1. Naberius Clan

Sirzechs Lucifer was especially busy at this time , he was drowning in paper work and he knew very well what or who was the reason for it , the bastards from the Naberius clan and them being members of The Great King faction was even more troublesome.

He was having a headache dealing with all these problems which were mostly related to his little sister's new peerage member but thinking about his little Rias's smiling face made him continue to work tirelessly.

And the elder sister of his sister's future peerage member who has been labelled as an S-class criminal due to killing her own master, who was the head of the Naberius clan, which enraged The Great King faction and prompted them to cause a ruckus and claim that the younger sibling is also dangerous and demanded her execution.

Of course, he couldn't let that happen because his little sister would be sad and as a reliable older brother he should help her with her problems.

He had already sent most of his trustworthy people to investigate the Naberius clan because from his point of view they were suspicious, because their claims do not add up.

Stating that the now S-class criminal Kuroka went berserk due to using Senjutsu and killed her master and king, and proceeded to slaughter the rest of the people present during the event.

Yep it was definitely fishy because Sirzechs Lucifer who was one of the 4 devil kings wasn't a grade-schooler to be fooled by such an obvious lie, so he had his own people investigate the Naberius clan territory, and Voilà he found something interesting, he found an experimental facility or whatever was left of it.

And what he found there made him shocked, The Great King faction was trying to artificially create super devils, but luckily they didn't succeed, as from the records he saw Kuroka was labelled as a failed experiment because she was only able to reach Ultimate class, but that in itself is bad news because it will take more than a decade for a talented individual to reach Ultimate class but they managed to create one in a few years.

{ A.N : I meant from high to ultimate ok . Most noble devils are born with high class magical reserves if they train properly they will surely reach high class in their teens or something , so ultimate 10 years from then . Talented devil's , beacuse during the great war there were many geniuses so..... . }

He couldn't imagine what would happen if they were to create more Ultimate class beings, it would be bad news for his faction. The Great King faction was already troublesome as it is, he didn't want anymore headaches, he just wants to go home and spend some time with his little sister and of course, he can't forget his wife.

" *Sigh*, Cleria will be mad " he already had a headache thinking about the tantrum his wife would throw if he doesn't return home to accompany her. In her words, he loves the office more than her.

Thinking about his wife brought a smile to his face, the bastards from the Great King faction were opposed to their union. His supposed grandfather Zekram Bael wanted him to marry someone from the Bael family as 'to not taint their Bael blood' in his words, but all he wanted was for him to marry someone from the Great King faction so he could spread his influence further.

His father also was against him marrying Cleria as the Belial clan was not part of the Great King faction and his father more or less supported his father-in-law, but he was thankful his mother supported his decision.

He met Cleria at a function hosted by one of the noble devils and he saw her with her cousin, Diehauser Belial the future heir of the Belial clan.

The Belial clan was a supporter of the new Satans so he got along with Diehauser very well, also the fact that Diehauser approved of the practice of reincarnating devils through the evil piece system, unlike the stuck-up nobles.

Die Hauser introduced the woman next to him as his cousin, never before had Sirzechs held feelings for a woman, he had only appreciated one woman in his life and she sadly didn't see him that way, but he could feel something special with this woman, but the fact that he was very old ,made him sigh in his heart.

They exchanged pleasantries, At first Cleria was a little overwhelmed, but after seeing that Sirzechs was an easy going person she started to feel less awkward and got into the conversation and before they knew they started chatting like old friends, after that event Sierzechs felt he wouldn't meet her again anytime soon, but as if it were fate they met each other again which led them to spend their time together, which led to her asking him to accompany her on a later date if he had time, to her surprise he agreed, and said that he was free during that time, in reality he did have an appointment but he will just have to ask Ajuka to do it.

They met during the appointment again and Sirzechs was surprised that he had a wonderful time and so did Cleria. They met again on countless occasions and both of them realized their feelings for each other and they decided to start a relationship. But when it got out that the new Lucifer was in a relationship, boy was it not pretty.

The Great King faction caused a ruckus telling them to stop their relationship, they even put pressure on the Belial clan. This infuriated Sirzechs and in front of all those who opposed them, he and Cleria got engaged. Knowing that they can't aggravate Sirzechs more they finally gave up and after a few years, he and Cleria got married.

