Chapter 50 Control.

A lady was the one teaching. The door led to a big hall where more than 100 students sat. They were separated into 5 groups, 20 in each. And Iris was an extra so he had to join a group making his group 21.

He still was shocked by the revelation that the Wits were blessed with the fire element.

"Even though it is different from Qi it has very similar basic properties, one of which is the way they are controlled. So if you have a good grasp on basic Qi control, then this Will be less troublesome."

This is miss Vera, a tall lady, about 34 years old.

She went to Iris' group, she went to the students one by one and helped them by placing her hand on their baxk, helping them to channel their chakra and balance it. Some got it right some didn't. It was Iris' turn, she placed her hand on his back and poured her chakra into his.

"Aaaah you are blessed by Salamis, as am I"

She said with a calm voice, "you need to calm down child," she said to Iris, " your chakra is wild and it's messing with mine. "

"But I'm calm," Iris replied,

"Oh no you're not, your chakra is like an untamed wild fire, which is ironic because, I heard you're a Wit, and even though most Wits are blessed by Pyralis, they have the calmest chakra you will ever see, their chakra is under so much control that their fire is basically in sync with them."

Iris was perplexed, "I didn't know there was so much involved in controlling chakra as there is in Qi. Back in Dawnville, even out Qi control was pretty basic, we didn't get a very complicated training. Don't get me wrong, there are very strong people in the vast 7 kingdoms, especially in Daria but, what I've heard and seen in Jordan alone is..... "

"You've been left speechless I see " lady vera said softly.

"Well" Iris continued, "the only person I think is an exception to this rule is an old man i met ob my journey, grandpa Cal - "

"Brace yourself" She said as she took control of his chakra with hers.

"What did you do?" Iris asked, "it feels like my mind .... My being is moving in the right direction. It feels calm. "

"Just breathe" she said, "you can tell me about this grandpa some other time. What you need to do is remember this feeling and try to mimic it." She removed her hand from his back and moved onto the next student.

Levi and Kara stood among the recruits. They gathered their Qi and stood in a gorse stance, Qi lady would come around and try to distract them or shake them or make them move.

"You need to learn how to instantly gather your Qi. You need to learn how to call upon it immediately to guard and protect yourself after getting knocked down or dustabilised."

She then walked towards Kara and Levi, she threw a punch at Kara which caused her to flinch, she brought up her hand to catch the fist but it never landed. Her Qi was destabilized. She quickly resumed her stance and a few seconds later, her qi enveloped her body and she was back in training.

"Your Qi response is good" the Qi lady said, "but you need to get your reflexes under control."

She stepped towards Levi. She stood in front of him and threw a fast punch but he stopped it with his palm and without dustabilising his Qi.

"Your senses are sharp, you seem to have some experience with Qi"

"I once was a soldier." Levi responded, "I still am"

"It's more than that. Both of you, the flow of your Qi is similar, were you trained by the same person?" Qi lady asked.

"A man named Calydon" Levi answered with a smile, "he said he's from around here, I don't know which continent or city though, but his Qi was strong. And he had this amazing sword."

"A beautifully crafted sword probably made from a king tier beast core with ice abilities?"

Qi lady asked with a frown. Kara turned to face them, her expression was one of shock abd bewilderment, and so was Levi.

"How did you know?" Levi asked,

But the Qi lady asked a question of her own, "is he still alive?"

"Yeah last we saw was almost or more than three months ago, he was taking care of a small village. Again, how do you know him?"

"He is my uncle."

"Sorry what?" Levi exclaimed.

"He was a high ranking captain in the military, serving in the capital of Avdira under the emperor. He taught me most of what I know, him and my father both."

"Why did he leave?" Kara asked,

"Yeah why did he leave?" The Qi lady left them and went round the class. The training continued for a while then they rested for an hour.

The next hour, they were running, at a steady pace while keeping their Qi surrounding their body at the same time. As they ran, the Qi lady ran with them making sure they didn't use their Qi.

"The aim of this training is thesame thing, you have to learn to control your, Qi in situations like this and not use it or expel it. But to have it on the top of your finger at all times.

She ran ahead of them and assigned other soldiers to monitor them and make sure they weren't cheating. She would sometimes throw rocks at them other times she made other soldiers throw buckets of water.

Then she made them run through the mud in full body heavy armor, while encasing themselves and the armor in Qi.

They were made to eat while using their Qi also. At the end of the day they were all exhausted. Both Kara and Levi were given bunks with the rest of the recruites. They slept in the same room.

After the chakra control training he went to learn how to make constructs which he was already good at, so he didn't stay long in that class.

The next was ice making and this was not easy....
