1 The Day Begins

Authors Note:

The writing system on the phone app feels very weird and I don't know what goes where. We shall see when I publish this first chapter lol.

It's also 4am so my mind ain't the best... I will re read this in the morning lol.

"Finally! Today is the day... last accursed exam of the year."

I energetically jumped out of the bed despite knowing that I'm heading to the last one of my finals.

"Woah... sheeet... I shouldn't have done that..."

I thought as I speedily sat down to calm down my dizziness and headache.

"I got up too fast... heh... wow... its 12 o'clock... meh whatever... the exam starts at 16h anyway"

I quickly went to the bathroom to do the morning routine. Ate something and sat down in my uncomfortable leather chair. "This accursed thing is so old now... but it was so dang expensive back then" I thought of useless things as I waited for my computer to boot-up.

Well better revise a bit... after all Computer Netrowking is the hardest class... all because of that grumpy old professor... all my senior colleagues say it's the do or die class in this semester. Die as in... if you dont pass it now you will be carrying it with you till the end of your schooling.

It's as if that old man wants to fck you and your future when he sees you repeating his class.

"Well I have studied quite a bit for this and I'm ready maybe a bit of minecraft wouldn't hurt...No man... just NO" . Soon time passed as I revised my notes, my wish for procrastination just kept getting bigger. "No man NO... leave that accursed game alone at least for a bit more... after I finish this I can play all summer" Rational thoughts kept pouring in as I slowly fought the demon of laziness sitting in my soul always ready to strike.

"Ahh modded minecraft will be my bane..." My thoughts then continued rambling on about TCP and UDP protocols.

(A/N: as some of you see... the pain is real xD)

I got up... and scurried around the house looking for something to wear... it was 15:30 and I thanked god that my apartment was close to campus. It was just a 15 minute walk to the building where the exam was beeing held. I put on something comfortable to wear... thankfully we don't have a dress-code. Who wants to go to an exam in jeans? I put on my baggy sweat-pants and a hoodie and left the house .

"You have to do the exam, all while those disgusting clothes are strangling your balls... fck that"

I arrived to campus and entered the examination area... I got lazily patted down by the male assistant professor while the female one was doing the girls... it was pretty much a necessity at this point since people have been finding excellent ways to cheat. Invisible earbuds... smart glasses... phones... Ti-84s... we had it all.

It all went down quite quickly as we one by one sat in the amphitheatre.

4 hours passed and I was finally out of that hell hole... "ahh finnaly!" I stretched as I talked to my friends... "So how did you guys do?"

Alexander: "Terribly... looks like I will be repeating this thing"

Me: "oof... is it really that bad?"

Alexander: "yeah... it is..."

I turned to Ivan as I left Alexander to wallow in his depression.

Me: "You mate?"

Ivan: "I think I will pass... I might have made a mistake on the theory 7th question now that I think about it"

Me: "Yeah... that one was hard... I wrote like 3 pages just about it..."

Ivan: "yeah... well I dont give a fck... I'm pretty sure that I passed and that's all that matters to me as long as that old cooch is my professor."

Me: "hahahahaha you said it!

Ivan laughed a bit with me and then said: "So what are your plans for the summer?"

Alexander: "Well going to the beach and a lot of studying... I don't want to be meeting the old man next year too... so I will go for the term in September."

Ivan:"you know he gives the hardest exams on the repeating term right?"

Alexander:"yeah I know... but I can at least try..." *sigh* "what about you Marko?"

Me:"Well I'll be playing a ton of modded minecraft and climbing the Elo hell of League... I ain't planning to leave the house."

Ivan:"Cmon man...get a fkin life... hahahaha."

Me:"Haha! I love my curent life man"

And then I got hit by a truck.

(A/N: hahahahaa JK ignore the last line XD)

Ivan: "well call me up when you start playing league... we can play together. Bye guys"

Ivan high fives us and slowly starts going on his way to his apartment complex.

I shout out to him "Sure Man! But I ain't playing ranked with you, you bronze 3 plebian!"

Ivan: "hahaha fuck you, you are just a silver !"

and then he flipped me off.

Me: "Silver 1! there is a big difference!

ivan:"Yeah right! Still just a silver!"

Thankfully no one was around to hear our bullshit.

I laughed as I looked at Alexander.

Alexander:"you guys are so dynamic... were you lovers in your past life? hahahahaha"

Me: "man.. fck you hahahaha"

Alexander:"we can connect and play some stuff later when I have time or when I'm procrastinating... hit me up on discord."

Me: "sure man, I'm off, bye!"

I said as I started branching off to the way of my house.

Alexander:"cya!"

Well as I slowly walked home... thinking about my empty fridge I went off to get myself a pizza in the pizzeria that was on the other side of the street.

I waited for the green lights and started walking. With no cars in sight I was relaxed... suddenly a screech came out of nowhere and I saw a speeding car coming from the corner driving towards me at break neck speeds.

"wtf... this is a residential zone and he is going 130 km/h." I froze... but soon powered through it and ran towards the sidewalk thinking that I will be safe there.

I turned around and saw the driver through the windshield, 3 meters in front of me... my perception slowed down. I was milliseconds away from my death and I knew it. His bloody red eyes stared at me with a scared, desperate expression. "Curse my luck... he is on drugs and is driving... wtf is this life... why me? Why isn't it at least a truck... then I would be able to at least come to terms with it." I kept thinking of silly things like that, trying to calm myself down, as I stared death in the eyes.

The car crashed into me, breaking all my bones and striking me off into the air. I flew into the pizza shop and crashed into it, right through the large front window. People screamed... a few of the waiters recognised me since I was a regular They immediately came up to my body as I was lying there in a slowly expanding pool of blood.

They called the ambulance, thinking they could maybe save me... but it was defenitly the end. Weirdly my thoughts flowed even though I was mangled up. I looked into the waiters eyes, conscious of my injuries... but weirdly not experiencing any of the pain. Adrenalin I thought as I mustered the strength to tell the waiter my final words. "You guys... *cough* had the best pizza... in town" Slowly blood seeped into my lungs. I couldn't muster the strength or breath to say more, I wanted to but I couldn't. My family will mourn my death... ahh I wish I could see them one more time. It's a shame I will never get to play minecraft again... or factorio... or mindustry... or so many great sandbox factory games out there that were yet to be released and waited for me to play them. I let down a tear... thinking of the great life I had in front of me, it's all gone now.

My thoughts slowly faded as everything went dark. I had left my final worthless words to that waiter praising my favourite pizzeria.

Please do tell how you liked it... next chapter should hopefully come soon... I have stuff to do and not much time to write anything... I will try to post weekly but even that might be a pipe dream.

I value criticism in any form... this is my first time trying to write anything and I want to know how it was. Don't complain about the lack of content in the first chapter... we will get to that... this was more of a test for me to see if I could come up with anything readable lol.
