CHAPTER 18 Divergence and Doubt

  Olivia's POV

Due to my continuous running, I was incredibly hot and my forehead was dripping with sweat. I raised my hand, habitually preparing to wipe away the sweat, and suddenly a handkerchief was pressed against my face.

My eyes trailed up the strong arm of the other person and fell on the face of the man before me. Lucas was wiping my face seriously with gentle, caring movements. The handkerchief brushed past my nose, and I smelled Lucas's unique scent for a brief moment, which was very pleasant.

After he carefully wiped my cheeks dry, he handed me the handkerchief and said, "Here, Olivia, use this to wipe off the blood on your hands."

  "What about you?"

"I didn't get much blood on me, so you can use it."

I wiped off most of the still-wet blood on my hands and then looked around for a place to clean myself up properly. Then I looked at the hospital in front of me and stopped.

Wait, why don't we just go to the hospital bathroom to clean up?
