Several times during the short trip back he couldn't help but glance back at the menacing cloud bank. Thunder rolled out in ever growing frequency and it was growing faster as well.  Once at the castle he glanced around, there were no swarms of insects, and down below both the Titan Beetle and the Thousand Leg Devourers were nowhere to be seen.  Below the ground still smoldered and there were plenty of corpses, but other than that it looked peaceful.  When he landed on the balcony he wasn't surprised to be met by Erica whose face was a perfect mask of calm as always.  "Your new guests arrived. We have provided them lodging, I don't expect we need to worry about any trouble?"  Her tone sounded sure of herself.

"I hope not." Behind him, there was another rumble of thunder. "How many were there?"
