247 Starting Over

Sael nodded to one of the Grey Mountain Clan folk and the dwarf walking side by side down the hall. Both stopped the Mountain folk smashing his fist into his chest like an ape, their clan's sign of respect. The dwarf ran his fingers through his beard to grip it before bowing slightly, their highest form of respect.  Before Sael never really paid it much attention, he was their king or warlord or whatnot. But now that he was once again a level one nobody felt weird being shown respect by much stronger fighters.  He gave them a stiff nod then picked up his pace. He had left Beth shortly after Gaeren had departed. Originally he planned to crawl back in bed and be useless, after all, he was now.  But it didn't take long for him to grow fidgety.
