Kazuma who was moving from place to place in an instant. To normal people, they would only see the blurry shadows and afterimages of Kazuma.

Yato enhances Kazuma's abilities by giving him strength, endurance, and speed buffs. Yato also enhanced his mind with [Spirit Magic], so that his mind could react with his increased strength and speed.

Yato, Diablo, and Rimuru walked towards the group of villagers. Yato started to stare at the whole village. He could see two familiar little children, who were staring at their group with starry eyes, like looking at their idol, even though there were traces of tears on their cheeks. 'Hmm?' Yato noticed that there was a new face added there. it was a little girl with short dark red hair. She had round obsidian black eyes, just like the Asian in Yato's world and her eyes were teary like she was about to cry at any moment. Unknowingly their eyes met, Yato could see the surprise in the little girl's eyes.

'Is she Erza Scarlet? …Looks like she's really scared and just acting strong. That was so cute.' Yato thought when he found the young Erza Scarlet, one of the important characters in the world of [Fairy Tail].

When Yato and the others arrived in front of the villagers. The village chief who was in front of the villagers began to lower his head and opened his mouth-

"Thank you Madoshi-sa-"

"Papa!"

"Hah?" –Yato.

""EH?!"" –Rimuru & Diablo.

Before the village chief had even finished speaking, a little girl with dark red hair ran towards Yato and hugged his legs. This left everyone speechless and Yato's friends were shocked.

"Papa! You finally came!"

The little girl who Yato thought was young Erza Scarlet ran over and called him papa. The little girl- Erza was crying while smiling brightly as she looked at Yato. This left Yato speechless as if his brain had stopped working.

'…What's going on here?' thought Yato

""Y-Yato-san! You already have a child?!"" Rimuru and Diablo were also surprised by this situation, their friend who looked like a teenager, turned out to have a child.

"W-What? Of course not!" Hearing that, Yato immediately denied it.

After Yato denied that he had children, the bright smile that was on little Erza's face instantly disappeared. Erza who was hugging Yato's legs immediately cried with a sad face.

"P-Papa doesn't love Erza?" said little Erza stammering as she cried.

"Wha- D-Don't cry okay!" Yato who never took care of children became confused and tried to calm Erza down.

Yato then carried Erza into his arms and tried to calm her down. Erza looked like a three or four-year-old little girl with a height that didn't even reach Yato's waist.

"Shu, shu. Good girl, don't cry, okay?" –Yato.

"U-Un. Elza is a good girl." Erza who heard Yato, stopped crying and wiped her tears.

"So… little girl, what's your name? I mean Erza's full name?" Yato asked with a soft smile on his face.

"Erza name? Erza's name is Erza Kamiya!" Little Erza answered with a smile and raised both her hands cheerfully.

"?!" Hearing Erza's name made Yato, who was currently carrying and staring at Erza, freeze. Yato's gentle smile turned into an awkward smile.

'H-How can? I don't remember ever having a child, even in my previous life?!' Yato's mind was in chaos at this point. He tried to use [Parallel Thinking] to find the answer to the problem in front of him.

"Kamiya… isn't she really your daughter, Yato-san?" – Diablo.

"That's right… you can't deny it Yato-san. Little children won't lie…" –Rimuru.

"Papa?" -Erza.

Yato just massaged the bridge of his nose and felt a headache right now. Yato was still thinking hard about how he could have a child. Yato kept thinking 'Since when? How could this happen?'

Kazuma and Touya started walking towards the others as Kazuma noticed their surprise and complained to Yato with Touya trying to calm Kazuma down.

"Don't say bad things to Papa!" Said little Erza who was trying to protect her father.

"-That, the little girl here… turns out to be Yato-san's child." Rimuru continued while pointing at Erza who was still being carried by Yato.

""Huh?! Yato/ Nii-san already have children?!" exclaimed Kazuma and Touya with surprised faces.

'Why do problems always come to me? Ahh, I want to sleep now… damn it.' Yato thought while sighing tiredly.
