The journey to the Dungeon City and the Powers of Fate

Along the way to Orario I started to test out my Gods Remnants reduced capabilities and my Fate Swords new forms.

The armours resistances and self-healing had been reduced by a massive margin and the sword looked frail and weak, even I knew that once I grew stronger than they would be back up to full power, I still felt sad at looking at my trust companion being reduced to a mere Level 1 sword.

But I guess what was taken away was given back in versatility with the multiple new forms.

The Long and short swords would make for great mid-fight transformations, it will also work well with the Fate Sword Arts third technique: Fate Dragons Fang, it was one of the five Fate Sword techniques.

The Sword techniques we're as follows:

1 Fate Rabbit Step

2 Fate Dragons Claw

3 Fate Dragons Fang

4 Fate Colossus Slash

5 Fate Goddess Strike

These were the main moves of the Fate Sword Arts, there was also the two forms of fighting in the Fate Sword Arts, Short Bladed Fate, and Long Bladed Fate, these were styles of fighting that worked with the Fate Swords two forms, the Standard Knights sword and the Dagger. But now I had added both a Long sword and a Short sword to the list of forms, I could use them more efficiently and with a greater deal of control.

Unfortunately the shifting of my weapon takes a lot of energy out of me, so shifting in the middle of fighting is not just hard, it's going to be impossible for now, or at least till I level up or try to make a pray to Fate for help. (A/Nm: this part was added because of a comment on the chapter, Id like to say thx for that person as she or he made some valid points)

Then there was the shield, it could be useful in many ways, just having a shield could open up many more ways of fighting for me, and just the prospect of Chanelling my fate powers through a shield made me excited.

The Fate Domain and the Mark of Fate could have a lot of interesting effects when channelled through a shield, the Domain of Fate boosted power and if it was powerful enough could also give a certain amount of control over fate it self, if it was channelled through a shield I could guarantee that I was protected from a strike, this of course would only work up to a certain threshold. And the Mark of Fate, which had a bunch of effects to be with, would have an additional one once I channelled it through my shield, especially a Mark of Protection, which would have the same effect of the Domain when channelled through the shield.

Speaking of my Marks of Fate, I wonder if I could use them to be state separate skills based of each of the marks, this was a concept I was trying to master last time I as in a video game like world with a skill-based system.

My Marks came in a variety of flavours, there were only a few marks within each category and three categories in total.

They were as follows

Category 1: offence

1 Fate Mark of the Burned

2 Fate Mark of the Frozen

3 Fate Mark of the Electrocuted

Category 2: support/utility

1 Fate Mark of the Lost

2 Fate Mark of Empowerment

3 Fate mark of the Healed

4 Fate mark of the Bound

Category 3: defence

1 Fate Mark of Protection

2 Fate Mark of the Shielded

3 Fate Mark of Eternal Protection

But before I could test out any of my newly reduced Fate powers, I saw it.

The City of Orario.

The towering walls.

The colossal tower of Babel.

It was a sight to behold.

But only one thing was going through my mind at the time

Because I had realised something.

Something that could make my life a lot harder.

Something I should have thought of earlier

'When the fuck am I????'
