3 Chapter 3

He felt his heart rip in different direction as he opened his eyes wide opened. The setting, the atmosphere everything was back when he first woke up in this strange place.

"D-Didn't I just died…!?" He said in rushed tone as headed to the outside again seeing the white-masked man, Varre, again.

"It seem thy Tarnished had died by the hand of the golden warrior, has he not?"

With a strange manner of speaking the Varre spoke surprising Bell.

He, Bell, died! When person dies he shouldn't be in the realm of living again, does he not? His head were bombarded with questions after question and he was in the verge of breaking.

"I c-clearly died, yet, why am I still alive?" Truly Bizarre things were happening to him at the moment.

Varre just softly chuckled.

"Mister Bell Cranel was it?"

"Y-Yes…?"

"Allow me to explain but briefly about the situation you are in at the moment. You are Tarnished, a hero who was brought back from death by grace itself! Thou body might die from the attacks but thy soul is always resurrected in the nearest Grace place you were in." Varre took a glance at white-haired tarnished who didn't seem to get it at all as just sighed. "Consider thyself blessed by grace by the immortality, that's what it is in simple ye tarnished rookie."

To say that Bell's eyes were about to pop out from his eye sockets would be to say nothing at all. His heart froze from the sudden revelation, so in the end he was indeed in another world just as the suspicious Varre had told him. Sighing to himself He simply sighed, what can he do but sigh at moments like this? He had no idea why he was here, no idea how he was now practically immortal and what's more, guessing from the way that Golden horseman killed him with no regret or remorse he was sure that many things and people were hostile in here, even the kind gesture of Varre seemed more like a help out of pity and interest rather than goodwill of a saint.

"I th-think I start to catch the gist of it but…what now? What should I do?"

"A tarnished like ye mustn't ask a question like these from me, sir Cranel, but rather ask thyself, the furthest of advises I can give you is but follow the grace and reach the Stormveil castle but I will admit though, avoid any excess chatter, especially with the golden Knight riding a horse and knights from the castle."

You should have said it earlier!, Bell thought in back of his mind.

"I am really grateful for your advice, Mr.Varre…"

"No need to thank me dear Mr. Cranel, rather thou would like to give you but a small parting gift."

"G-Gift? I am afraid I can't take it you already did so much…"

Varre just laughed.

"Thy should not refuse gifts especially in place such as this y'see. Just take it with yourself it might be a great help." Varre handed Bell a dagger, a brand new dagger which seemed to be well polished by the blacksmith who made it. "I have no use for this dagger and tarnished like you in such a dangerous place as this will be as useful as Graftings made by Godrick the Grafted."

Clearly forcing the dagger to Bell, the rabbit had no choice but accept the kind will.

With that said he, thanking Varre, headed to Stormveil castle as was advised by Varre.

He was sure he wouldn't die this time.

.

.

.

Oh, how was the tarnished rabbit foolish to think that.

On his way he activated a lot of Grace and managed to die even more. He faced giant Bats, Giant Dragonflies and hostile Knights that were urging to kill him the moment he showed up.

Now sitting near the grace Bell was trembling. The term death even so being so scary lost its fear over his heart as he was bequeathed by the immortality surely useful especially in place like this.

He missed his goddess who was kind enough to let him into her familia and he missed Miss Eina, oh how would he like to get back into his world where he can take a warm bath and rest. The only safe place for him was Grace which was warm and had a soothing and calming light.

Polishing his dagger he decided to proceed forward.

And the moment he did so he heard the disgusting and wild growl addressed to him. Huge wolves followed him to the grace itself with opened mouths and red eyes.

"Just my luck…" Bell thought as grabbed his dagger.

The wolves jumped towards him all together with their saliva and fangs showing up fully to the world itself.

Bell grabbing the dagger gifted to him slashed through the middle wolf with the white arc forming on his back right through the neck of the beast.

'One down.' White haired boy commented in his thoughts while the blood of mad dog covered his white fluffy hair.

The remaining two wolves despite seeing their leader being taken out by a tarnished didn't hesitate to continue the fight.

Two wild growls forming into one they jumped at him again only for the boy to dodge the upcoming bites. He was bitten enough already and grew tired of mindlessly throwing away his life.

In battle, a person shall put their feelings in and Bell understood it just fine.

Clenching the dagger in his hands he blinded the wolf on his left with the soil he quickly grabbed from the ground while pierced the right sided wolf's heart by thrusting the dagger deep into a wild beast's chest.

"Auughhh…" It let the small whine of death which made Bell to hesitate but he was sure that those bastardy creatures wouldn't let him go either so the option was to be merciless like the enemies he faced.

With that said he got rid of second monster while the one which was left was the blinded wolf who was still struggling with the soil in it's eyes.

Rolling on ground with it's tail wiggling left and right it seemed like a helpless dog.

The sides of Bell's lips lowered as his hands started to shake. He didn't wanted to do this but if he would let this wolf live it will kill him.

"A-Ah…" His voice trembling he stepped forward towards the beast.

Kill or not kill? There lays a question for the white-haired tarnished.

He closed his eyes as let lose of his instincts.

Stab

"Augh!"

Stab

"Augh…"

Stab

"…"

The creature was dead while Bell fall into the ground with trembling hands.

Despite wanting to be an adventurer he was nothing but rookie, an inexperienced zygote that's who he was at the moment.

He just closed his eyes hoping that this nightmare would one day end, but real question is rather it would or not?