Apart from the paperwork he could say that his life was splendid, he had a cute little sister to spoil and a lovely wife.

Suddenly a magic circle appeared near his ear which caused him to snap out of his thoughts.

" Sirzechs, I heard you wanted to talk to me about something" a feminine voice came out of the sound transmission

"Yes, mother and I would like to do it with you in person rather than over the transmission " Sirzechs replied respectfully, he respected his mother as she was one of the strongest female devils and he wondered sometimes if his father was really a lucky man for marrying his mother as even he had to agree that his mother was not only strong but also very beautiful even by the standard of devils.

" I'll send Grayfia over, you can talk to her about the details " saying that the voice transmission ended.

Sirzechs sighed in his heart, he had to meet the woman he formerly held feelings for and although he no longer had any feelings for her it was still awkward around her, sometimes his thoughts would stray towards having a harem but in his case, he only had two women in mind but the problem was with the two women, First of all, Cleria will not at all be amused by this idea and second Grayfia would most likely not accept as she had rejected him before .

But it was just a thought he really didn't have the guts to do it as he really didn't want to piss off Cleria ,and Grayfia herself was mostly indifferent towards him.

*knock*

A knock on the door was heard.

" Come in " Sirzechs replied in a calm voice.

Hearing the confirmation from inside, the door opened, and a beautiful silver-haired woman in a maid outfit came inside. Seeing her again Sirzechs couldn't help but stare for a few moments, seeing him like that there was no change in the woman's expression it was indifferent. Sirzechs sighed inside his heart, his title of Lucifer was feared and envied by many, but to him it didn't matter as he was unable to get the heart of the woman he loved.

The woman standing before him is known as the strongest Queen in the underworld, She is his mother's queen, Grayfia Lucifuge.

" Lord Lucifer, I heard you wish to convey something to Lady Venelana"

" Ah yes, I wanted to ask Mother's help with something that has been troubling me " he handed over a bunch of documents that contained information about the Naberius clan.

" So your problem has something to do with the Naberius clan," she asked him while browsing through the documents. She had heard about this clan due to recent news regarding a stray devil who belonged to the peerage of their former head, frankly, she found the whole issue suspicious but since they were part of the Great King faction it made things more complicated, from these documents she could see that the Naberius clan was trying to artificially create Super Devils but luckily they failed.

" Yes, although they failed in creating artificial Super devils I still think we should investigate them more, to prevent them from doing something outrageous, So I would like to request mother's help with investigating a hidden research facility owned by the Great King faction"

" Understood, I shall relay your request to Lady Venelana" with that Grayfia had no more reason to stay and after excusing herself she left to relay the message to Venelana.

After excusing herself from Sirzechs, Grayfia immediately went to report the matter to her King .

After reaching Venelana's study she knocked on the door twice and after hearing a soft 'come in ' she entered the room only to see Venelana engrossed in some paperwork, although she wasn't that busy she still had some businesses in the underworld, she didn't have to do the paperwork herself, but she did it herself because she didn't have anything else to do.

Grayfia waited for Venelana to finish with her work before speaking. After a few moments, Venelana looked up from the pile of paperwork and smiled at Grayfia,

"So what did My son have to say? "

Grayfia handed her the documents containing information regarding the Naberius clan and the artificial super devils and said to her in a calm voice.

" Lady Venelana these are documents containing some information regarding the illegal actions of the Naberius clan and most likely the Great King faction "

Venelana rubbed her forehead in exasperation and let out a tired sigh, the Great King faction was such a pain in the ass.

Her old man was the leader but that didn't mean she supported them, the relationship between her father and her was indifferent at best.

He only viewed her as a piece to use to gain influence, she had the most potential among her siblings even more than the current head who is her brother.

Still, he didn't hesitate to marry her off to a trash, her supposed husband was only a High-class devil while she at that time was a Peak Ultimate class devil. Although she never really loved him, she did try to make the marriage work, but it only got worse as time went on, as he would put his dick in every hole he finds. He most likely has had sex with all the maids and servants in the Gremory manor, it was humiliating for her, One of the strongest female devils in the underworld.

As time went on her rage turned into indifference, she no longer cared what the man did or who he slept with. She stopped sharing a bed with him ages ago, the last time he asked her to share a bed with him ended up with him having a blast of destruction magic in his face.

