Y/N'S POV

After my father's explanation I could understand the reasons why he has always been so absent in my life, however that did not justify the fact that he had missed my entire childhood and that he had not been there when I needed him the most. The truth is that having that talk with him had felt like really getting to know my father, something I thought I had already done a long time ago.

-Y/N: I may have misjudged you, I understand your motives and everything fits perfectly now - I said looking into his eyes - But that doesn't mean that you haven't been with me at crucial moments in my life, I'm sorry to tell you that I'm not going to forgive you.

-Fester: I didn't expect you to do it, I know that as a father maybe I haven't done it as well as I could have - he sighed - But it was certainly disconcerting that despite all the sacrifices made, I was about to lose you anyway.

When I opened my eyes after feeling that cramp my father was no longer in the room, I smiled involuntarily once I processed everything that had just happened. I sat on the edge of my bed, rested my elbows on my knees and put my hands on my head while I thought about all the information I had received. Luckily Enid growled at them and they quickly walked away from me, then I got back to my feet and gave her a smile.

- Y/N: Hey... I've had an interesting chat with someone and suddenly I feel very brave - I smiled as I approached her - Do you think your parents would like to meet me?

- Enid: Are you serious? !! - she said surprised - I hadn't meant it before, I didn't think you were going to agree to be officially introduced to the pack. We're not even officially girlfriends, so I thought maybe you wouldn't-

-Y/N: Enid, I'm very serious with you - I said with a serious expression - For wolves it's very important to pair up and present the mate, as well as the pack concept. So here I am, take me to Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair please.

Did I feel a little more confident after talking to my dad? Yes, much more confident. But the nerves about meeting Enid's parents played a trick on me when I found myself sitting in front of two gigantic wolves and a bunch of puppies running around while they were playing with a ball. Was that really happening? I looked at Enid for some answer and she just squeezed my hand indicating to wait for them to transform into their human form.

- Mrs. Sinclair: So you are Y/N Addams... - she looked me up and down.

-Y/N: - I nodded - It's nice to meet you - I smiled.

- Mrs. Sinclair: Forgive the impoliteness, but... What exactly are you?

-Mr.Sinclair: Enid said she's a kitsune - he commented almost in a whisper.

-Mrs. Sinclair: Yes, but what is that? - she looked at me strangely - Animal or monster?

- Y/N: Uhm... It's complicated because I fall into the category of animal and also in the category of spirit and deity - I smiled nervously - I'm basically someone who can transform into a fox and can create fire and electricity.

- Will: Like pikachu! - commented the boy next to me while smiling excitedly.

There was an awkward silence in which Enid looked at me confused at my explanation and her parents were just waiting expectantly for me to continue with my introduction about the kitsunes.

-Y/N: I guess in that sense I am a bit like a pikachu - I said nervously making everyone burst into laughter - Did I say something strange? - I whispered to Enid.

-Enid: Since when do you control the electricity? !! - she said - It's obvious they were going to laugh, you've introduced yourself as pikachu. What were you thinking about?

-Y/N: I'll explain the electricity thing later and the pikachu thing... It's just that's pretty much how it works - I shrugged and looked at her parents - I'm sorry if it didn't sound formal enough, I didn't mean to offend-

-Mrs. Sinclair: Y/N Addams, a fox that throws fire and electricity like a pikachu - she smiled and looked at Enid - I guess she's powerful enough to be accepted into the pack.

- Enid: Are you serious? !! - she said excitedly when she saw how her parents nodded - You don't know how much this moment means... The fact that you have accepted Y/N as my mate and new member of the pack is so important that I think I'm going to transform from happiness - she said before hugging them and transforming into a wolf. Her parents also transformed and stared at me.

-Y/N: Oh, uhm... I guess you want me to transform into my animal form too - I smiled and turned into a fox.

The truth is that I didn't want to think about what a normal-sized fox would look like among a herd of giant lycanthropes. My adult fox size was equivalent to the size of a cub of theirs, so I got involved in the games of the youngest of the pack for quite a while. Until I returned to my human form and Enid dragged me to her side and invited me to stay for the family barbecue that the Sinclairs were going to organize. I gladly accepted as I felt it would be the best possible end point for the open day. I had resolved the conflict with my parents and my doubts, and I had also been accepted into Enid's family.
