1 One’s victory, Another’s loss

I died.

I don't really care that I died. After all my life was boring in my opinion. I guess not all of it was boring. I got a boyfriend and had our happy lives together. I do regret leaving him from this world.

While I was thinking, a loud voice came from above, "Masaki Yoruka, you have died in this world, but do not worry for you are about to be reincarnated into another world." I was very excited, since young I've always dreamed of going to a fantasy world so my excitement was very obvious. I guess it was too obvious, since it surprised the voice. "A-ahem, since you are going to be reincarnated, I would bestow you a skill of your choosing."

I was hoping for this, I had already decided which skill I would have.

"I choose….."

She died.

I lost the one I loved. She was the only one I had. The only one to see me for who I really am.

Why..why did she have to die? Why couldn't I be the one in her place?

"..Yoruka…", I whispered.

As I lay on our bed, hoping that this was all a nightmare and that she wasn't dead. I thought about the times I had with her. I thought about how I first met her. I thought about our dreams together that are not left in the dust buried underground with her. I…. couldn't take it, knowing that I lost the one I loved.

This is my first time writing a novel so I don't know anything about writing novels.

Uh.. this novel was just something I thought of on the spot, so it might not go anywhere.

- about the plot. There is no plot. I just wanted to write about what happens to an "isekai" character's friend and family after their death. I don't really want to make an isekai because it seems kind of hard to do.