He even tried putting his hands on Grayfia, but it ended up with his balls frozen temporarily, she really wanted her Queen to freeze the bastard's balls forever but she knew it would bring endless trouble.

Her life should have become better when she gave birth to her children, but it really didn't change that much, her son Sirzechs was a monster from the start due to his enormous strength, which further fuelled Zeoticus's ambitions, still she tried her best to raise him up into an outstanding man or devil in this case.

But she couldn't really say she was proud of him, because although she was happy with the heights he has reached, he in the end still listens to his father more. And she hates to say this but for all his strength Sirzechs is a pushover, he doesn't rule with an iron fist, or else the case that had happened with the Naberius clan would not have happened.

While reading through the documents she found out all the illegal things the Great King faction has committed through the Naberius clan. She felt sorry for those two Nekomata sisters. While the older one was branded as an S-class criminal and the younger was ordered for execution but was luckily avoided due to Sirzechs telling them she would be part of his sister's peerage. This stopping any further action, but she knew it could all have been avoided if he just published this document but she knew what was in his head, he wanted a cute little servant for his little Rias. Due to the younger one being only 1-2 year's old it is easier to manipulate her by transferring her hatred to her sister and making Rias a big sister-like figure. It was a good plan and they would be loyal to Rias due to her helping them in their darkest times.

Although it did leave a bad aftertaste in her mouth, she didn't intend to do anything. Thinking of Rias she was disappointed, she was too spoiled, Venelana wanted to teach her how to perfect her control over destruction magic. But Rias would always find ways to skip it, with her big brother supporting her Rias was too spoiled for her age. Venelana let out a soft sigh from her mouth and closed her eyes while rubbing her forehead gently due to the stress.

She opened her eyes and looked towards Grayfia who was standing there waiting for her master to speak " So, when do I need to investigate this place " Venelana asked tiredly not at all pleased with the task given by her stupid son. If only her children were cuter instead of acting like brats she would have had such a fulfilling life.

" It would be better if you could go there as fast as possible Lady Venelana, we wouldn't want to risk the facility being abandoned or them knowing our intentions," Grayfia said in a calm tone advising her King to take action as soon as possible.

" *Sigh * I can't even rest for a little while, well I think I'll just have to ask Seri to do this paperwork for me, " Venelana said in a tired tone. She has a lot of businesses and she has to handle a lot of tasks so during her breaks she either drinks some tea with her Queen or does some paperwork. She doesn't do much as most of it is handled by her Knight and her assistants. She is truly grateful to Seri, although Seri may not be the strongest she does have good potential. And Venelana wasn't looking for strength but she wanted someone to manage her businesses and Seri is a genius when it comes to financing and stuff. Not to mention, she was talented and a hard worker to boot. She reached Low-High class in a short time, which was impressive because she was previously just a normal human. Venelana had to say she was a very good swordswoman which was not surprising as the woman was a genius at Kendo but decided not to pursue it and focus on her studies. Anyways Venelana only had two members in her peerage and she considers them as family. She sees them as the two little sisters she never had, but both of them are just too stiff sometimes. But she loves them all the same, she never disdained Seri because she was human like some other pureblood devils, she felt making Seri a member of her peerage was one of the best choices she has made since deciding to accept Grayfia as her Queen.

* Chuckle *

" Seri will not be happy My Lady, did you forget she is on a vacation with her parents for the weekend? She will be mad at you if you shove all this paperwork at her " Grayfia replied with a chuckle imagining her fellow servant's reaction.

" Hmmm~ she won't mind that much when it is a request from her dear King, I'll just apologize to her and treat her to something later for doing this on short notice " Venelana hummed to herself, she will just do Seri a solid later to make up for shoving this paperwork on her.

" So how about we go now to solve this matter as soon as possible ,so I can get my rest when I get back "

" Yes, My lady " Grayfia replied with a nod while preparing a teleportation circle towards their destination.

Inside a cave which was situated deep inside the familiar forest a pair of giant deep blue eyes opened and they were filled with fury.

*ROAR!!*

A loud roar reverberated throughout the forest causing any and every creature to freeze up in fear.

Familiar master Zatoji who heard the roar was shaking in fear, he could only pray that the being wouldn't destroy the forest in its fury.

He also cursed whoever made it this angry and wished them farewell.
