Chapter 45 - Successfully installed!

The date only lasted two hours. It should have lasted longer, but Bulma was too sleepy. And soon after the date was over, the customers started arriving for dinner, and the air conditioners that Nahida had bought also arrived.

About the customers: Some were pretty startled when they saw Joulan at the reception. Of course, only the people who weren't from the world he came from. But everyone who didn't know about Orcs's existence believed it was just a costume.

But it wouldn't be long before they realized this was a real Orc and Nazuna was a goblin. Nahida didn't know what would happen when that day came, but he knew it was coming, and everything would become a mess.

When people in worlds without monsters start finding out about the monsters in Nahida's hotel, problems will probably arise.

Can you imagine people discovering that Orcs are real in a world like Oregairu? Or in a world like K-on? These are two worlds where monsters are fictional, just like the real Japan.

But it wasn't a problem to worry about now since no customers had run away fearing Joulan. Nahida was sure that problems would arrive as soon as this happened.

"Everyone's back except Edward and Alphonse." Midnight, when all the guests had gone to their rooms, Nahida noticed that the two brothers hadn't returned for dinner, which was strange.

Nahida asked Nazuna if the brothers had said anything to her, but they hadn't.

"They probably needed to do something important. I don't care much about them anyway." The script is finished, and those two brothers will have a happy ending, so Nahida does not need to worry.

So, now that he was alone there, Nahida would finally open all the boxes and install the air conditioners.

But then he remembered something: He needed to learn how to install an air conditioner. Besides, would it be possible to put these air conditioners in his hotel and make them work? It could be that his hotel only accepted air conditioners from his system.

Luckily for Nahida, something unbelievable happened when he opened the first box.

"I can choose all the rooms. That's good. The first one is probably mine." Nahida had taken one of the more potent air conditioners out of the box, so he selected the reception.

As soon as he had selected it, the air conditioner disappeared from in front of him, and, as if by some magic, the air conditioner appeared at the reception wall. The only thing left in the box was the air conditioning control.

"That's great. Now I have to do this with everything else." Nahida opened all the boxes stacked inside his room and installed all the air conditioners. He put the two most powerful ones downstairs and the rest in the bedrooms, including his own.

"Now I have to put the air conditioner controls in the rooms for the guests to use. Guests who come from fantasy worlds will need a manual... Probably."

With all the air conditioners turned on and configured, Nahida went to bed.

When Nahida woke up the next day, he felt pretty cold because of the low temperature inside his room. He washed his face before changing the temperature on the air conditioning.

And as soon as he left his room, it was even colder. No one was sitting at the table, even though it was breakfast time. It was probably because of the low temperature in the room.

Nahida was shivering from the cold.

"What temperature did I set here last night? It's too cold!" Nahida picked up the controls on one of the tables and changed the temperature.

"Nahida, what did you do? Why is it so cold in here?" Then Nazuna appeared. She had just arrived for work. She was always early. Nazuna had a copy of the front door key, so she could come in whenever she wanted.

"So it's not time for the customers to come down yet?"

"No, it's too early. Joulan came with me, too." Nazuna was trembling. She rubbed her arms to try to protect herself in the cold.

"Good. If the customers came down now, they'd be very uncomfortable in this cold."

"What did you do?"

"They're devices that help change the temperature. I put them in last night. I left the temperature too low, that's why it's so cold. I'll change the temperature. It'll get better until the customers start coming down."

"I think I'll go into the kitchen until the temperature rises. I can't stand this cold. What about you, Joulan?"

"I can handle this cold without any problems."

"Okay, then stay at reception, all right?"

"Sure."

"What about you, Nahida? Are you staying here?"

"I can handle the cold. But I'm going out. I have some things to deliver to Rimuru." Nahida had a bag full of items in his room. They were snacks and sweets he had bought for Rimuru.

"Are you going out at this hour? Rimuru-sama is probably busy at the moment."

"What do you mean?"

"They're planning a festival, so he must be busy."

"They are? Rimuru should have warned me!"

"Preparations started last night. He was probably going to come here to invite you today."

"I see. Please look after the hotel while I'm away."

"Leave it to me and Joulan!"

Nahida took the bag and asked Joulan to open the door so he could leave. Joulan still didn't know how Nahida's hotel worked. He opened the door because he thought he should do it since he was an employee.
