CHAPTER 64

Y/N'S POV

It seems that both Sadie and the blonde, learned to respect my personal space and didn't even speak to me for the rest of the week. It was ironic because maybe I would be able to take something positive out of that experience. Little by little I was going to learn to stay intimidating without having to pull out my claws, it made me laugh to think about how Yoko and the others would react when they saw that I had regained my way of being. Thanks to Wednesday's training, I had learned to instill fear in others without resorting to weapons. Sometimes just one look was enough.

-Y/N: What is the plan for today? - I said enjoying a chupa chups from my bed - Shall we torture Pugsley?

- Wednesday: Have you done all the school assignments? - she said without looking at me - We want to go unnoticed, do them before the teachers scold you.

-Y/N: No, I don't feel like it - I said taking my hands behind my head and staring at the ceiling - It's funny, I'm starting to feel stronger with the passing of the days.

-Wednesday: - she looked at me and rolled her eyes - Do you think you're better for managing to intimidate Brooke and the others? It's obvious that they're scared shitless, but it's not because of what you think. I think our friend has warned the other two what we are capable of, so get off the cloud you are on and get back to reality.

-Y/N: Poor Brooke if she told them about who I really am - I sat cross-legged - I will cut out her tongue if she dares to mention something about Nevermore, although it is an advantage that she keeps her friends in line. Now they don't bother me - I put the chupa chups back in my mouth.

I was about to lie down again and get settled when suddenly very loud music started playing. I looked at Wedns confused and she motioned for us to go out on the terrace and check what the hell was going on. As we do so, we meet Maddie at the wheel of a car, Brooke as a co-pilot and Sadie dancing on the roof of the car. What the hell were they doing in front of our house on a Saturday? !!

- Wednesday: Did you say that you had bullied them? - she scoffed - It seems to me that they are not afraid of you.

-Y/N: Neither of you - I rolled my eyes and started screaming - What are you guys doing here?!!

-Maddie: - Turned down the music volume in the car - Let's go to the fair! We have come to pick you up! - she smiled.

-Y/N: - I looked at Wednesday - It's one thing to put up with them in class, we don't have to go with them on our days off.

- Wednesday: Do you have something better to do? - she raised an eyebrow - You spend the whole day loafing, you need to get out and distract yourself. In Nevermore you were much more active, I don't think becoming sedentary will benefit you.

-Y/N: Our friends and my girlfriend were in Nevermore, it was a totally different situation - I crossed my arms - Besides, I hate Brooke and I can't stand her friends.

- Sadie: Y/N! - she shouted with both hands next to her mouth - There are games for shooting with a shotgun! I dare you to beat me if you can!

-Wednesday: - she looked at me again and smirked - How long has it been since you practiced your marksmanship? You're not in the archery club anymore. Maybe that game will help.

-Y/N: - I grimaced in disgust - I hate you, Wedns - I said grabbing a backpack to put my belongings in - Come on, hurry up. You're coming too.

- Wednesday: Me? No, I'll stay and write my novel - I dragged her out of the room - I hate you too, Y/N.

We quickly said goodbye to my uncles and got into Maddie's dirty car, to our bad luck she touched us in the back next to Sadie. If it wasn't bad enough the fact that I was going to spend the day with them, I was in the middle seat, so I would be the one who would suffer all the curiosity of the redhead. I had no idea how long the trip would take, but Wednesday managed to liven up the atmosphere by playing the music of a hormonal teenager and playing her own. In the end, after half an hour locked in that sardine can, we were able to reach the fairgrounds.

- Maddie: Wooo! - she said animatedly - We have already arrived! - she locked the car with the remote - Where do we start?

-Sadie: Y/N and I are going to compete in the shotgun stand - she said animated and looked at me - Shall we go?

-Y/N: - I looked at Wednesday - I will go with her to humiliate her, that's my only purpose.

-Wednesday: - she nodded - Then I'll go with Brooke and Madison - said without facial expression.

We separated and I started walking next to the redhead through the crowd, it was overwhelming to have to walk among so many people. But the very thought of humiliating Sadie by demonstrating my great aim, made it worth enduring the crowd. It didn't take long to get to the stand and pay to use two shotguns with three bullets each. I was about to shoot when the redhead interrupted me.

-Y/N: What's going on now? - I rolled my eyes - Are you going to chicken out?

-Sadie: No, of course not - she smiled - But I've just never held a shotgun - How should I do it?

-Y/N: Are you kidding me? - I made a grimace that seemed funny to her - Have you challenged me to a duel without even knowing how to hold the gun?

-Sadie: Brooke told me that you were interested in guns, I thought this would be the only way to get you to come with us and feel included - she smiled trying to hold the shotgun - This thing weighs more than I thought.

-Y/N: I didn't ask you to help me integrate - I said a little off guard - I don't need it.

- Sadie: Hmm, you say that but your look is always very sad - she said looking into my eyes - It gives me the feeling that you have come to our institute for some specific reason. Obviously I won't ask or inquire much, I know you don't like people to intrude on your "personal space" - she smiled - But that doesn't mean that I can't try to be your friend.

-Y/N: - I thought about it for a few moments before rolling my eyes and sighing - Take a good look at how I hold the gun, you have to put it in firing position and lean it against your shoulder. Then you keep your hands fixed, in the same position all the time but you rotate the shotgun slightly upwards - I shot and hit the target - And then you just release the trigger like I just did.

-Sadie: - she made the "ok" gesture with her hand - I think I can do it - she said confidently.

The redhead tried to imitate my movements and honestly gave me the impression that she had succeeded. But then she let go of the trigger and the bullet blew up the post master's cap, I tried not to laugh with the man's reaction and the anger that fell to Sadie. We had to apologize for quite a while and he refused to let us keep shooting, in fact he kicked us out and said never to come back.

-Sadie: - she sighed as we walked in search of the others - You have laughed.

-Y/N: I haven't - I said with a serious expression.

- Sadie: Yes, yes you have - she smiled - Have you seen the face the man made when his cap flew off? - zhe put her hands to her face - My God, I could have made him blind or something.

-Y/N: It's just that you suck with a shotgun, you should have started with a smaller gun - I let out a giggle when I remembered the expression of the post master - A pistol would have been easier for you, although without aim... We would be in the same situation.

-Sadie: - nodded - I'm going to have to work on that aspect - she said amused - Next weekend we could go to a shooting range. Would you like to?

-Y/N: I don't know, I'll think about it - I said when I saw Wednesday in the crowd - There they are, let's go with them.

- Sadie: But Y/N, don't tell anyone what happened - she put her index finger to her lips and winked at me - it will be our little secret. Yes?

-Y/N: As you wish, instead I will brag about my victory against your defeat - I smirked - Although I do not know if that would make me look good, it would imply that I have taken advantage of a novice.

-Sadie: So we say it's been a draw and that's it - she smiled while shrugging her shoulders.

-Y/N: Not even kidding, Wednesday won't believe you - I said proudly - she knows how good I am when it comes to marksmanship.

- Sadie: - rolled her eyes and smiled - Fiiiine... The victory is yours Robin Hood.
