Talking to Fey
Later that night Bell returned from the dungeon and we all ate potato crochets.
While Hestia introduced me to him, as Logan of course, I was busy think if Fate had taken notice of my tricks.
"Well its nice to meet you Logan, welcome to the Hestia Familia"
"Thank Bell, it's great to be apart of the Familia, my brothers and sisters would be so happy for me" I said, thinking of all of the 1,000,000,000 Knights that I called a family, and how it would be a long time till I would be able to see them again.
"well I'm sure that they would be, I hope that if my grandpa we're still here he too would be proud of me" said as we all prepared for bed.
But then another problem hit me in the head, where would I sleep.
And from the looks of the realisation of Bells and Hestia's faces, they too made the realisation.
"um... Well I could always share the bed with Hestia" I said with a slight smile in my mind, hoping she would realise the hidden meaning and intent behind my words.
Heastia upon hearing this, in a remarkably hilarious fashion, blushed and did a double take as she nearly fainted from he thought of sharing a bed with me.
"its ok, I-I'll share a bed with Bell, it's fine just for now, until we can get another thing for you to sleep in!" she insisted.
'seems as if she got the message' I though while giving her a encouraging wink as bell turned around and flopped down on the bed.
She once seeming this, ran and started to hide under the bed covers, pretending to be asleep as to escape my teasing.
(time skip : a few minutes)
As I fell into a deep slumber, I found my self in a place I ha only been in once before.
I was sitting in a small two person boat, I was on one side, while a woman was sitting on the other side, she wore a light blue dress and a big floppy sun hat that covered her face.
I knew what this was and I knew who this woman was.
I picked up the paddles that sat in between me and the woman and started to paddle the boat through the seemingly endless ocean of this realm.
It was a full three hours till the woman spoke to me.
"Alpha, it's nice to see you again" she greeted with her soft voice
"to you as well, oh Goddess Fey" greeted her back with a slight now of the head
As Fey removed her sun hat, I saw a magnificent sight that only a few fate knight get to see.
What Fey looks like.
Her hair was a full creamy white and her eyes were the colour of the rainbow, her pale skin and office lady looking glasses gave her a very beautiful and official look.
"Alpha, do you know why I called you here?" she asked as she pulled a cupcake out of thin air and started to munch on it
"No Goddess Fey, I do not, but if it is anything I presume it is for a talk" I answered truthfully
"You would be correct" she said with a soft friendly smile.
"then what is it you would like to talk about... Is it possible to do with me telling Hestia about Fate and the Future of Bell Cranel?" I asked with a high of worry
"no, although this came as a surprise to me when I found out, I would think nothing less of you, you we're always a do it your own way kind of Knight, but the reason I want to talk to you is to ask you if you know why my daughter gave you her blessing?" she asked
"I pressure it was her way of giving me the growth skill I asked for" I answered
"well you are partially right, it has come to my attention that Chaos is on the move, working his way though the multiverse towards the world of Danmachi"
This... Was going to be trouble.
"why would he do this, I thought that he could not interfere with my vacation" I said with a frown
"and where did you get that idea?" she asked
... That's right, no one ever said such a thing, I guess I must have assumed it.
"I only assumed it was why Fate had been talking to Chaos earlier before I arrived"
"well, I'm sorry to day this, but you are wrong, it seems that he intends to destroy the world, and as you stand now, you have no way to defend you self against my son's tricks" she said truthfully
"It would seem so" I did with a wary smile on my face
"so what do you intend to do about it?" she asked, looking at me with a serious look in her eyes
"I intend to get stronger, and achieve my past strength and then grow even more, I only want to get stronger so as to be a better knight for Goddess Fate"
"… Alpha do you love my daughter?"
It was a difficult question, but after some time a managed to find the answer that I knew was right.
"... At a time yes, but I have long since moved on, it was a silly crush, brought about by beauty and the kindness she showed me on my first day of the job all those eons ago"
"do you have any intention of finding love in this world?" fey asked
This too was a difficult question, but like the other one, in time I found the answer.
"I might, but It has not been fated, so I can not say"
I said with a slight smile.
"well I just wanted to know, because... Well, if you do find love, I could arrange for you to have a... 'Permanent Vacation' in the world of Danmachi" she said looked at me with a slight look of sadness.
'Permanent Vacation'
Am I being fired?!?!?!
"so you mean if I do find love before my vacation ends at my death, I could stay there" I asked, hoping that it was the meaning to her words.
"yes, Fate had asked me if this was possible and I said yes, so she asked me to tell you, that is also partially why I am here talking to you"
So Fate wanted to give me the chance...
"well... Thank you, for the opportunity, but until that happens I still need to return to my duties, if I do find someone, I will make sure to give you a prayer as to let you know"
"ok, but before I leave if you do stay in that world, would you like to keep your powers and abilities of Fate?"
That was an option?!
"… I... could I?" I asked in disbelief
"Because of your efforts in your long service I am willing to do that, but that's only if you find true love"
"of course, thank you for this honour and this option"
"very well, I shall be off"
"good bye Goddess Fey"
Then as if the boat had suddenly capsized, I found my self jolted awake, to see Bell getting ready to leave for the dungeon.
