Chapter 26: the distance between the antagonist and the protagonist

Markus's POV:

The sound of the smooth riding carriage filled my ears, we didn't have to go through any teleportation gate in order to reach our destination today so it was rather quiet, and so I took the time to enjoy that quiet as much as I can.

Of course since I knew that lady Sophia would get bored quickly and pester me with one thing or another if I didn't do anything for too long I started a few idle chats with her and asked her a few questions about the tea party we just attended.

The young lady was in a good mood after attending the tea party hosted by House Rozier. She even answered my questions smoothly while we were the carriage back to the Rosewood mansion.
