(Spoilers) Thank You For The Meal (Side Story)

~Grumble~

My stomach let out a pained groan, It's been two says since I ate and my last meal and like usual was pretty small.

I place one hand on the dumpster before me and pray to the gods that there will be some food.

Lifting the lid I was disheartened at the sight of a empty can, Just then I hear the sound of a door opening and hide as I know the workers are coming out.

Three men walked out each dressed in waiters attire. I eyed them noticed what I had been searching for. One of them had something I was in desperate need of, it was a large black bag.

The man put the bag into the dumpster then closing the lid and said in a mad voice said "Damn vagrants can't leave shit alone"

One of the other men lit a cigarette taking a long draw on it before blowing out smoke and saying "what do you expect, this is downtown. speaking of let's hit up the red light district"

I heard the other two agree and all three men left the ally to find their treasures. Now it was my time, Getting out from my hiding place around the buildings corner I sprint to the dumpster before slamming it open.

My hands even though they are cold and almost purple greedily rip open the bag and I sort it's edible contents. 'Today must have been a slow day' I thought to myself upon seeing it's interior.

'Looks like for lunch today we have three edible tater tots, a slice of tomato that must have been dropped on the ground and discarded. And today's main dish a t-bone steak that had only mostly been eaten and looked as if it was cut with a knife.'

Taking the contents with me I walk to my house, well I guess you wouldn't call it a house but it's what I have so it's my house.

I live in a old abandoned bus depo that had a couple busses still laying around so I sleep in one that has most it's windows still.

I opened the door of the bus and walked inside grabbing a board and knife I found. I place the steak on it and De Meat the bone while I do so I eat the tomato slice and one of the three tater tots.

Having finished the preparation I take a few pieces of meat and put them in my mouth making sure to save the four biggest slices.

With the four meat slices and two tater tots in hand I walk back out the bus and make a fire in the barrel by my bus.

I pray to the gods and offer a special prayer to Lord Hades, Lady Persephone, Lady Melenoë and Lord Dionysus.

With the food now back in my hand, I offer it to the gods as I toss the meat slices and tater tots into the fire before making a final prayer to the forgotten and unknown gods.

My body has been pretty worn down all day but at that moment I started feeling well really tired and was about to go back into the bus and sleep since I was suddenly feeling way more tired than usual but as I started for the door.

~Grumble~

'I guess In the end I'm still hungry. I should go look for another dumpster.' I thought. Having decided to go forage for food I head back out into the alleyways but before I could get far my body felt really heavy and my legs trembled.

I collapsed on the ground and the snow started to pile up around me.
